  • GundamthaGamer92 reply This is why most modern anime fans don't like classics due to animation. And I wonder why one popular series that are popular aren't popular anymore due to hiatus and long waits
  • [ – ] crzyboy190 reply I think fans would gain interest in Slayers if they adapt they rest of light novels.
    • [ – ] Embrace-your-sorrow parent reply Darkness beyond twilight Crimson beyond blood that flows Buried in the stream of time is where your power grows I pledge myself to conquer all the foes who stand before the mighty gift bestowed in my unworthy hand Let the fools who stand before me be destroyed by the power you and I possess!
      • [ – ] crzyboy190 parent reply Lina was such fun character too follow and her Japanese seiyuu Megumi Hayashibara did such a phenomenal job.
        • [ – ] Embrace-your-sorrow parent reply I think there's no need for more Slayers though. It did everything it could in its first three seasons. Revolution and Evolution-R were pretty lackluster.
          • [ – ] crzyboy190 parent reply Revolution and Evolution- R from what fans told just took little side quest of early light novels and extended them. Also S3 was entirely filler and I do want to the rest of novel animated and the actual ending... LOL!
            • [ – ] crzyboy190 parent reply Can't you delete or edit comments here? Lol.
              • [ – ] Embrace-your-sorrow parent reply You can delete, but can't edit. Slayers kind of backpedaled at the end of second season (which is my favourite season nonetheless). There's no character development and a lack of focus in S3, so I wonder if the light novels are any good.
                • crzyboy190 parent reply If they adapt the rest of novels they will have too change it up to add the rest of cast. Why? Because they'll be getting a shit ton of fan backlash. Even Xellos is an extremely popular character from the both the Slayers franchise and just an anime character from the 90s.
                • [ – ] crzyboy190 parent reply Actually in the Light Novels from what fans told me it was solely focused on Lina and Garry. At least after a certain point and that Amelia and Zelgadis didn't appear in it anymore. Even Xellow he just came back for the final volume.
                  • Embrace-your-sorrow parent reply So it's another case of an adaptation deviating from sourse material. A focus on Lina and Gourry is great, but I doubt they'll ever animate the rest of the novels. If they do, it'll probably be an out-of-continuity season, like blue exorcist 2.
    • [ – ] WaywardNerd parent reply Eh, I really only thought the 1st season was good. By the 3rd season flanderization had set in and the characters we're really predictable. Also, there wasn't any progression since they already peaked in power in the final conflict of the 1st series. Couldn't even muster up enough interest to get past the 1st episode of the 4th series.
      • crzyboy190 parent reply S2, was the best season and is not like slayers was anything special even in its time. I'm actually surprised that it became so popular as did. It did lose a lot of steam during the years but I still think is enjoyable IMO!
