  • [ – ] The_Average_Kid reply I'm hoping that vidme continues to support free speech, especially when politics are concerned. I don't want another YouTube witchhunt.
  • [ – ] HotWithoutABuzz reply YouTube turning into TrashTube now
  • [ – ] Politics_N_Games reply YouTube isn't about the money. They have a greater agenda.
  • [ – ] ChronosChris reply Vid.Me and Minds.com. We need to make more people aware of these sites.
  • [ – ] Focus_Gaming reply Came here after watching your video yesterday. Thanks for letting me know about Vidme man I'm loving it here!
  • [ – ] SamEarl13 reply Its crazy just what YouTube is doing lately, at some point I stopped watching TV because of the ads and just how politically correct nearly everything was trying to be and it almost feels like they're trying to drag it onto the internet so it doesn't lose relevance as more people cut off cable subscriptions. Also Minds looks interesting, I might actually check it out later.
  • [ – ] DarkQuark reply This is just a way to turn over YouTube to the old media. YouTube will be no different than a cable box. They want creators gone. They make more money being a gatekeeper for the media than a bridge to it.
  • ModernCaveman reply As a small channel vid.me has been great and I consider vid.me my main site and YT my secondary.
  • [ – ] greatdisc0ni reply My only problem with minds.com is that it's getting a really high concentration of conspiracy theorists. It seems like, for every one 'Science is Cool' poster, there are two moon landing deniers, a chemtrail specialist, a rothschild family detractor, and four flat-earthers. And the UFO and Illuminati folks are just starting to arrive.
  • [ – ] top10archives reply It's becoming a bloody mess. Can't profit off of controversial topics, but those are the ones people tend to gravitate towards.
    • [ – ] wolfalexzemla parent reply be interesting to see how that plays out
      • [ – ] top10archives parent reply Hoping at some point they see that they're biggest creators are going to jump ship, but fear that they've secured their own big talent to fix any losses they may feel.
        • wolfalexzemla parent reply in the end they will just have tv 2.0 which people can watch on cable /sat OR internet. Two platforms with no one watching, be hard to support even with their money
    • wolfalexzemla parent reply depends on the controversy as to the exposure msm wants to give it. a kardasian butt gets bigger now thats a huge story. white genocide not so much
  • [ – ] MuscleProfessor reply I don't get how youtube wouldn't stand by their creators, thank god we have vid me.
  • DGTLONE reply Great informative video bro I just joined the site and feels pretty friendly. Hope YouTube straightens all this out but it's not looking good. Peace DGTLONE
  • [ – ] THEREDCAP reply Hey dave. Long time fan, just signed up for vid.me, but i'm still using youtube because my favorite content creators are uploading there and there only. Once everyone migrates here, I'll use it more often. For now, ill use it exclusively for this "channel" (account)
    • [ – ] THEREDCAP parent reply Also, adapting to the new layout (not being able to browse & watch at the same time, not being able to edit comments, etc.) Is gonna be a pain in the dick...
      • Tycen parent reply Its new im sure theyll keep updating the site with improvements, check out my vids if u want to watch some on this site!
    • Soulofall parent reply Updates will come and things like editing comments will be added. Just a month ago there wasn't a reply button. So check the site out every once in a while and watch a few videos on it to support it.
  • JaitheRai reply The problem was that YT did NOT stand by their creators, and while instead of ignoring the WSJ they lobbied to them. This created a snowball effect giving us what we have now on YT. YT is becoming worse and worse. I hope they are able to fix this, but I doubt it.
  • [ – ] Aiya reply Join me in the hot train! :P Great video dude. it's crazy that there are people who believe that the holocaust didn't happen. It's great that you have good words for Vidme. However can someone explain me the difference between Minds.com and gab.ai? which is better to start using?
  • RandomRyan reply I get that it's difficult to manage a huge website such as YouTube, but if it wanted to make its platform better, why not weed out those problematic drama channels that are the reasons why advertisers boycott it in the first place? They may not be the sole reason why the boycott is taking place (in fact, I KNOW there's other things I'm not aware of that caused this boycott), but from my experience, they're definitely one of the biggest reasons why.
