  • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas reply As A 007 James Bond Fan, I just want to pay my respects to Sir Roger Moore who played 7 James bond films, live and let die, the man with the golden gun, the spy who loved me, moonraker, for your eyes only, octopussy and a view to a kill, also my sincere condolences to his family, R. I. P. To the legendary actor.
  • [ – ] SamEarl13 reply Good tribute, as someone that grew up watching older movies it always surprises me when I hear of actors deaths and realize they were quite old. Still sad either way.
    • MysticSword parent reply Yes, I was (well, still am) a big fan of the James Bond movies. My 2 favorite actors doing that role was Sean Connery and Roger Moore. Each had their own style of course, but I liked how Moore occasionally injected some humor into his role as well. I'm saddened to learn of his passing. But alas, that is a stage of life we all face when it's our time. I sort of feel like doing a James Bond-a-thon, to re-watch a bunch of the older James Bond movies. Well, perhaps when I can spare the time. Really entertaining films to watch and the movie-series is still going strong even after all these many years.
  • [ – ] TheFAWKChronicles reply Tech: I just sat and watched through all of them. I still liked Connery better but personally I think Moore is the only other bond to ever have competed for that top bond spot. Rest in Peace *Privilopian Salute*
    • MysticSword parent reply I'd say my 3 favorite Bond actors would be 3 = Pierce Brosnan, 2 = Roger Moore and 1 = Sean Connery. Of course they all had their own style and personality they brought to the character. I like the humor that Moore sometimes injected into the role. I'm a long-time James Bond fan and one of these days, when I can find the time, I'd like to do a Bond-a-thon, maybe take a weekend to just relax and watch through the various Bond films. And yes, Rest in Peace to Sir Roger Moore. He will be missed.
  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply He once said "Nobody really takes you seriously. And they certainly don't take a pretty boy seriously. They presume you can't act... They're right you know!" He had quite a sense of humor and spoke very modestly of himself. Nice job on the tribute!
    • MysticSword parent reply He was one of my top two favorites that did the James Bond character (with Sean Connery being the other), and I liked the humor he sometimes injected into his role.
  • [ – ] mr1van reply The man lived a long and accomplished life. He'll certainly be remembered a for many more decades to come.
  • [ – ] opaxel1967 reply You all forgot about "THE SAINT " ??
    • [ – ] MysticSword parent reply No, not at all, though I'd say that the James Bond character he did was probably his more famous role that the majority of people might first associate with him. I remember watching The Saint episodes (which in a way that character seemed somewhat alike in some ways to a James Bond type of character). You might notice that the last picture in this tribute is of Moore as "The Saint" with the iconic Saint-halo over his head.
      • opaxel1967 parent reply Guilty as charged ... I was to busy writing and missed the last bit ... he was one of the great !!! with me it was the first time I was aware of him was as the Saint and I liked him ever since .. its a crying shame that he is gone .. like so many others .. however , as long as I can feel sad about it , well , I am still here .. lol ...
