Moonfall is an action-rpg beat-em-up that succeeds where most others have failed, which is weird because I would assume this is a simple genre to pull off. The game puts you in a position as a soldier in an army on an outpost far away from your home, helping your nation defend against the Savages from the outside realm. You are sent on various rescue missions and garner up Luminite which is the game's currency, from foes to buy yourself better gear and such. The game is pretty well done but unfortunately there's a big lack of story, it's just running missions over and over, but it's a great time-killer.

Moonfall is a hand-painted side-scrolling 2D action RPG beat'em up set in an industrial gothic universe named Terra Nihil. It tells a story of a once small Empire at the peak of its glory attained by a mysterious element called Lunarium that suddenly experiences a surge in attacks from so-called Savages, aboriginal tribes living outside its borders.