  • [ – ] TheCastle reply Vid.me NEEDS better support for Steemit.
    • nodetact parent reply Like... I just don't even get the Reddit integrated button inside of videos. It's like Steemit isn't considered the forum website/alternative social media to them. Oh well then.
  • [ – ] JokerJawz reply I hope Youtube does go down the toilet in the next few years, it will teach them a harsh lesson.
  • wolfalexzemla reply It wont be very long before vidme and minds is bought out by oogle and eric schit.
  • Evil_Laughter01 reply Yup one of the reasons I'm startet getting here, just to be sure there's a places my subscribers can go to, if YouTube do not like me anymore. But I would say I'm not so worried that they will..... For now, since my content is really guides, reviews of a single game. But better get my butt in gear and make a video here to say hello xD Like the community here, I see a lot of different users I would NEVER find on YouTube recommendations. I'll gladly support the new platforms that are coming, that also gives users different ways of supporting there favorit creators.
  • Barraguesh reply Btw, Russia is very active in today elections, and yeah, I believe they wanted, and hacked (actually cracked is the right term) the emails to interfere with the USA election and now, they are doing stuff also with France...
  • [ – ] Barraguesh reply I use Bing, because I am into Microsoft ecosystem, but damn, Google is like doing bad a great stuff together... Still, I am not saying Microsoft is better, I prefer it, just, Google is random nowadays....
    • [ – ] Politics_N_Games parent reply I think even bad corporations such as Microsoft should be praised when they get it right.
      • nodetact parent reply Even if w10m DOES die out by next week (build 2017, no?) I would still find SOME kind of solace in knowing that they could be just as redeemable, if not more, than their Apple and Google counterparts. But that's where the Facebook vs minds, twitter vs gab, Reddit vs steemit and YouTube vs vidme kicks into overdrive, making it so that people as outcast as even me as far as mobile tech and online engagement are concerned it never seems that life is without its beauty. I wonder if my freaking other products and services will be like this someday...? Ready or not, I'm never gonna be bored! Wait wut *~*
  • JackDinn reply Na startpage.com FTW
  • jack550 reply YouTube has dug it's own grave,.
  • nexxtmediaguide reply Youtube doesn't hire dumb people...., they only want kid friendly content now. They are not gonna annouce it to the world, that would be dumb and loose everyone. They are doing what apple did when they abandoned their FCP users.....,
  • madel_schmadel reply YouTube didn't panic; Google and establishment media agreed together in smoke-filled rooms to shut down anti-establishment media. They created a faux incident as their excuse to start tearing down independent media. Just how absurd their restrictions compared to actual TV shows you this isn't about propriety; it's about an agenda.
  • JenniferBeautiful reply I just started a new makeup channel on youtube. Thanks to this vid I decided to put those videos here. Right off the bat my video has gotten more views on here than it did on youtube. So that works for me. I have another vid.me channel I started but haven't posted on. I will have to start posting on that one too. Basically have one channel for health and beauty vids and one for politics and more controversial type stuff.
  • Beardbarian reply Lovin' the delicious transition. Thanks for continuing to encourage the change and spread awareness.
  • nexxtmediaguide reply I don't think youtube's changes in policy is a issue of free speech. As always its about money. All of the new distribution pltforms are ordering themselves just like the networks did in days gone by. Youtube is for kids content Netflix is for young adults and a bit older Amazon Prime is for older adults and oscar winning movies Disney is probably gonna have their on netflix-like service in a few years. HBO/Showtime will also go the same way I think. so instead of 5 main networks and a buch of regional nets and cable we will have netflix-like services that will operate just like the old nets but wih non-linerr progrmming;.
  • [ – ] DylanG reply I remember joining YouTube and Google years ago, but they have been so infuriating, I almost can't wait for them to fall. Vidme and Bing all the way
    • [ – ] nodetact parent reply I kind of have to prefer Bing because it's fueling my underrated w10m diehard fandom from within. But then again I have a bad feeling that alternative social media points fingers at even Microsoft, which is bad because we already have Daniel Rubino and Zac Bowden to do the LEAST of that for Windows! :c
      • DylanG parent reply Lol I'm an MS "fanboy" myself. Got myself aa Lumia 640 running W10M Redstone 3 Insider Preview. Too bad MS is killing Mobile
    • denden1088 parent reply Duck duck go is better, it has no tracking. Unlike Google 😏😏
  • [ – ] VonHelton reply The gods have willed that YouTube be destroyed. You Tube allowed a bunch of people to terrorized me & my family for 10 years. Obviously, this is unacceptable. Write it down, YouTube will be no more.
