    • [ – ] DH1717 parent reply P.S. CORBIN, OBAMA, BLAIR, AND WOODROW WILSON ARE CARD CARRYING MEMBERS OF THE "FABIAN SOCIALISTS SOCIETY" .. LOOK IT UP ,AND READ THEIR CHARTER MATE, YOU'LL BE HORRIFIED!!!
      • [ – ] CaptainSwitzerland parent reply Easy on the caps lol. Gimme some info on what you're trying to tell me and I might go check it out.
        • [ – ] DH1717 parent reply In 1884 a group of marxist social engineers (in England) set out to slowly change the worlds capitalist democracies into socialist utopias, etc.etc.etc...
          • [ – ] CaptainSwitzerland parent reply So the Fabian group was created by socialists in the late 1800s to promote socialism. Corbyns a socialist, or a democratic socialist at least - Blair on the other hand is a globalist centrist. The Labour party itself was founded by socialists, it's gradually moved away from that ideology over the last century, but it doesn't surprise me Corbyn and Blair were still members of it, it's a faction within labour similar to Progress or Momentum. No disrespect, but is there something I'm missing here?
            • [ – ] DH1717 parent reply First: I'm not sure what your views are about socialism, but those of us who see the results( every damn time) aren't ready to hand over liberty for a system that has spawned fascism,Nazism, communism, and has led to the death of over 120 million people in the 20TH century.. Second: The "Fabian society" charter is almost a play by play decleration of how to crush western civilization.. Third: The modern members(labour/progressive) not only lie, cheat, and swindle their way to power, but are following the radical marxist agenda to the letter, and READING the charter, as well as 20 minutes of google/research will show how dangerous this is now that the tools to implement it are well in hand.. But it is extremely difficult to convince people that the over used trope "it just wasn't done correctly" will be said EVERY TIME THAT SOCIALISM IS ATTEMPTED!!
              • [ – ] CaptainSwitzerland parent reply I'll be voting labour in the general election next month. However I wouldn't consider myself a socialist, nor would I want to see socialism implemented in the UK. I think you're quite right that full socialism, communism etc always tends to end badly, and requires a large dose of authoritarianism in order to keep it intact. It seems likely we come from different political backgrounds so your idea of what constitutes socialism may be different from mine. But in this country, which has had several labour prime ministers in the past century, we've never gone full socialist. We've had a mixed economy of private and state owned industry and a welfare programme. Since Thatcher in the 1980s the pendulum has swung towards the privatization of industry and cuts to public services. I'd like to see that move back a little. I've got no interest in seeing the red flag flying out of Number 10 Downing street, and the likes of Tony Blair were much closer to Thatchers model of economics than anything ...moreMarx had produced. I've been searching for this charter on google, The best I've found so far is this, Rules of the Fabian Society (2012) http://www.fabians.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Rules2012.pdf. I've been giving this a read, however it might not be covering exactly what you're speaking about. If you could point me in the right direction to find it, if you have a link, then I'm happy to discuss the charter.
                • [ – ] DH1717 parent reply The Fabian society... by word press.com (2012) ..... it lays out the societies beginning, and its end game etc. WARNING: you may have to struggle voting "labour" after finding out the way the party was created, and the way it interacted with the European parties in the early, and mid 1900'S...
                  • CaptainSwitzerland parent reply I'll say now though, however labour had it's origins. I'm voting based on the platform they're standing on today. The Democrats in the USA were the party of slavery once upon a time. I do think there's a tendency for transformation. All that said, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'll give it a look on wordpress and get back to you with my thoughts. Might be some point tomorrow though, 4am now I ought to sleep soon lol
