In this video we give you guys a tour of what a typical airbnb/apartment/accomodation in Japan looks like with a few bonus tips/tricks/hacks we've learned over traveling the last two years. This airbnb was very affordable (we paid 45$ per night, perfect for budget travelers like us), centrally located, clean and the hosts were very accommodating! Or another good way to explore Kyoto is to rent a bike! The accommodation we stayed at also offers discount bike rental rates. ›››Make sure to check the reviews of the airbnb before booking one. Cleanliness, location and a helpful/friendly host is important. ›››Bringing a power bar - a major key if you have camera, cell phone, and etc. This is also handy if you have only one travel outlet adapter which can be very expensive ($10-$15 per adapter) to allow you to charge multiple devices. FAQ's ››› ›››Q: Could you also please give me a list of where to eat in Osaka? ›››A: we highly recommend exploring the dotonbori area and let your nose do the guiding. Ichiran ramen is a must visit for sure but be sure to visit around 11-3pm as we found that there was not a very long wait at that time. We also found the Pablo Cafe right by the Glico Running Man sign was very delicious! We highly recommend the original flavor cheese tarts. Lesli is a huge fan of their soft serve ice cream for their unique light cheese flavored ice cream. Last recommendation is in the restaurant area in the basement of umeda station called Shabu Sai. It is an all you can eat for a very affordable price (2900yen). The beef was very soft and tender and they have an excellent selection of vegetables. ›››Q: I was thinking of traveling to Osaka and Kyoto. Is 2 weeks more than enough for both? Do you know the cost of going back n forth between the two? Its get pretty expensive to fly to one destination to the other. ›››A: I’d say two weeks is fair to see enough in both cities. How you split up the two weeks between the cities is up to your preference of course. When we go back we’d definitely spend more time in Osaka(mostly for food) than Kyoto. Kyoto is culture and site-seeing while Osaka on the other hand has a more city and food culture vibe to it! Cost of going back and forth is relatively cheap as 560 yen one-way (JR tokaido sanyo line)). The prices can go up to 1730yen if you want to take the faster train. If you are only visiting Kyoto and Osaka there should be no need for two separate airports as the Kansai Intl Airport serves both cities. If I could give one recommendation: try to start your trip at the city farthest away from the airport and work your way back. From Kansai Airport there are express buses to take you to Kyoto Station(roughly 2500yen per person one-way). After you’ve spent your time in Kyoto head to Osaka. This way you’re guaranteed to have the easiest and quickest mode of transport back to the Kansai Airport. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #airbnb #kyoto air bnb #airbnb tips #airbnb advices #air b and b on a budget #cheap air bnb #air bnb tour #japan air bnb #japan apartment #what a standard Japanese apartment look like #what a typical Japanese apartment look like #kyoto japan #travel hacks #travel tips #tricks #our japan apartment tour #our Japanese apartment tour #where to stay in japan
