A review of the Master Grade Gundam Alex from 1999.
This is my first negative review of a model kit, so I wonder how this will play out.
I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining too much, but really, this kit is just not up to par. I guess it's a product of it's time. But I've built a lot of kits from the year or two after this and they've been fine regardless. Every other review of this kit I've found has said just as much negative about it, but always recommend it at the end lol I try to be a little more analytical, so I wasn't gonna sugar coat this. WAIT- Am I questioning my methods of reviewing robot toys? I think I've finally lost it lol I'm ending this rant now!
-I shot all the still images for this review using RAW. I'm so happy I did, because I can just drop the RAW files into Photoshop and get way more options for exposure. It adds an extra 2 hours to these reviews, but look how much that blue pops! It looks better in this review than in real life lol I wonder if there's some way to get the same exposure options with the video footage too...
-I'm still trying to get the hang of Adobe Premiere. This review was much quicker to edit, but I think I finally hit a bit a wall in terms of interesting shots and transitions. I need to work on that. I want to make more of a vaporwave-esq style but I'm also reviewing robot toys....so I probably shouldn't go over board lol
-I got a bit more consistent light out of that LED. I instead put it on top of the camera, which gave everything I nice even lighting. I'm still looking to get 2 more so I can have some more consistent 3 point lighting.