  • AnimeReviews reply Nobody cared about "Fake news" until Trump won.
  • wolfalexzemla reply soon mika joe will be telling us what to think on the internet
  • connor1805 reply Remember youtube
  • toobituser reply Boy this vidme app really suck. Could it be my tablet?
  • AtomicDog602 reply I thought YouTube would get their act together, but I am starting to think its future is all downhill.
  • 1776orBust reply My gun channel and others like mine have suffered greatly however I'll stay positive. I just wish vidme would have more forums for the hun community. I think I might be the first who's come over
  • blazedu reply remember, the common white man is free to do whatever you want. Criticize them, lie about them, anything. They won't patrol that.
  • blazedu reply independent journalism? but what if we want to do something the public will never approve of?
  • cannotaccess reply Minds looks like to me needs the good people from Twitter to use it, Not the trolls that they letting off.
  • toobituser reply jus joined, it says to say something nice. nothing comes to mind. whats the app like. i'm using a tablet right now and the website is kinda hard to use.
  • Sharpwing reply Multiplatformed is without a shadow of a doubt, the way to go. No one can control you if you are adaptive, resilient, ever growing and practically infinite.
  • ChronosChris reply Signed up. :)
  • NoobMister reply If there was ever a reason to get ready to jump ship, this video just gave me one
  • ZoomGaming reply First time seeing this channel, i love it! Great video!!!
  • FrancisGo reply My comments on YouTube have been completely turned invisible, while extremely inflammatory comments rise to the surface on comment threads. Kind of reminds me of what happened with the Ghost-buster trailer. I'm not even a hardcore fan of THIS channel, but I'm sort of being relegated into this position.
  • LuigiDude16 reply I use DuckDuckGo instead of Google and you should too.
  • Voxgizer reply I moved over here from YouTube because of, well, pretty much everything stated in the video. I enjoy making videos, I put a lot of time into learning how to best use my editing software, and I enjoy entertaining people with said videos. I'd rather do all of that here, instead of the knee-jerk-pearl-clutching atmosphere that's lingering over YouTube right now. Yes, it's transitory, and I'll still upload over there but I think VidMe is my new home for video making.
  • [ – ] ITSnippets reply Brilliant video, as a new YouTuber making nothing anyway, I've not been hit by the ad boycott but it is clear a line has been drawn and the old guard is good and anyone else is bad....
    • [ – ] Voxgizer parent reply Yep, same exact boat here. New start up staring down a brick wall of "Well, if they don't like me, I'm screwed, eh?"
      • [ – ] ITSnippets parent reply Personally I did this to learn something new (Video editing), so It's not a major loss to me, I have a day job and have no intentions of leaving it.
        • [ – ] Voxgizer parent reply Best of luck in learning to edit! I hear ya, though. It's a great hobby, and great job if you can get that to happen, but yea, day jobs are still essential!
  • Heatherstarr reply There is no 'you' in 'youtube' this place is way better 🙌🏻🎉
  • MadJim reply Hi Dave, just created an account here because of your recommendation of VIDME. Youtube has become a pathetic mess.
  • AaronMcHale reply Great video, part of the reason I started diversifying my content, now on 4 different platforms natively, including here on Vidme, YouTube and Facebook. With any business for it to survive you need multiple revenue streams, and in the case of independent content creators like ourselves, you need to be on a variety of platforms to survive.
  • Gondor reply Everyone watches youtube because it was the freedom of the internet and you could post what ever you want. Now they just censor everyone so time to go to vidme.
  • markirons67 reply Excellent video! Thank you so much for a great analysis. I too anticipate vidme will continue to support FREE SPEECH with regard to political views.
  • RowlWool reply Awesome video. I hope YouTube gets better. I hope vid.me finds success to put YouTube in check.
