  • [ – ] Rawman reply CRAZY ROCKY YES!!! non problems are real...Well fake...But real because they are problems that are non problems haha. Yeah i was trying to come up while Thuleun was there and it was basically impossible he was dominating. It was demotivating. TheWolfLegion really messed up with that video. Eyyyy the shoutout appreciate it! This is what you call real news! Great journelism!!! WELL DONE! DAMMMN!!!!! THAT PART WITH THE ACCOUNTS!! Standing ovation!!! Praise be to Rocky!!!
  • [ – ] BrianAiya reply i commented on this video that it's better to email with the links of these channel instead of making a vid so quickly. Well said Rocky! Respect for you for exposing creators respectfully with good reasons and evidence to back up your claim.
  • [ – ] anorman728 reply I'm one of those people that almost left after seeing one of the videos you mentioned (won't say which-- don't want to start a personal flame war). When I discovered it was misleading, though, I was relieved. I like the way that Vid.me works, and I hope it continues to grow.
  • [ – ] MysticSword reply Making fake-news and click-bait should be against the rules (and I think it already is). And I think making sock-puppet accounts (or multiple accounts or fake accounts) is against the rules too I believe. Anyways, If that's the case (anyone who makes sock-puppet accounts or creates fake-new or click-bait), then I hope all that person's accounts get removed and hopefully they'd also be blocked from creating more accounts. But unfortunately someone who is persistent at doing such BS and with a bit of know-how may be able to find ways around it.
    • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply It is against the community guidelines to create multiple accounts. The vidme team im sure will review his channel and discover whether he is or is not abusing the upvote system
      • [ – ] DanicaLee parent reply Its actually kind of a shitty rule. I want another channel because I want to make a series of videos that's for a different audience and would probably take away from my attempt to create a brand if I mixed them, and has nothing to do with me wanting to upvote my own videos. But I don't want to make this second channel because I don't want to risk my main one being taken down as well.
        • [ – ] DanicaLee parent reply My plan was to have a tentacle dangling in various different markets but I can't do that here.
          • [ – ] CuneiformHub parent reply Why not just create multiple accounts with a different email? As long as you're not upvoting your own stuff with like 50 accounts, I doubt there's a problem.
            • [ – ] DanicaLee parent reply Because that's how most multiple accounts are made anyway is with different emails. Most services don't allow you to create multiple different accounts on one email. Even with youtube you have your main account, but then you can make multiple subchannels off of that (which vidme doesn't have yet)
              • [ – ] DanicaLee parent reply So theoretically I could make multiple channels but I would be breaking the rules and risking having my main one terminated too. And nobody would really feel bad for me because I broke the rules lmao
                • [ – ] BedtimeGaming parent reply You can make multiple accounts, there is no rule against it, but there is a rule to not artificially upvote your own videos or even other videos, pretty much, just don't abuse the system.
  • [ – ] MFKraven reply Oh GOD, HE'S FAKE NEWS!!!! great investigative work again with that dank ass medical marijuana
  • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy reply People should know by now that you shouldn't post anything of that nature without evidence. That's just how the world works in general. I applaud your research into this and bringing it to light. You're like the Vidme Detective here lol :)
  • Wolfer reply Yes. Yes. Yes.
  • [ – ] danielamann reply Hey @Conner @sarah @duffy @warren @alex Tagging you guys just to make sure you are aware of what could be a potential issue. @CrazyRocky I agree with you that non-problems are definitely a problem. However, just to be clear (and I think you did a good job not jumping on him in an inappropriate manner) there is a chance those accounts weren't made by him. They very well could be, but I've also had days where suddenly I get a large handful of new accounts up voting my one video and only following me, and it can be scary because even though I didn't do it, it can look very bad to the outside. Sometimes I wonder if people try botting specific accounts in an attempt to get that person in trouble. Like you said, though, things do look off a tad, so I'm sure the vidme team will be doing their investigative work!
    • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply Yup that is why I said "potentially" I know it is possible he did not make them, but on another video of his there are more new accounts with no avatars that gave him quite a few upvotes that is the main reason I posted this but just on case it is not him I didnt want to make him look too bad so I didnt add in the part about his other video. You can go take a look to double check me if you would like.
      • [ – ] danielamann parent reply I definitely believe you, and I also think it looks sketchy. Props to you for going at it so objectively. Trust me, as someone getting a BA in Journalism this May after 4 years of school, seeing you not jump straight to conclusions was really impressive. Most people don't react that way, and I seriously think this is a very well done video.
  • [ – ] AdachiTohru reply It's important to know that this is a platform that just got off the ground. It's always good to make suggestions but make sure to ask yourself if it's really a major problem.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Exactly we don't want to scare off newcomers with too many complaints while the site is still in its earlier stages
  • [ – ] xNoble_Guardian reply I thought I noticed more "problems" with Vidme than usual.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Exactly, and that's what we as a community really need to stop. We need to make sure real problems get to trending so that way the vidme team takes all of us seriously.
  • [ – ] Wolfer reply By the way, i wrote that guy saying it wasn't an issue and he answered me with just question marks lol
  • [ – ] GrawlixPodcast reply Oh snap! I happen to watch this right after TheWolfLegion's video. Good job, man! I agree with many of the other comments here... you are now the Vidme Detective!
  • [ – ] JessicaMartwin reply I had no idea that this was a problem but it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the information. I can't believe that people would actually do that but I guess some people are just desperate for attention.
  • mindofklink reply Funnily enough by doing what he did, he never actually proved his point true, rather he exposed a very legitimate problem with Vidme - the ease of which it is to manipulate upvotes in order to push said videos to the front page. Since Vidme is basing its model off of Reddit, all it's positive and negative traits carry over. It's extremely easy to purchase bots and/or Reddit accounts to upvote and downvote content to push certain pieces of information while burying others. Reddit users on the whole only read headlines and the same thing is happening here (upvote videos based on thumbnails/titles rather than watching) The solution seems relatively simple; only allow the ability to upvote after a video has been watched. How hard or feasible it is to implement I can't say for sure but something needs to be done about it. Good video and great investigative skills. Keep it up!
  • [ – ] SubZeroAppleSauce reply The thing that annoyed me the most about the Needs to Stop video was that he was acting like reuploading of viral videos, and such was a new thing, when in reality, that's been happening ever since YouTube first came out, and most reuploads were posted back on YouTube! Non problems, indeed!
  • Naturenerd1000 reply I knew that boot Leger big YouTubers thing was complete BS
  • PowerKegGreg reply Thanks for the heads up @CrazyRocky! I also thinking there needs to be a line as to what is considered click bait as well.
  • [ – ] KayToons reply Honestly people should just stop trying to play Vidme because Crazy Rocky is gonna shut that shit down and expose it fast lol
    • S1Husky parent reply It's especially obnoxious on here because unlike on Youtube smaller creators actually have a pretty fair shot at being discovered. We find a platform that's actually fair to creators of all sizes and people are still like "NOT GOOD ENOUGH!". Guess they'll learn the hard way lol.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply So many people tryna play vidme ima have to do a weekly show of just exposin all the bullshit 😂
  • [ – ] RetroBit reply Ugh I watched that "vidmes problem" video, which gave me a good chuckle. I spend a lot of time around here on occasion and I don't think I've ever come across a "bootlegged" YouTuber video as of yet. I can pretty much give you a TL;DR of that video too. "Vidme has an issue in which I have no evidence to support. Look! You can give me money with the buttons below!- End".
  • Cromedome reply I am new to this site and I found the information you have addressed here a very good thing. I will continue to check to see if you have posted more information on this problem. I now know what to be aware of thank you for posting the info.
