  • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas reply If the Internet shuts down fully I will be disappointed.
    • [ – ] iiMitor parent reply I'd be too, it'll leave me devastated... I feel like my whole life is on the internet
      • [ – ] RagingKitten parent reply But do you feel that way because people in general have started taking that direction? there are many studies that show due to the internet that people have more friends, but people dont have close friends like they used to, people are more likely to leave and feel less connected to the people they're close to, and this is something which a lot of people feel A lot of people think they'd be lonely without the Internet, but thats only true if you become the only person without the Internet, if the Internet shut down completely, then peoples social lives would improve immensely. The Internet is one of the best creations that people have ever made, but I think we made it a problem when we decided to create smart phones and always online connection a possibility. Obviously this is just one side of life but I think its one of the most important.
        • [ – ] iiMitor parent reply Yea I understand what you mean, but that happens to people when they cannot separate the online world from the real world. I notice a lotta people spend so much time on their smartphones that they throw a complete tantrum should they lose it or something happens to it, I think that is bad. I don't think we should be so dependent on the internet and our online lives that we lose our sense of reality and what is real. Most of my friends are irl, because I am able to make that connection with them physically, but I also do have really good friends online who I connected with on a mental level. So, I'd say if the internet were to suddenly disappear my life wouldn't necessary be over, but I'd be disappointed because I'd lose a lot of stuff. A lot of important information to me is online so losing that would hurt, but it wouldn't necessarily be the end of the world cause I can easily rebuild those things. I think smart phones and extensive online connection is an incredible and absolutely be...moreautiful thing, but it has to be used sparingly and wisely. You cannot associate your very being and existence to your access to the internet, that is limiting yourself greatly. Be able to enjoy the real world while still indulging yourself in the beauty of the online world. But I dunno, mine is a special case kind of, I grew up for the first 11 years or so of my life with no access to internet or much technology, I only got introduced to those things when I came to America, so my thoughts and experiences with the online world is a little different. But I can totally understand where you're coming from.
          • [ – ] RagingKitten parent reply With my case I grew up in the country side where no one really lived, there was never anyone to talk to or hang out with so I spent most of my life online and making friends over the Internet, I only started having close friends offline during the college days of my life, and I suffered greatly from anxiety which still occasionally pops up but I'm usually very good at dealing with now, I feel like I only have a very few close friends, who I can only get in contact via Internet, due to everyone being split up due to choosing different university's. I've both seen a extremely negative and extremely golden side of the Internet, it allows friendships and communication where there would not have been, but used wrong it comes with a LOT of negative consequences.
            • iiMitor parent reply True true, it really is a depend on the person and situation kinda thing. But interesting to think about nonetheless
  • maxwaxhax reply I don't think it would be that bad, the only thing that would suffer the most is news. Other than that people would actually talk to each other again in person ahahaha
  • [ – ] opaxel1967 reply Please , slow down talking ....
    • [ – ] iiMitor parent reply Yea, I definitely need to work on talking slower.... Gonna try and pace myself better in the future. Thanks for the feedback! and thanks for watching... :)
      • [ – ] opaxel1967 parent reply ok , but you are right of course , no internet , deep shit all way round .. 20 years ago would not have been a problem , but now , its to late , cant turn the clocks back .. our own fault
        • iiMitor parent reply It really is crazy just how much we've come over the years... considering the way some people react when they just lose their wi-fi, I can only imagine how the general masses would react with the complete loss of the internet... Makes me feel fortunate that I spent the first half of my life without the internet. It is at least a bit easier for me
  • [ – ] YourSugoiStrwbry reply If the internet shut down.. how would I get my daily dose of Muse and Aqours?
  • [ – ] theoldsparrow reply That is one way the dominoes could fall. The difference between people and dominoes is the unnatural way for humans to adapt for the better whether that means resisting negative change or innovating around obstacles. Are we perfectly capable? No. But it takes an infinite number of monkeys writing on an infinite number of typewriters to equal a work of Shakespeare whereas it took the work of one man to do the same.
    • iiMitor parent reply That is very true. One thing that has always fascinated me about humans is how capable and innovative we are when it comes to maneuvering our way through extremely difficult situations. I think that we get the most creative when we are put under extreme stress and have to figure out a way to get out of it, and that is pretty cool. I don't know if it is like some sort of defense mechanism or if it is just pure determination, but it's amazing what some people can do in high pressure environments. That is why I think that even if everything falls apart and spirals down, we will be eventually reset ourselves because that is how adaptive we are. We will manage to find another way to start living our lives that will allow us to survive in the long run. Thanks for watching and thank you so so much for the tip, I really appreciate that. :)
  • [ – ] Huktoz reply about the solar flair thing we missed one by about a day (in orbit) in 2012 and only now in 2017 would things be getting back to pre 2012 conditions.
  • [ – ] Librebowski reply As long as its not a global block its not much of an issue. Egypt got on the internet just fine when they got shutdown thanks to good people in the world.
    • iiMitor parent reply Egypt got disconnected before? I'd heard it had happened to a whole country, but I didn't think it was Egypt... Wow.
  • [ – ] AbbasAmir reply I got a headace after reading video title! 😂😂
  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply Wow, that was intense. You had me imagining the end of the world while my music was playing in the background. Ironic in a way I won't mention. "Butt - It only gets worse." [sprays mouthful of water over keyboard] Cracks me up. Anyway, yes, you are right. Loss of electricity or internet would set our society back a bit, I think, especially as regard to instant global interaction. However, we might spend more time outside or physically interacting with others. Pluses and minuses. Lots to think about. Good job!
    • [ – ] iiMitor parent reply lol... Thank you. I thought your music added some extra spice to the scenario. But yea, I feel like it would be a rather surreal experience to suddenly lose the biggest innovation in recent history, it really is amazing how much we've come to depend on it... But I guess it is what it is... Thanks for providing the music, and thanks so much for the support. Appreciate it :)
  • [ – ] deathsite1902 reply Then I would become a warlord...
  • [ – ] maxwaxhax reply There would have to be a major nuclear war for the internet to go away, it would probably be apocalyptic from the start ahaha
    • iiMitor parent reply probably, I'd think that is the most likely thing to cause a complete internet shutdown as a nuclear war might knock out all the electronics.
  • maxwaxhax reply Never mind ahaha!