  • Dos_Gaming reply It is a shame... good thing I started vidme 8 months ago and never even attempted youtube :P
  • TheHentaiMan reply R.I.P YouTube
  • sgtbrutalisk reply Great video! Listened with great enjoyment (gee, I sound like a bot) and followed.
  • Suprememe reply Rest cheesy, Youtube.
  • tonygreene113 reply Good riddance to all of them.
  • ArbiterAbaddon reply Use DuckDuckGo. Fuck Google.
  • towbar1965 reply But Google is profitable
  • Glassic_Gamer reply This is what happens when SJW run things at big companies. They are Beta's not Alpha's and cave at the first of a tiny conflict.
  • OmegasMovie reply Amazing video!, I didn't even know mines was a thing but thank you so much for mentioned it 😁
  • gridsleep reply Not so much theory as hypothesis, but still valid.
  • gridsleep reply This is why you should search only using DuckDuckGo.
  • OWNtheNWO reply I don't think they realize that if they run out all the indy content creators, the eyes are going to leave with them, because they give as much a fuck about the MSM and cable crap on the TV as they do on youtube. All this is is Google self-immolating youtube and eventually itself.
  • Bush_Army reply This is not fair to the youtube video creators ....
  • [ – ] Brettkeanevideo reply I love to watch youtube burn.
  • SYMPLMedia reply YouTube is making the same mistake Vine made, they are neglecting their creators. YouTube is no longer 'YOU'tube sadly
  • MeatForThought reply Dave, thanks to you I'm on Vid.me now!
  • Commando_Circuit_Centre reply Good video. I'm going to start using VIDME more often from now on.
  • [ – ] VonHelton reply It couldn't **POSSIBLY** be that the Young Turks are *MUSLIM*? Could THAT be why TYT is unaffected? Could that be why my vids are taken down, because I'm vehemently Anti-Islamic? (The answer yer looking for is YES!)
  • LitLinuxUser reply I'm glad at least one of the YouTubers I heavily watch has adopted Vidme!
  • mynx-v-marie reply I'm fairly sure as YouTube really wanted to just clean house. Clean up what they feel is bad. Really interesting to see all the YouTubers who are benefiting from this "ijustine". It's really interesting how silent these creators have been whilst some of their old friends channels are dying. 🤔
  • DeathTheGrimComedian reply You're the man, Dave!
  • JakeTheFakeReal reply Made a vid.me account just to sub to Dave. Keep fighting the good fight!
  • iAmEnglishTV reply if you have lots of money with no real army, you can't combat the old guard who has an army. This is what we have seen with youtube. When you don't have "backup" money to back your action, then your as good as a one hit wonder. Youtube has so many many more creators that will take the seat of pewdipie that they aren't worried.
  • iAmEnglishTV reply Its leading to what we see now, they got scared and creators suffer!
  • JackGreen reply great idea!!! jusst made my vid.me account. so much potential here. thanks for the suggestion
  • PimpMasterBroda reply As stated in these comments, this is an attack of the old media on independent creators. Advertisers taking part in the Youtube boycott need to be emailed and threatened with boycotts. Even if you don't follow through with it, the fear of losing the almighty dollar will be enough for them to think twice.
  • ralphgamez reply Lack, you're doing pretty good
  • [ – ] AllITalkIsTech reply IM A YOUTUBE AS WELL ITS ALSO KILLING VIEWS. Im moving over to Vidme now cuz youtube has screwed me over at the moment
  • [ – ] Merc07 reply This was very informative
  • MickiDaWop reply I'll have to go check Minds out again, I found it a bit confusing. I like watching Vid.me for now. Good content, thanks
  • Insidio reply AI Go Rogue 👹👹👹👹
  • [ – ] SharkPlaysGames reply YouTube is transparent. You can see right through then and straight to their bullshit.
  • TacticCrush reply TYT is part of their politico campaigns they are basically underwritten by youtube.
  • jsullivan reply Dave is my new favorite vlogger/social commentator. Finger on the pulse with relevant recommendations for maintaining free speech.
  • freerangehobo reply You removed any doubt about leaving YouTube. Vidme format is. Great!
