This is a video where my old Apple iBook Clamshell Blueberry with a 300 MHz G3 processor runs MintPPC 11 which is a Linux distro for PowerMacs based on Debian. It was shot in low light on an old Sanyo compact camera with a max resolution of 640 x 480 in 2014, so the quality is not that great, but the point is that even on hardware from the previous millennium, Linux is a viable option years and years after Apple has stopped supporting the hardware. The newest version of Mac OS this machine runs is officially Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther", but with a hacked install, it is possible to get 10.4.11 "Tiger" to run. At the time of this recording, the iBook triple booted Mac OS 9.2.2, Mac OS X 10.4.11 and MintPPC 11. Only MintPPC 11 had up to date software and security updates, making it safe to use online.
