  • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas reply That's what I intend to do, grow my VidMe channel and make my videos consistently this year and beyond and If I grow my VidMe channel, I will not end up being like those arrogant big channels on here like the ones on youtube who are big lapdogs who cause drama and being an egotistical pig, because i know full well the audience hates that, if anything I will step aside and stay humble as i can on this website and if anyone other big channels decides to have a go at me with their bullshit drama for the sake of views and followers I will ignore them completely, I rather be myself and stay loyal to my own following Army and keeping my own reputation on this website clean, I may face my new and old rivals and enemies coming on this website very soon and I am up for the challenge! That's when i call myself the red Artistic Knight and since I joined this website on the year that vidme launched their website, I will promise myself to keep my VidMe channel in good standing through generations t...moreo come from good times and the shit times but I will stay as I am now and not repeat the same mistake like I did on YouTube since I quit youtube's corporate bullshit, vidme all the way.
    • Exometrium parent reply dang man, very well said. I definitely agree with you and I hope that I can keep my channel well standing like you!
  • [ – ] StevenSketch reply The only problem I can see with this is that it's hard for animators to post consistently on a tight schedule. I guess animators (like myself) could just post speed art or update videos between animations though.
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply Dude I do the same thing like you do, I'm a speed drawing artist and a flash animator, I know it can be a bastard to keep a tight schedule when it comes to make your videos consistently. But try your best buddy.
    • [ – ] Exometrium parent reply that is very true. But what you just said sounds great. I would have little speed edits and maybe try to add some commentary to talk to your viewers :D
    • Sykoo parent reply I usually make a level design every 2-3 days which seems to work fine. (Y)
  • [ – ] quesolips reply Thanks for these insightful tips man, I'll keep them in mind next time I upload.
  • [ – ] LeBlubBlub reply Great tips. I would say another tip is to stick to what you love. Don't pick a type of video that is popular and you aren't in to. Fans can see that.
  • [ – ] JayBirdGamingTV reply Cool video, but maybe you should get a larger audience before talking about this topic?
  • [ – ] WolvenMedic reply Some very key tips here. Well done! Especially engaging with the community. One day your viewers may becomes your friends so it's always good to treat everyone as if they were. As for trolls, 'kill' them with kindness ;)
  • [ – ] Lypstick reply Really thanks for these tips, but what if i don't know what to record or what to talk about? Can you help with this?
    • CuneiformHub parent reply In my opinion, whatever you want. Event obscure themes have some sort of following.
    • Exometrium parent reply So, it depends. If you dont make any videos yet, what categories do you watch? Usually the videos that interest you will most likely be what you post about. So if you watch a lot of gaming, maybe its best to post gameplay of your favorite game. Hopefully that makes sense
    • LeBlubBlub parent reply I think the key is doing what you like to do. If you like, say, COD gameplay videos, then do them. I don't play COD and love pro wrestling, so my channel is wrestling based. That genre might not be as popular as COD, but I love what I do and fans will see that.
  • [ – ] Sharpwing reply Great tips. However, what if a content creator is unable to maintain a consistent schedule? How would they compensate for that?
    • Exometrium parent reply If you can't keep a consistent schedule, that's okay, but when you finally get around to uploading, try to make it at a time of the day that some of your previous videos were posted at, and at a reasonable time that everyone will be able to see it. If that won't work out either, remember, posting a video at whatever time is better than not posting a video at all.
  • [ – ] ItalianGuy235 reply Nice tips man! Very key for growing a fan base on any site, whether it be youtube, vid.me, or what have you.
  • [ – ] lemonadeandlatte reply Good video! Good advice!
  • [ – ] GalacTem reply I will try to put the most memes into my videos, I'll try..
  • [ – ] BrianAiya reply 100% agree with all tips. if vidizens listened to this, I have no doubt that they will see progress.
  • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas reply To exometrium thanks for the 5 tips, this is what I intend to do with my VidMe channel, I plan to post one video per week every Saturday and keeping myself active. I also download your video on my phone so I can listen and remind myself in my spear time for what I must do on my channel and don't I don't worry I will not post your on my channel because I don't do that, I'm a person who respect's other peoples content. So again thanks for the tips
  • [ – ] Wulfe reply Good video! Very professional looking too!
  • [ – ] HeZoKo reply these are some very good tips, great work!
  • [ – ] EtroSomnus reply Great Tips!
  • [ – ] EmmanuelGoldstein reply It is so obvious that this was originally made for Youtube. Nothing addresses the specifics of Vidme and there are a lot of specifics. When I have time I will make a video that addresses them.
