  • [ – ] BarryMikokinner reply Just made the move to vidme and pale moon. Damn, I can't believe this is really happening.
  • [ – ] MyDingaling reply Gonna watch here now.
  • [ – ] Watcher-Seer reply I started to imagine what historians of the future will report regarding Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, etc. I wonder if this has ever crossed their minds.
    • abetterwest parent reply They will most likely look at them as 'revolutionary' technocrats who became authoritarian monopolists who created a hybrid of communism and capitalism to giant institutional control over the flow of media to enrich other technocrats.
    • Phobos_Media parent reply unfortunately the way culture is swinging, they'll end up remembered like they invented cold fusion.
  • [ – ] schoqqer reply I use Netscape Navigator.
  • [ – ] Brandon95 reply 1 Support Libertarianism. 2 Support liberty. 3 Suppprt free speech. #freedom #freespeech #Libertarianism
  • [ – ] Belarus-Chan reply Death to YouTube censorship. Glory to Vid.Mea!
  • ClassicalLiberal reply Styx did point out that vidme doesn't have freedom of speech. Here are the points: Content that is pornographic or promotes or condones racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual; ['bigotry, hatred' against 'any group' could easily be seen to include any criticism of any ideology!] Content that harasses or advocates harassment of another person; Content that is intentionally or shockingly violent, gory, sensational, or disrespectful; ['disrespectful' again could cover any criticism of people or ideologies]. I don't think this will be the site for freedom of speech once they crack down on WrongThink.
  • [ – ] winter__leaf reply I stopped logging into YouTube years ago when Google integrated the comments with Google+. I watched videos as an anonymous user bookmarking my favorite users. I couldn't comment, but I wasn't into the community enough to make a throw away account just to post. This is the first day I've actually commented on an internet video in years, lol. Also, I'm one of those people that just can't get good performance out of Mozilla browsers. I recommend Iridium, if you want to use a Chromium based browser with privacy in mind.
  • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall reply Screw chrome and explorer. I'm all about Safari.
  • [ – ] Rodka reply I personally use (and recommend) Autistici as an email provider. They don't give accounts to anyone though, as you have to "request it". And they offer a comfy free little VPN if you have an account. Btw, install gentoo already.
    • [ – ] schoqqer parent reply I don't trust VPN. I have a hard time believing a business doesn't keep logs for LEA.
      • Rodka parent reply It's a risk, honestly. Autistici are a bunch of activist-hackers and they don't follow a business model; they depend on donations. IMO they're okay. Their VPN is not meant to be used at all times though, as they don't really have much resources.
  • omgomgomgd reply Even the 8 bit guy's videos have disappeared from my sub feed on youtube, and he's not someone who ever posts anything even a little controversial.
  • archangelospumo reply Mozilla (Firefox) Joins George Soros’s Efforts In Launching A Strike Against “Fake News” http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread1181709/pg1 .... Soros is going to help Mozilla do WHAT??????
  • killary reply Styx I will be watching all of your content on Vid.me now. I'm done with YouTube.
  • [ – ] Meloody reply As ExMuslim their censorship is affecting us especially the one who still trapped in Muslim countries we literally feel lonely no one is supporting us we are alone in this world we used to look to the west as a land of freedom and human rights but now we've been abandoned :( 💔
  • ClassicalLiberal reply Thanks Styx, that was very helpful. I use DDG, have just joined ProtonMail, GAB and now Vidme. Only problem about leaving Chrome: need Chromecast for Netflix. Does anyone know a way around that?
  • mjkeating reply I've been using the Brave browser. It's created by the guy who developed Mozilla/Firefox. Privacy is built in. It has a good future, imo.
  • DueyBear reply If you want to hit google's bottom line, use Qwant as your search engine. No cookies, it's made by a small French developer, and the results are much better than Bing.
  • theradvocate reply googletube transplant here
  • douwannadiy reply Microsoft rewards program tbh
  • monkeys306 reply Thanks for the tips im leaving youtube and google. Thanks for uploading in other platform's.