  • VanJazz reply What we have is people using YouTube methods here, YouTube has become something very different from what is was before the Google Buyout. Thank you for calling out these people because they will ruin this forum with this kind of BS and turn into Youtube Mk 2
  • [ – ] SamEarl13 reply It really is bad what people have been doing to get a false sense of popularity, its surprisingly how little power can get to some people's heads. Also another non-problem I've noticed is a few people acting as if there's some sort of YouTube/VidMe war. A real problem is the spam bots in the new section but Alex (the cofounder) told me on Twitter they're already working on fixing that.
    • danielamann parent reply This is true. The stance Vidme takes is that they aren't trying to take down a place like Youtube. They want to be their own entity that flourishes alongside other social platforms like YT, Twitter, etc....People have sort of missed out on that at times
  • Zimbo_Gamer reply Can't quite dislike the video can u...
  • [ – ] hockeyknight reply But VidMe isn't exactly 100% pure. You say you don't want to scare off new users, but what about the legitimate gripes? What about the spamming of videos going on that I've seen in 24 hours? What about the ability to upvote videos without actually seeing the video at all? There are problems in this site. There just needs to be courageous voices willing to point them out and not shamed into keeping quiet. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING -- SAY SOMETHING!!
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Oh also the spamming of videos is likely just people moving their videos from youtube, to vidme
    • Aureolin parent reply Good point you are raising about up votes. Maybe there should be a minimal time limit before you can vote. Vote fraud would probably be too time consuming to pay off.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply No one is saying to not address real issues! It is just that we as a community need to make sure our creators are on the up and up and are talking about genuine problems
  • [ – ] kendrakane reply Comments disappearing? it could be several things if you are talking about you tube
  • [ – ] GrayRPG reply I agree with what you're trying to say and this kid needs to know that exaggerating those issues could really stump the growth of Vidme. I just hope this Vidme "drama" doesn't blow out of proportion...
  • [ – ] PUREGAMINGDNA reply Fantastic video bro. Non-problems need to disappear fast! Can you increase the volume a little bit on future videos, it's quite low sounding on my laptop. Followed!
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Thanks for watchin and this is the second time I've heard this complaint now so I will definitely make the next video louder!
  • WolfyAU82 reply I knew there was something about bootlegging in the terms & conditions!
  • Proto reply Well said Rocky. Appreciate this video,
  • TheDualHandPath reply Looks like this went trending in about an hour btw :)
  • GirlDoesRant reply When I got my account here, one of the first things I did was go through my YT subscribers to find and follow them on here. I think I found maybe one of tons of them that might, MIGHT have been someone posing. Have to agree that I doubt it's some kind of epidemic warranting any real worry. Even if it were serious, I've had VidMe admins reply to some unrelated concerns of mine very quickly and have no doubt they'd take action immediately if that ever became a serious issue.
  • TehManBob reply Yea I agree vidme should have phone verification like they send you a text message and you enter it back to verify accounts that would get rid of more people making multiple accounts
  • S1Husky reply This is exactly why people should be skeptical whenever possible. If someone is making a positive claim about something but hasn't provided evidence that supports their claim, it's best to not rely on it as fact. Thanks for making this video! :D
  • TallTaleTV reply Thanks for this. It's good to know someone's fighting for vidme
  • Aeirety reply Can't agree more
  • [ – ] MisterHan2000 reply You know, it's funny. I hear about problems like this or another nature on YouTube and people complain about it to the moderaters/staff/whatever, only to get some write-off response that doesn't help, or don't get help entirely. Comparatively, a problem with Vidme was handled by a CONTENT CREATOR. And pretty much successfully from the looks of things. If that doesn't say anything about this community, I don't know what does.
    • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply Also if you're talking about the non problem, problem and youre saying you think I handled it successfuly then thank you I hope to stop seeing things like this from here on out :) (if thats not what you were saying my bad xD)
      • MisterHan2000 parent reply Yes, I'm talking about your non problem as far as handling it successfully, but when I said problems like this or another nature, I meant problems in general, whether they're cause by video makers or the company(youtube) itself. Sorry I didn't clarify myself earlier. Keep up the great vids!