  • MarketStrategies reply The youtube fiasco is why when I started recently I only promote my vidme page. The community is better, and anytime theres a problem I hit them on twitter they respond right away and fix the issue ASAP
  • MickiDaWop reply I predict a major exodus from YouTube if they don't get this squared away soon, both content creators and viewers.
  • ShadowzBrah reply Youtube has completely dropped the ball. Glad i moved to vidme.
  • SpamAHOY reply dang this youtube event is going crazayyy, good thing I found out vid.me haha
  • OceaniaTimes reply Satire. In 1997 Washington Post author said Starship Troopers is Nazi propaganda. Go figure.
  • deadpoinsettia reply U brought me here....and to minds.com. Thanks man!
  • Anti-ReptoidRadio reply They totally screwed over our YouTube page....
  • GoMGTOW reply Anything on the Right is considered fake news on YT... Google is owned and run by the Left, so it's no surprise they kow tow to the Young Turds. The war has spilled over into social media folks and they have specifically targeted Anti-Gynocentric, Anti-Feminist, MGTOW, MRA, and Alt-Right media outlets in favor for Disney media and The Young Turds. <--- This is what Liberals do to manipulate and control you to entrap you within the Leftist Matrix.
  • [ – ] SaggyBones reply Who is the biggest vidme creator?
  • BlunderingFool reply Small, up-and-coming channel? Sounds like me, but with less progress. Got to say Vid.me has been a really good place to make videos on though, they seem to be getting viewed slightly more than they did on youtube. Which is good since I can start getting feedback eventually!
  • Rorycar98 reply Very good video
  • SpeedyGaming reply This sounds really Orwellian in nature if you ask me. Corporations can be in favor of dictatorships and encourage propaganda so I can see why they have been acting like this even during Obamas administration.
  • Robert_Gloversville1 reply I love Vidme . I wish this existed years ago. My God has my creativity never been better! On Youtube you would walk on egg shells. EVEN a few moments of a copyrighted song or clip could make you not just lose your ability make money but even get a strike!
  • Agentflash18462 reply I was gonna make a youtube channel but I am glad I made it on here instead
  • SC87Returns reply I glad I have left YouTube in December 2016 and now only post on Minds and Vidme.
  • DerpyHerpyMerpy reply hopefully vidme is better! if the vidme team can make the right decisions, it can become huge! maybe everyone will just transition to vidme, and youtube will come crashing down.
  • YourAnMoron reply Very interesting. Thanks, brutha.
  • enigmaproductions reply And YouTube going full corporate came to me as a surprise
  • enigmaproductions reply One more thing I didn't think YouTube was gonna go full corporate and allow the old dinosaur media to take over...it's a shame
  • enigmaproductions reply Well I don't agree with what you have to say but I don't think YouTube or any corporation should silence anyone
  • Godhood reply I knew something like this was going to happen after the Democrats lost the election but I didn't think it was going to be so fast. Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Google want to censor voices that don't conform to their left-wing views. I'm hoping Vidme doesn't fall into that trap with advertisers in the future, at the end of the day they have to make money to but don't let advertisers dictate what you can and can't do on vidme.
  • MontesMoveris reply Amazing Video...I am speechless! I just found out about vid.me and i already like it. Especially when you said about Artists <3 This is a serious place and I will watch it's carrier with great interest.
  • SacredBeast reply I'm slowly easing out of YouTube and into alternative media, such as Minds.com and Vidme. As wonderful as they are, I don't want them to become just the next Facebook, Twitter or YouTube, I want them to become one out of many. Without competition, you end up with a monopoly, and then corruption.
  • dishgoldfish reply Once a Jewtuber, Always a Jewtuber.
  • RAGEfit reply It's all about fucking money with everyone. Sickening.
  • akatheSkay reply I feel it's important more people hear this https://soundcloud.com/totalbiscuit/h3h3-productions-and-the-state-of-youtube-advertising
  • Barraguesh reply I liked your videos, but then I saw your bullshit videos about trump, yeah, some are facts, I am with you in some, but the amount of bullshit in some "points" is fucking huge... Dont get me wrong, I can talk and hear people with other political views, but I cant take bullshit, sorry. Nice to met you in this vid, but, bye.
