  • freerangehobo reply As a young child I quickly understood the relationship of devotion and hypocrisy. It was painfully obvious to me. Hypocrisy hurt me deeply at a tender age. It demoralized my thinking and profoundly confused me. The bottom line was this: I made up my own rules, became self centered, cynical and wholly without hope. I also now realize that anger, and no other emotion ,drove my self destructive attitudes towards life more than that. What rescued me from certain depravity? The realization that there did exist genuinely sincere and true to their principles, people of which I was very curious. This realization alone got me on a straighter course, and has educated me in a far superior way than any of the run of the mill liberal institutions could ever accomplish