    • CrazyRocky parent reply I cant tell specifically which problem you are talking aboht or which content creator, but this community is a very strong community and I think it's because all of the vidme creators that are considered big actually watch other peoples content and interacts with them which in turn allows for more and more people to see it. The community here truly is amazing
  • GalaxyGaming reply us true vidisens will always stick together because like you said we see the true potential of vidme and want to see it grow :) if someones creating fake news they will always get caught out with the facts
  • [ – ] 100PercentLegit reply "non-problems" thats one way to word it hahaah nice video!
  • [ – ] JimGiant reply Honestly first time I saw one of your videos I thought you were a Leafy clone but with a few more brain cells but this was some solid work. What a piece of shit.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Honestly I am a leafy clone it's a running joke on the channel that I copy leafy and pewdiepie and scarce and what not, but some videos like this one I just use the style of leafy because my face is not the nicest thing to look at lol. But thank you for watching, and thanks for the compliment
  • MutantPixel reply Great vid here, I'm going to start posting content on here once I get everything up and running. If this "Problem" had went far and wide I may have said nah this isn't for me. Any ways, great stuff.
  • [ – ] CatAMations reply Yah peoplw will do it no matter where they are youtube or vid.me
  • MarkWhippy reply Wow this is crazy. Watching that video, seems like he's just jealous about youtubers getting more views than him. I wish more people were more sceptical about this
  • [ – ] Roolooth reply Because a lot of new accounts appear on one particular day doesn't mean they are fake. Maybe new accounts are only fake in your eyes if you are opposed to the views of the person getting the upvotes. . It could also be that people opposed to his views set up fake accounts to try and get his account shut down? Either way he says he's not going to be using Vidme in the future. You seem to be quite obsessed by ThuleanPerspective, will your next video be about him too?
  • Rayman327 reply I also commented on his video but then after was wondering why he never reported these fake channels. As for these multiple accounts if it is true it's definitely against the rules.
  • boozebgood reply wow he sounds like some 12year old with too much time on his hands i mean come one making accounts just to promote his video WOW
  • bratheshow reply This was really an amazing video... In my opinion, the only real problem is..I don't know how to say it - (not a native speaker so sorry)...but I don't get why the whole "trending/hot" page is still full of videos shitt*ng on youtube. It is sad. I know that people want to share their opinions but I guess that by now.. everyone has had enough of this... Sorry not sorry but videos with big titles "Leaving youtube vidme rules" are almost in the same category. Only a few people really feel this way. The rest have just seen in on the trending page and recycled the idea to get sympathy upvotes and tips. No hate but still...
  • [ – ] TheVideoGamingChannel reply The hashtags on the description, lol.
  • Wolfer reply I made a non problem address I tomorrows video about click bait ^_^
  • wearegods reply It took me a while to start uploading videos to Vidme, primarily because it seemed to be more about anti-feminism and general drama. Thankfully I have several larger channels supporting me with encouragement. Nurdrage is who got me to regularly upload.
  • theoldsparrow reply A measured argument with anecdotal points to back it up. Well done.
  • Dos_Gaming reply You know... coming from the future I have a very unique view of all of this. Everything everyone does will be for nothing when the earth burns up in 2782. So please everyone! Just have fun and do what you want to do because everyone from Rich to Poor will die some where some how!
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply I can tell you that they are idiots on the Internet that will try to poison people by persuading them no to join vidme which is pointlessly pathetic because of the whole vidme censorship Bullshit this is basically drama and it is boring,
  • madel_schmadel reply EweTube employees are fat cats living on a salary and as SJWs, they lack any morality or ethics. Combine the two and you have sock puppet accounts appearing on sites that compete with your ability to buy fancy sushi in Berkeley.
  • Kirsty_J reply thank for bringing this to light, some people can be so shady!