  • ThatMagnetMan reply I think it's nice, people waking up that is..
  • zigadox reply How long until Vidme gets so big that it caves in, though?
  • COSMotions reply It's actually kind of sad. Just being with Youtube for so long then all of a sudden they do this. The only TV I watch is online, with no ads.
  • Onno_Vocks reply YouTube still has some things going for it like 4K video. It makes a difference even if your monitor is only capable of 1080p. On the other hand, YT shutting down a creator based just on someone's unproven say so, makes me wonder if they actually care.
  • Facepalm_Migraine reply Thanks for the info, CF. Joined because of your video
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply Well I honestly say that I am glad that I left youtube at new years eve 2016 because I knew more Corporate Bullshit on that pathetic platform is about to get even more worse and I just knew sooner and or later youtube have shown their true colours and siding with the mainstream medias.
  • Broomfondle reply I think you've hit the nail on the head there Dave, it would explain their destain for content creators & explain the frankly weird decision to start hosting tv programs, youtube is many things, but not not a tv broadcaster, there are lots of those out there already, so why do it? Unless as you say they are trying to make it more sale-able. I quite like Minds but bloody hell its a bastard to navigate
  • vanners reply I've dropped Google as my search engine. I still support alternative media on YouTube until they move to vid.me
  • IFDF_Admiral_Y-11 reply Hopefully, we can learn from YouTube's mistakes. If Vid.me reaches YouTube's level of popularity, I hope the developers look back at this disaster and react in a way that will diffuse the situation WITHOUT causing collateral damage.
  • MoltoyGaming reply Good video sir
  • wolfalexzemla reply msm vs alternate media. msm -billions and stale 40 plus years pushing radical form of gov using radical liberal/muslim/marxism with low quality redundant content leaving you ill informed. Alternate media -minimal resources by many interesting newcomers to pick according to your preferences producing interesting mix of ideas and very high quality content giving all the important news of our time. And google wants me to watch what? Will msm go the way of the typewriter and video cassette. Google can push the typewriter all they want i'm not using it.
  • JaredAycock reply Youtube is a cringefest if u are on there you really shouldnt its just a waste of time and full of morons. i was a content creator for over 4 years there it nearly drove me insane.
  • Grizz01 reply It's not about the money. They now have plenty. It is about the controlling of the minds of the people. Especially the young.
  • [ – ] GoodKhaos reply I also use duckduckgo! Also thanks for informing me about Minds!
  • Irreligionist reply looks like i might be posting vids here from now on. YT...i thot we wuz friendz :(
  • WeeFlight reply "jumped the gun" uhhh I'm triggered
  • WeeFlight reply "jumped the gun" uhhh I'm triggered
  • SpoilerAlert reply I hope this platform will work well for those of that were hoping to become YouTubers but ended up struggling during this crisis.
  • ukkr2 reply +ComputingForever A couple years ago channels like Evalion got a lot of traffic. And they DID deny the holocaust. Still, SO WHAT? We have trouble enough with news about what happened TODAY, during our lifetime. Why worry so much about such things in the distant past. Google's algorithms ORIGINALLY were supposed to give prominence to sites deemed popular or topical. Some might have mistaken such logic for something google intentionally did.
  • ukkr2 reply You can say what you want about Steven Crowder, but he seems fair, honest, and clean, and he is funny also. If the left wanted to shut him up, and get him to stop making sport of them, they could simply be fair, honest, and clean themselves. But steven seems fair and honest, and will attack a person on his side if deserved, It is just that it is so much easier to attack the left. Well, this world is just NUTS.
  • HG_Wells reply Joined up with Minds and VidMe because of YouTube nonsense. Idiot advertisers and YouTube are just accelerating us into the future. Great summary video, the subscribers will follow the creators.
  • FindingWonderment reply A shame. Google could do so much more for the people, but are siding to the dollar. I've been trying to cut down on YouTube and Google because I've been disagrreing with the way they handle themselves. Censorship and lack of interest in the people who made them who they are today is dishonourable. This is an important step in reminding people they must rely on themselves before others when marketing their content!
  • Carltonland reply I hope that vidme continues to bring creators to freedom. Vidme will continue to reign.
