  • [ – ] OralRobots reply I don't depend on anyone either. Those dirty sweat socks aren't going to wash themselves. :P Good luck in the marathon, Jessica!
  • [ – ] UnarmoredForce reply Awesome endeavor to train for a half-marathon! Just pay attention to your running technique as you get back on the saddle.. of running! Glad to hear you're able to get back to something that you love doing!
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Thank you. And I've never been this excited for something ever! I seriously can't believe that after all this time I'm finally able to run like I've always wanted. And I'll definitely make sure to pay attention to my technique.
  • [ – ] galwaybeard reply Best of luck with the run. As we say in Ireland "Mind yourself".
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Thank you! I know it will be a long and difficult journey but I'm so glad that I'm able to start! Thank you so much for watching.
  • [ – ] JustABloke reply Cycling makes me happy, I never win but its the atmosphere, the competition, the relationships you develop amongst others with the same interests. I did a half-marathon once, but being beaten by someone dressed as a minion (and it was so obvious he's seasoned runner, I'm dead certain he was in a minor distance event on the same course) had me smirking. Good luck with your training I'm here rooting for you 👏
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Thank you so much for the positive words. I seriously can't thank everyone here on vidme enough. Everyone has all be soooo supportive. I think it's awesome that you love cycling. It really is great when you find what you enjoy doing. And that is hilarious. I would love to see something like that. I'm sure everyone at that race got a great kick out of the minion guy.
  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply Hey, Jessica, that's great that you are following your running passion! Running can be a bit hard on the body, however, even though it's good for cardio stuff. It would suck to go through all that you've been through with the pins and everything and end up with more problems. But you know your own body and what it can handle. Do you hate it when people say "just be safe"? Like you didn't know that already? As to independence, totally. But we aren't meant to be islands either, I think. You are fortunate to have a twin you can confide in and bounce ideas off of. I have my wife and I can't imagine life without her. She has a fierce independence streak as well but needs help with lots of stuff because of her health. I don't mind because I love her and want her to be happy. And good job on getting the paper done! I always hated writing papers. Not my passion even though writing isn't that hard for me. Maybe I just don't like being judged for my work, and such evaluation is a teacher's job. ...moreI look forward to seeing the kitties in your videos so thanks for including them so often. Well done!
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Running has been a passion of mine since I was about 15 years old. I was overweight and needed to fix that. And I had heard that running had been proven to help with depression. So, I thought I'd give it a try. Running turned my life around. I became, what felt like, a completely different person. I was actually happy and was no longer overweight. Fast forward 6 years to when that was taken away from me. It was terrible... Now that I am able to run again I feel alive again. I know that it is okay to rely on people and that we need people in our lives but I learned to be alone after feeling alone for so many years. And I really just like doing things on my own. It feels great to work on something that is really difficult and then successfully finish whatever it was on my own. I think that it is great that you and your wife have each other. There is nothing quite like love and I am so glad to hear that you have it! I love that you would do anything for your wife. It shows great cha...moreracter, in my opinion. Oh, and I am a pretty good writer I just hate writing for school. I have grown to love writing for my own purposes but anything that HAVE to write is really hard for me to find the motivation to do so. And my kitties are pretty awesome :)
  • [ – ] Rayman327 reply I think it's great that your training for a marathon just be careful you don't reinjure that hip. On the subject of relying on people I feel the same way you do, I try to do things myself works better that way for me.
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply :) I'm glad you think so too. I'm going to try my hardest no to hurt my hip. The pain before the surgery was enough to keep me on track with the recovery process. It is great when you're able to do things on your own. It's nice to see when other people try not to rely on others too.
  • [ – ] HeroicVillain reply Hey, any tips for removing bullets from yourself without passing out? Just asking.