  • [ – ] UnauthorizedExpression reply I don't think video creators should have control in any way over the comments left for their videos.
  • octopusievideos reply Vidme needs to grow
  • Profitsforall reply Here lies another problem with the Vidme where people need to discuss money in here. I'm for content creators earning income through their work. However, it may take awhile before vidme can establish a well thoughout sysytem that benefits everyone. In the meantime as for myaelf I have been taught a way to make passive recurring income without unessessary marketing or recruiting if you want to learn more check my channel out.
  • Rubadux reply I just joined the community. Thanks for pointing out some of the irks and problems of vidme -- YT has ridiculous amounts of fake accounts with ridiculous or pirated content, and ridiculous view counts. Looks like YT's adsense revolution has something to do with that. Let's hope this nuisance won't follow us over here!
  • Cauchemar reply For some reason, when I saw that video in the hot section, I didn't even bother with it. Guess I have killer instinct... Oh god that pun was too good. Anyway, good job, detective, I came here expecting another BS video stating this kinda stuff but was pleasantly surprised!
  • skpacman reply Thank you for being a community advocate. "He says what everybody is thinking" is the first thing that comes to mind when you make these kinds of videos. Stay humble, my friend.
  • [ – ] BrassCandy reply I think what you talk about here is really a problem on a larger scale as well. Not only are people making videos about non-problems to get featured, but you have people pandering to Vidme by putting "Vidme" or "YouTube Sucks" in their titles. There have been countless videos like this that have been featured, and all of them are the exact same repetitive garbage. I know the outcome of every "Vidme vs YouTube" before the video even starts, because all 254,532,455 of them are carbon copies of the other. All these people want is that feature. And they'll kiss up to do it. And in this case, they'll bash on them. And Vidme will feature it so people know they can handle criticism. (There's nothing wrong with them featuring critical videos, but I believe creators are abusing it.)
  • [ – ] Kassiopia reply Dude he isn't uploading videos to scare people away from vid.me. He's trying to game the system like he probably did, or does, YouTube. He was trying to make drama videos so he could get a lot of likes and subs. However, thank you for exposing him as someone trying to abuse the system.
  • roshugaming reply Wow that is ridiculous people just trying to get that internet fame I guess lol if you want it earn it legitimately not by cheating the system.
  • [ – ] AnimeReviews reply I noticed that the video you mentioned is suddenly gone, I was going to undo my upvote!
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Yup also the guys brother claimed I was harrassing him in this comment section, and that is gone as well as far as I can see
  • KevinXY1989 reply Those people are paid by the CIA! TO CENSOR FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!
  • AbandonedPlaces reply You do some great research bro! Please keep on doing this!
  • [ – ] ProjectKillJoy reply You need to set your audio levels higher. You are much quieter than any other channel on here.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Hm strange sounds fine on my end and I haven't seen anyone else mention anything. If anyone else mentions it I'll be sure to up the volume
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply The only thing I hate more is people moaning, winching and complaining about vidme having problems and treating this website like youtube claiming that vidme is censoring us when I know it is 9000 percent pure mega Bullshit, vidme has given us respect to us content creators without nothing wrong.
  • Calibri_Funtimes reply Hey @CrazyRocky, thanks for looking out for us Vidizens. VidMe is a really special community and I would hate to see it tarnished so young. If anyone else suspects foul play, it's 100% appropriate to wave a large red flag and inform the VidMe team.
  • tonygreene113 reply I ain't going nowhere. Everything takes time to hash out. Especially when it comes to interweb platforms and social networks.
  • Directionally_Challenged reply I really agree with you man! I'm still new to vidme and still getting used to the style around here (though, i love it) But i'd hate to see people leave just because some people want to game the system :\
  • [ – ] iAmEnglishTV reply Great video. You made a lot of sense!
  • Klatto reply Why is it Vidme doesn't have a downvote feature?
Download the Vidme app!