  • iCrazyJelly reply Check out my channel
  • TheChambersofMyHeart reply Blecth! YouTube is endorsing The Young Turks?! Just no!
  • TheChambersofMyHeart reply Nice avatar. Youtube dug it's own grave at this point.
  • AxxL_Afriku reply i hope that vidme gets much bigger so that i am the biggest star on a big site rather than the biggest star on a small site
  • VideoGameHero95 reply I feel that vidme is really taking the steps to dethrone YouTube. With the current adpocolypse there, creators are coming here where they have true freedom of speech. Yes, it has a few kinks but it's getting there.
  • Bennysum reply YoutuBE RuLEs Daaaa WUrLD
  • ScaryStoriesNYC reply You're making too much sense here, I agree with you. I think that when the people who run corporations and the CIA saw their candidate lose an election for the first time ever, they decided to crush independent news. The first step was the fame hysteria over "fake news." That found no traction because nobody believes anything newspapers or TV news says any more, we ONLY trust independent journalists now. So next theyconcocted this plan to de- monetize independent news. While planning this, they decided to just try to take back the ENTIRE media monopoly they used to have in the 20th century and remove the possibility that one person could single-handedly become an important media voice. They only want their employees to have a voice in the media so that only their opinion is discused. I hope I'm wrong and that this is just a temporary situation, because if I'm right then this is a permanent situation.
  • gamdg reply Great! Thanx
  • JRCSalter reply Exactly what I've been saying for a while now. I tallied up all the sites I'm active on the other day and it ended up being quite a few with more to come. I am primarily an author, so most of my channels are for ebooks, and most of them like you to publish to them exclusively. But I refuse to do so for two main reasons. As a consumer of content I dislike exclusivity on principle. It prevents me from accessing content if I am not on a certain site, or subscribed to a certain thing. But also, I know it can take a while to build a following, and if you only build that following on one site, and that site fails for whatever reason, you may have to start again. So I've got three (soon to be four) outlets for my books, two outlets for videos, three outlets for social media (and I'm looking into Minds as well), not to mention my website and a Patreon account that I plan to launch at some point. I wanted to try 'everything' but that became too much work, so I kinda ditched some other sites tha...moret weren't working for me, and have now stuck to the ones I find the best. Or most wide reaching, which unfortunately, tends to be Amazon, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • SylvesterSan reply And this guy Xycron tries to explain how Youtube is still the best website to upload videos on. And people are buying into it, he got like 500+ thumbs ups on his video.
  • Barbanera reply @ComputingForever thanks for bringing me here!
  • Original-Artworkks reply The fake news IS GOOGLE AND MSM. They want you to bow down to whatever they say or you are 'offensive'. Independent thought is what is classified as unacceptable. Freedom is not acceptable to them. At no point will I become subject to their whimsy. It is a matter of servitude or rather YouTube, Google, and msm want you as little slave puppets. Do as you are told and do not disagree or you are demonetized.
  • Luciful_Mephisto reply These damn communistic fu**s. Americas founders, the founders of our constitution, are rolling in their graves.
  • perduta reply I Already left Facebook and G+. I discontinued using Youtube comments... I think I'm gunna like Vid.me a lot 😘 (BTW: I also set DuckDuckGo as my default search! 😉)
  • valereth reply I have uloaded my content to DailyMotion a lot, and I do not know why I bother. Nothing I ever post there gets seen by anyone.
  • Mister_Librero_Random reply This video have such great points, i always try to expand my content, sadly my spanish videos are not as popular as the english ones hehe
  • TheACP333 reply The minute you claimed deniers CONSPIRACY THEORIST was the moment I said GOOD BYE DICKHEAD
  • LaNovedadAM reply vid.me it will continue to support free speech, with the donations system, the creator can live with that money that you gave to them.
  • enduranceswimmer reply I've also joined Vidme recently. A number of mainstream social media sites are making some poor decisions recently. Whilst my content is not political in nature (yet) I totally support freedom of speech and think those of us that do would benefit from supporting sites that support us not those that try to shut down the conversation.
  • TripodKat reply Just signed up for vidme, loving it so far!
  • blazedu reply That's so easy. an adsense account is linked to a bank account. So simple to target and send the report to the police.
