Pewdiepie leaves? No problem, they have someone to replace him. Casey Neistat leaves? same thing. Youtube is like China, overpopulated, and when it's overpopulated, everybody is replaceable.
  • [ – ] November_Fox reply I left YouTube when I realized I was easily getting 5 times the views on Vidme than I was for the exact same videos on YouTube. It basically wasn't worth the energy of uploading content to both websites anymore. My YouTube account is effectively dead, but technically still exists. I haven't deleted my account, but instead I set all my videos to "unlisted", in case I need them in the future.
    • [ – ] Y2JayDoesAsia parent reply After repeated analysis I also found I was getting 5 times the views on Vidme. Says a lot of about the fact that there's actually nothing wrong with your videos, rather.... it's more to do with how many people on the platform.
    • [ – ] MrJoelDee parent reply Pretty much, same story for me. I got a more views right away here on Vidme than I ever did on YouTube, plus interaction; being welcomed to the community, etc., that I never got on YT. Also got tired of uploading to multiple sites, plus it seemed YT took longer to upload than Vidme. I put Sat and Sun's clogs up on YT just for the hell of it. At last check, I think Sat's had 4, Sun's had 2 or 3, and it still shows I have like 55 subs, but those vids have higher views here. I mean, I'm not that into numbers. I want people to watch my content obviously, but mainly I post because I like making vids. But yeah, I seriously think I'm done posting anything else to YT.