    • Exometrium parent reply lol, these are just some basic tips, yes, but they can all be applied, and with a community the size of vidme, it's easier to communicate with your subs and other content creators than it is on youtube.
  • [ – ] PopFizzy reply But what if you're an animator that takes one/two years to make the BEST two minutes of animation quality? That's what I am right now. An animator who takes a lot of time and effort. Gotta draw all those frames in TVPaint you know?
    • Exometrium parent reply I definitely understand man. Personally, i would try to add some filler videos. Yes, they won't be the same amazing quality as your animations, but it'll give your audience something to watch in the meantime, maybe things such as quick draws or something.
    • moviemac parent reply Try posting progress videos, let us know how things are coming along... Viewers appreciate knowing that you haven't stopped, you're just working hard to get them the best quality product...
  • [ – ] GameWolf reply Definitely going to keep some of these in mind, only problem is, having a full time job as well as living with others doesn't leave many hours open to record/edit. But definitely some good points in there.
    • Exometrium parent reply I have the same problem man, I feel lol. I you ever get a chance of a lot of free gaming/video producing hours, try to record a while bunch so that you have something to post during your busy times.
  • [ – ] sarah reply This is awesome! Great tips, definitely what we love to see :)
  • [ – ] HashbrownHS reply what tip would you give someone before the stage of uploading there first video.
    • Exometrium parent reply Find out what category you find yourself watching, and that can give you and idea of what to post. Make sure your videos are clear and crisp, audio is nice, and thumbnails are great as well!
  • [ – ] StayandPlay reply Already do this, yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  • [ – ] neyaonline reply I agree with all the tips mentioned. Here is another one. Make videos because you love making videos and not just for the fame and money. A lot have been doing that lately and it's kind of sad that they don't do it because they like it.
  • [ – ] GatorTheLegend reply Great advice!
  • Dos_Gaming reply Nah... I upload randomly once a month and I'm doing well. I ru the vidme villains and their pretty much the mascots of vidme.
  • [ – ] think-0utside-the-gl0be reply New to this uplifting community....so very-very useful tips! not sure how things work, but just found the tip button!
  • [ – ] dannythompson reply thanks for the tips
  • [ – ] Bruce_lee1947 reply Great video it's funny that i just did most of the things yesterday lol
  • [ – ] CrystariumNet reply I think I have all of that covered. I feel as though my videos are of incredible quality as I make my own assets and animations and all of that. I'd like to think I have varied and diverse content. I've been stagnating on youtube for about a month now, and I have been slowly growing here on vid me. I try to have a recognizable brand. I don't know maybe just being into Videogame and Tabletop RPGs is too niche a subject or something. Regardless I do love doing what I do. Good video though, Keep it up!
    • Exometrium parent reply As long as you love it, it'll be easier to make the content you want, and you'll find yourself working harder to make the videos better!
  • [ – ] 1Axonn reply Good advice
  • [ – ] MetalheyCentral reply All great advice. Good video bud
  • [ – ] Those-Nice-Pixels reply compared to youtube and youtubers posting 'how to grow your channel' this actually makes sense... nice work man
  • [ – ] TatarCast reply Quality over Quantity doesn't work if you upload daily as a small channel.
    • [ – ] Exometrium parent reply I understand, and that is true. What i'm trying to get to tho is that it doesnt matter if post a billion videos, if they arent the greatest of videos, they wont get a lot of views. If you can somehow get out many quality, well put together videos, then that is great :)
  • Dezmounts reply I have an idea, HEY GUYS I DO GOOD CONTENT, MAKE MY DREAM TRUE, I WANT TO BE ON THE FRONT PAGE XOXO, GOODBYE <3
  • [ – ] WolfySenpai reply Great video! Will take all these tips to heart, keep up the great work!
  • superferno reply u should really check my content tell me how im doing
  • BadwolfGamer reply Right now I'm transferring my YouTube Content to my Account I got rejected when I asked for verification not sure why.
  • [ – ] MFKraven reply Hey man, how do you put the categories little thing on the videos we post?

  • [ – ] ValiantShadow reply I know this stuff in theory, but it always bears repeating-- and this was inspiring. Good work! Followed!
  • [ – ] Nicky_ reply Is once a week not often enough? That's all I can do for now.
  • [ – ] InfiniteComboReviews reply *sigh* I have a full time job that has a schedule like a bad part time job so I can only get 1 video out a month. Plus my videos take forever to make because I do a lot of editing and audio clean up.