  • DuelSportSuperstar reply I'd love to see a video on some tips on how to diversify. I haven't been able to build a fan base for the past 5 years on YouTube or anything else I've tried. I currently have 3 channels on YouTube and Vidme, a personal website with my content and I keep up to date on social media with Twitter, Facebook and Google+. I still cannot figure out how to even get a vision in my head that what I am doing is leading to anything successful. :/
  • TokyoPatrick reply Well spoken. Very informative and and great delivery. Thanks for the video.
  • TheEspressoCat reply You do make brilljant videos - Forever..
  • hayhoestudios reply THE DEATH OF YOUTUBE IS NIGH. LONG LIVE VIDME!!!!!!!
  • jrswab reply Great recap man! Love it <3
  • MyBritishExpression reply You Tube class anything religious as hate speech.
  • GreyMovies reply You made a lot of very interesting points and observations that I never even realized. Crazy time for YouTubers, but thank God for Vidme lol. Very interesting video!
  • DanielHuntington reply Thank you for influencing me to create an account on this site. It's really cool from what I've experienced so far. :)
  • KaiserTrigger reply Youtube is so full of shit, that content creator is basically a race, and Youtube and Google are the SS trying to destroy them. Instead of fire pits, it's deleting their livelihood.
  • Sounder reply Well said!
  • odfjoadfojndfnjo reply Best video on the YouTube ad controversy, thank you.
  • Stormer1092 reply I hope my 5 years on youtube isnt wasted.
  • SilentAssassin reply Youtube has been circling the drain for awhile, this was the final nail in the coffin
  • Svenstryks reply There's too many restrictions and requirements on Youtube now, thousands of channels are getting demonitized, I'm gradually shifting to VidMe and uploading on this platform.
  • Bav_ reply Interesting watch, food for thought!
  • Vexode reply Continuing to love your content, man. Upvoted.
  • ijawara0 reply 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾I always love hearing perspectives on the matter good input
  • blackpigeon reply Very good video mate.
  • Jimthethird reply Free speech is best used liberally.
  • GameGir95877271 reply ComputingForever, no words are more truer than that.
  • AppleTechno reply I Agree of What You Said in the Video. YouTube is dead. RIP YouTube. This is why i like Vidme better.
  • LadyFuzztail reply I am pretty sure that Vidme, over time, will also go the way of YouTube once it becomes too big. If there is any takeaway lesson to be had here, its that it simply won't do to fall into platform loyalty because a good thing can always eventually turn bad.
  • JustLife reply Wonderful video man I agree 100% with you dude!
  • CATNAP reply The only thing stopping people from moving from one platform to another is the thin ice between them. Google's ads still top what other platforms give in terms of monetisation. Only until said platform will gain users, videos and content creators, will the ads come...
  • Kaiservadin reply What the fudge !
  • lozmastermm reply Yo dude, thanks for making this video, keep it up mate.
  • 007MrYang reply I really want vidme to become more popular!
  • [ – ] DownerIsland reply The only problem I see with Vidme is that yeah the creators are coming here maybe both big AND small channels, but that doesn't mean the audiences will follow or choose it over YouTube (Especially if they're upload to both platforms). This sites vision is definitely a plus for creators like myself, but when it comes to have a massive community like YouTube that's the ONLY thing I see Vidme lacking. I love the site so far and I see the potential, but I guess for things like the internet only time will tell lol
    • DownerIsland parent reply And Vidme? GET RID OF THE NOTIFICATION BELL! Should be built in to follows and subscriptions! No one's gonna click it >=\
  • [ – ] freet0pian reply Hmmm, this place has some better features than YT. Multilevel comments and tips. :O
    • CATNAP parent reply moving people from one platform to the other is the most difficult process though...
  • hidthailieschec1973 reply Get a nice girl for 1 night on this site --------- http://saotejabo.dumb1.com ---------
  • [ – ] Acumagnet reply Is Adroll the same thing as Adsense? Alex Jones from Infowars keeps talking about his Adroll screwing him over on Google.
  • Turki811 reply هلا والله.. بكرا نبلش بحقين اليوتيوب والمقالب هنا 😔
Download the Vidme app!
