Ninjago is hands down one of the most fantastic animes out there today. Originally intended for a Japanese audience, it was distributed in America on the Cartoon Network, and has since gained a legion of hardcore, dedicated fans, including myself.
There are moments where you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll curse out the name of your mortal enemy in the pouring rain. Ninjago is truly an excellent anime with storytelling on par with the greats.
However, the film adaptation of this hot anime is nothing more than shameless cultural appropriation, and I'm here to expose this film for what it is truly is. Not only is it destroying the lore and characterization behind one of the world's favorite animes, it's also forgetting what made it so great to begin with. But is it COMPLETE garbage? Here's my review for 'The LEGO Ninjago Movie'!
Special thanks to my good friend Jonathan, who runs the YouTube channel AubreyStudios82 for working super hard on the Evangelion parody intro for this review! If you haven't seen his animations, you're really missing out, the man's filled with loads of talent. Be sure to subscribe to his channel!
