3 Extended Pentatonic Exercises

The standard Pentatonic Scale fingering is great for playing slow lyrical passages, but when the speed picks up 2 notes per string can get really limiting. A great way of getting round this is to play alternating 3 and 1 notes per string, but this comes with it's own set of problems. Last Saturday Rick Graham posted a quick video "Saturday shred lick" which shows what can be achieved when you do this. That gave me the inspiration to break this down and give you 3 exercises which should let you develop this technique. Rick Graham's Saturday shred video can be found here...
