  • [ – ] theoldsparrow reply I try to clear my head and not think about it until there is a right time and place to tackle the cause of the stress. I spend most of my time trying to clear my head. In defense of the productivity of video games it really does simulate achievements. You put in work so there is a level of stress and then the delayed gratification as a reward. It's a lot like working on a project and just as emotionally rewarding.
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Clearing the head is a great thing to do. I tend to overthink the situation if I don't take some time away from the problem. And that's a great point about the video games. I used to play every day but I have not had much time lately but that's okay.
  • [ – ] JustABloke reply Anything physical is good to smooth away the stresses, I'm not talking about 1 on 1 crush your opponent into submission type of activity, but cycling (go figure) or even running (this is weird but I do have thoughts going through my mind while running), maybe fishing, gardening etc. But for me, it's a nice big cuppa tea in front of my computer reading vlogs 🍵 🌯
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Ooh, I love tea. It seems to help me relax :). Cycling really does help too. I plan to ride my bike more when I am in Colorado. I haven't been able to because my bike pump is broken and my tires are flat. I am not a fan of fishing but I love watching other people fish. My twin sister LOVES fishing and I like spending time with her. So, I have spent many hours watching her fish. It is really relaxing, especially when it is warm outside.
  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply Hey, Jessica, another cool topic! We all have stress, right? Let's see. Things I've done to help me deal with my stress: Eat tons of junk food, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, smoke weed, complain at length, obsessively worry, curse vehemently, slam doors (poor doors!), yell loudly (poor neighbors!), throw stuff (poor stuff!), threaten the universe/God (poor universe/God!), get depressed (poor me!), play video games, watch t.v., surf the internet, sleep, drive around aimlessly, go for long walks, ponder the meaning of life, toss stuff in the air and catch it, write in a journal, argue with people (poor people!), listen to music, chat with friends/wife, sing horribly (poor everybody listening!), read books, create music/videos, study for school, watch movies, sex, daydream, clean things, exercise, write comments online. Oh, wait, was the question "What activities have filled the many days of my life?" Hey, same list! What a coincidence.
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Oh wow, you have a lot to say about dealing with stress! It is crazy how many things we do to help with stress or distract us from the stress. I hope to find more ways to deal with stress because I know that stress will always be a part of my life. We have a few things in common when it comes to dealing with stress, haha. Thank you so much for sharing :)
  • [ – ] ASideofFem reply I love to de-stress by playing video games too. I also, meditate, listen to music and dance. Great Vlog!
  • [ – ] becomebusy reply Stress will down our shoulder. Be real, Stress will never upto your shoulder, But when you thinking a lots and feeling low. This mean u inviting stress.
  • [ – ] JustABloke reply Well I just watched someone play fallout 4 here on Vidme, from what I saw it was the opposite of relieving stress LoL
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Haha, fallout 4 is my FAVORITE. I've played for 100+ hours... I have an excuse though. I played so long because I was unable to do much else because of my hip dysplasia...
  • [ – ] HeroicVillain reply First!
  • DrCut reply Nice topic. :) I fight stress with comedy movies. We have all power to block the stress with laughing. Laughter should be mandatory. ^^ Also, the meditation is great to find the calm and serenity but it's not easy to let our minds free.
