  • [ – ] Platypus67 reply Yeassss!! Great cover - sounds so different with your voice; but that's the goal of a cover: make it sound different but still recognizable. Great work, wanna hear more!!! 😜👍😎
  • [ – ] thy_koosk reply fUCK YES
  • [ – ] ofalltheginjoints reply The Ramones! Oh yeah. Thanks for that take. You did make it your own as someone said here. Nice.
    • Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply Heck yeah! I enjoyed playing this one. Thinking of covering What's My Age Again by Blink 182. But I am working on a pretty cool original song.
  • [ – ] Greebly reply Do you do any original music?
    • Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply And yes I do original music. I have something cooking up. I'll have an original in two weeks. If you look at some of my older videos, I do have original pop punk music on the channel. Glad you enjoy the stuff on here. :)
  • [ – ] Greebly reply Seems like you may listen to a little Jonathan Richman too? I like that you made B.B. your own! Keep pushing the envelope my man.
    • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply I actually never heard of Jonathon Richman. And what do you mean that I made it my own? Like add my own flavor to it?
      • [ – ] Greebly parent reply Made it your own: so, yea the Ramones wrote it, but your version of it has your personality and experience added to it. If you had done it to sound like the Ramones it would just be a cover tune, but clearly you put thought, heart and soul into it - you made it your own.
      • [ – ] Greebly parent reply Jonathan Richman is very old school, and many would say he invented punk; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2x7D2VUP62I, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebURIAawBRI, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ga60Dp7t84. Meant as a compliment, absolutely - J.R. is one of my favs! I dunno, something about the inflection in the voice, the video itself - I just thought I saw a little J.R. in there.
        • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply People have actually told me that my vocals sound a little bit like Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day which to me is a compliment all day. lol.
  • [ – ] SilentGamer reply You are too good my friend :D :D :D
  • [ – ] KeepTrueKC reply I was waiting for this one! Sounds great!
  • [ – ] Dragoninkmusic reply Hell yeah man! Punk rock meats Rockabilly! Love it!
    • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply Heck yeah. I really enjoyed doing this cover. Glad you like it. Someone said my vocals sounded a little like Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. lmao.
      • [ – ] Dragoninkmusic parent reply actually I just listened again, and if you ignore the fact that its a ramones cover it could have actually been been on the revolution radio album, he did have that southern rockabilly sound in his vocals for a couple of tracks
        • [ – ] Rage_By_Nightfall parent reply Yeah, very true. Well the difference really...is recording in horrible analog versus today's recordings which is not only digital, but computerized. Music isn't as compressed as it was then. The Ramones being punk rock is very very debatable. I actually consider them to be the first pop punk band. The Ramones were THE band that made that cross over between punk rock and pop punk. The Ramones ARE the gray area.
          • Greebly parent reply I always thought of the Ramones as the new Beach Boys - so I totally agree about the pop thing.
          • [ – ] Dragoninkmusic parent reply yeah your right, I'm just part of the generation that doesn't really differentiate between sub genres... To me, emo pop-punk, post-punk its all punk rock to me. It's probably why my original stuff never really went very far, I was marketing it to the punk rock crowd when I should have been marketing to the pop-punk crowd, but never really saw a difference between them.
