OLD CONTENT! First video I ever posted to Youtube! I made a lot of mistakes though. Enjoy it for what it is :) A simply nitration reaction using nitric and sulfuric acid. WARNING: This is not something to try, especially at home, if you are not experienced. Concentrated acids can cause severe burns and scarring. The nitrocellulose produced in this video is classified as an explosive. Make it prior to use and avoid storage. Nitrocellulose can become unstable over time and release dangerous gasses or spontaneously ignite. NEVER store dry nitrocellulose in a sealed container as this could explode. Both of these acids can be obtained using methods seen in videos by NurdRage. Note: I was a little sloppy in this procedure. I will just list a few things that I should have done:
