The U11+ has a 6 inch Quad HD+ display that’s a little longer with it’s 18:9 screen format. The plus is staying true to the U11 dna with a very solid build quality. we’re loving the unique design that the visible nfc coil gives the phone. HTC went for the see through back because highend gaming rigs have see through parts and let’s face it seeing inside your device is just plain cool. The U11+ is aiming at the high end where there is some strong competition but HTCs camera is among the best on the market, the Boom sound speakers have no competition, we’ve got top tier specs and a 3930mah battery which will get almost anyone through the day.
HTC has put in some leg work when it comes to software, launching on oreo we’ve got edge sense that’s got a circular launcher that helps you to use the handset with one hand, I had trouble opening anytime but I think in time id get used to it. The one thing we’re missing is wireless charging because it waterproof.
HTC has been making great handsets that haven’t translated to big sales, I hope that the translucent black that will be availble in asia early november and europe late november will turn some heads. The high end has stiff competition, now it’s about deciding what you want, if it’s big battery, solid camera and audio you should probably wait for our review before you pick up a new phone.