  • [ – ] PARTISANGUERRILLA reply test comment "test"
  • [ – ] gumbino reply Right now it looks like the only way to grow on vidme is if you get featured
  • [ – ] moviemac reply My day job of driving truck cross country really hurts my ability to remain consistent... I try the super hardness though... As far as being myself; well, I am kind of an a-hole... Don't know if that helps or hurts...
  • [ – ] ForeverRanger91 reply One thing I am waiting for is being able to schedule videos. This is going to help me a lot since I do small podcast like videos and can record a few at a time and get them scheduled.
  • [ – ] SERecordsProductions reply Thanks on the tips and advice there. Quite an informative video.
  • [ – ] Texcat reply I am new and learning to load my stuff so any help is great .
  • [ – ] SpicyRaider reply Thank you for the tips! I'll try to grow here on Vidme and help the community in any way i can :D Let's all help together :)
  • [ – ] SpamJam reply I appreciate your suggestions !
  • [ – ] FossilBossTV reply Thanks ヽ( ◕ ͜つ ◕ )ノ
  • [ – ] ASH7912 reply Thanks for the video!:)
  • Craftwithcookies reply Nice video! I will use these tips to help my vid.me channel get bigger, cause it only has 13 followers and max 5 upvotes on a video so far... Wait, don't you think 13 followers is kind of big, for vid.me? 13 individual people, 2 of them are official vid.me team? Whoa, and its 1/10 of 100, which is basically equivilant to 100,000 on YouTube. So my channel basically has 13,000 subscribers, compared to my YouTube with 5,112 subscribers... oh... i looked at the size of this comment and just realized i have been rambling... i'l stop...
  • [ – ] captbrogers reply I'd also add a tip about potentially writing down and practicing what you want to talk about before hand. No one will make a good video on the first attempt, and a good way to reduce the amount of bad attempts is to practice it out loud. Some people are gifted at being able to speak fluidly and articulate their thoughts on the fly, but most people are not. A video full of "uh" and "um" can be a bit of a downer and reduce that "soft skill" quality of the video.
  • [ – ] JackH750 reply VidMe is censoring political video. I think I'm done here...
    • [ – ] Exometrium parent reply it's not censored, it has its own tab. just not popping up on trending because vid.me wants the site to be friendly
      • JackH750 parent reply I see that. But trending is trending. Its not trending if there filtering the results. Friendly or not its Censorship.
  • [ – ] Reel_Life reply Your tips on how to make it somewhere on Vidme was great. Majority of them made sense and I agree with, but I do have some disagreements; 1. This is kind of a grey area. It makes sense if you are a lets player, news channel, vlogger, reviewer. But if you are a animator or whatever other type of content that takes a lot of effort then those kind of videos take some time to put out and isn't really something you can pump out on a schedule. Both have their pros and cons; pumping out a video more often means you will get the video from your favorite channel asap and be satisfied, but you can get bored of them if you are constantly given the same thing a lot. But if the videos only gets out like once a month then when it comes out it feels special, because there was anticipation and you can savor the moment, but you slowly forget about the channel because of the lack of uploading. 3. Sure if you are a small channel then that is no problem. But if you are a big channel you can't realistica...morelly respond to every person in the comment section. If you get to the point of being quite big and getting floods of comments/messages then its best to make sure you have a good connection with the audience, and make sure you at least acknowledge that you read the comments, and will listen to feedback. One more tip you should've added was listening to criticism/feedback and improving your videos upon that, and not shut all of that down. Or else your content will never improve. Overall a solid video, I will make sure to take your advice when I start posting videos. Thanks!
    • Exometrium parent reply Hey! Response to 1. I understand it takes longer for animators to create content. But I think that filler videos should be added, for example, speed arts or some type of commentary that will show your followers that you are still active. 3. Yes it will be harder to respond. This video definitely is a starter video, and when you do end up getting popular, itll be difficult to reply. Although you may not be able to get to every comment, try to reply to some, because like I said, reply to some is better than replying to none at all. Thanks for the feedback!
  • HypnoPilot reply There Is A Problem... The Weekly Storage For Uploading Videos Gets into the way for people who haven't became verified.
  • RoboxiansReunited reply good video this helped me a lot :)
  • kalapathar reply Hi, could somebody here help me? I dont know why, but i always got declined verify request... what do i have to do to get it?
  • [ – ] DamienSmith reply #1 tip - don't talk politics or this lame-ass kiddie site will keep you off the front page......sigh....back to YouTube.
