  • SaltyShellback reply I agree! For the most part, it is the quality of the upper components that would make the difference between a good shooting long lasting gun and a less durable AR. There are polymer lower ARs that shoot just as well and last just as long for the average sport shooter. You can polymer lowers for about $40 at some places and aluminum lowers usually go for around $50-$80. I got an Anderson lower for $60 and an Aero Precision upper for about $300 with BCG! Add $50 for the LPK and I got a functional AR for $410!