  • wolfalexzemla reply on minds go your channel or news feed to the top where it says enter your status here. type in the name of a video you want to upload. click on the paper clip, upload away.
  • The_MOE_Dome reply Dudes- Styx is the man! that PaleMoon browser is like a hot knife on Butter (my FireFox was running like an old man). Got a Proton e-mail (Just Incase!) - Plus, I like that GAB.AI seems to support Gifs & Video better than it did when I first joined in Sept '16. Good Stuff from the Styx tonight. ***Also, if you're "Blocked" on certain websites - PaleMoon sneaks you in - it's as sleek as Tor Browser ***
  • Phobos_Media reply I hadn't heard of pale moon, but after a trial run I like it a lot. defaulted.
  • [ – ] StonarLogic reply I just made my first video on vidme.
  • abetterwest reply use searx.me as your search engine... Also wtf is with vid.me's Firefox support. The video player is broken.

  • TheologicalMusings reply It was going to happen
  • sickofitall reply Love your work Styx
  • sickofitall reply Styx, how likely is it that Google, if it starts dropping a substantial number of viewers, will turn their resources and fanatical workforce to destroying alternate sites?
  • Bal6fs2 reply All you bas e

  • Bal6fs2 reply Use AOL on a raspberry... * cough ... Nobody will know ur online.
  • [ – ] Nymph3aLut3a reply You forgot to recommend a safe search engine : duckduckgo is my choice. It doesn´t rack you, it doesn´t store your data etc. Get rid of gxxgle.
  • wmvdw reply Thank you Styx, I switched to vid.me, protonmail and the pale moon browser. I am now in the comfortable position that I can delete my Google account entirely. Here's how to do it: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32046?hl=en
  • Existentialator reply First time viewer. Made the jump from YouTube on account of Styx, here. Cheers, man.

  • Aviziotv reply My problem with Firefox is that gets bogged down after while, be def checking pale moon out.
  • RhetoricalEntertainment reply I completely agree with you on this video. I've made some of these points myself over the last couple of months. It's nice to know I'm not shouting into the void and other people are seeing the problems and solutions too.
  • Gelbfur reply Just made the move to Vid.Me and Minds. Fuck YouTube
  • wargodsown666 reply Well Styx I'm moved over as well now and will also reactivate muy twitch for when I stream here we go lol
  • [ – ] Meloody reply Guys I'm using iPhone so what do you recommend as free browser what is alternative to Chrome?
  • RookieRanger reply This is going to be a big event in the History Books of the Internet. What a time to experience. It's a bit of a joy to delete all of my Google-related things.
  • Davd767 reply How about anyone using an android phone? I know you don't like apple either. What do?
  • mamistroud65 reply Vidme.....done it! My day wouldn't be the same without you.
  • Lord_of_Fire reply 1. I'm quite fine with Firefox. I have a whole slew of settings I'd need to redo, and that costs me more time than I;m willing to spend on it. Plus, I also have to re-install and customize all the add-ons I have, so I will stay with Firefox for the time being. Maybe once my PC dies, I will switch over. I would suggest you try out uMatrix rather than NoScript. NoScript tends to blocks thing I can't unblock, which hampers the performance of some of the sites I frequently go to. With uMatrix, I can toggle each individual script, frame, etc. until I get the desired results. 2. I use tutanota, which works the same way. I kinda wish these alternative clients worked with Thunderbird, but for security reasons, I can't do that, which bugs me greatly, because I need to manually go to the site and log into my e-mail-account, and I'm a lazy fuck, who prefers having everything in one place. Also, Yahoo allows the NSA to spy on you. Which reminds me, I should delete my account there one of these ...moredays (not that I use it much, anyway). 3. I have accounts on Minds and DailyMotion, so complaints there. 4. I probably should do that. It definitely seemed more user-friendly when I last checked it out. Also, switch to DuckDuckGo as your default search engine.
  • [ – ] 4thDaGrymReaper reply What about search engine?
  • 899024272141 reply @Styxhexenhammer666 Do you recommend the Brave browser?
  • [ – ] 899024272141 reply Who knew Chinese style censorship will come to America. The only difference is, the Americans are self-censoring for fear of reprisal by their peers and the active removal of content deemed "offensive" by Google, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Anything that is deemed "offensive" is anything that goes against leftist ideology.
  • VybeyPantelonez reply Yourethemannowdog.com
