Tehran, Iran — After emitting thick fumes for hours, a 17-story high-rise building which caught fire for unknown reasons came down on Thursday, January 19, 2017, allegedly killing at least 35 firefighters and injuring more than 75 people.
With the Plasco building we can recognize characteristics such as thick fuming for hours, and a thick cloud of dust emerges during the destruction. All sections of the building appear to fail at the same time, and there doesn't appear to be much sound of a building crashing down nor explosions. The pictures seem to paint a much different story than fire being the cause.
How can fire cause every support of a 17-story structure to quietly fail at the exact same time?
