  • [ – ] JustABloke reply Are you sure that's herding, he looks hungry 🍽
    • [ – ] therunningrebel parent reply Haha yup (although I'm sure if he got a taste of a bunny, he'd enjoy it ;) ). He's demonstrating his natural instinct to "gather" livestock. Which means he just wants to get them into a group, and with training he'd learn how to actually use that instinct to preform tasks. I think is all super interesting lol. His natural instinct is to "gather" but Lily's is to "drive", which is just getting the livestock to move. Although she's actually had some training and has worked cattle and goats, so she became pretty decent at gathering and holding livestock in one place (especially the cows when we were feeding them, which was super handy). She was also able to put the goats into their shed if we needed them in there. :) and poor Dean doesn't have very strong herding instincts, but he does keep squirrels and birds out of the garden, and he's my running buddy, so it all works out lol. :)
      • [ – ] JustABloke parent reply thats awesome, i should send my cat your way to your pet boot camp, all it does is eat sit in the sun and sleep. i have always wanted a dog but my wife says they smell like wet carpet 24/7 🙁
        • [ – ] therunningrebel parent reply lol you'll have to talk to @JessicaMartwin about cats, she's the cat expert of the family. I have two but they do just about the same as yours haha. Awww that sucks...and is totally not true! My dogs currently smell like nasty pond water because they've been rolling around in mud puddles lol. But when they're clean they usually smell like the outside.
