In the early/mid 1990's, fighting games were a dime a dozen, many of which drew inspiration from Street Fighter II. Others tried to forge their own path, which was met with varying degrees of success. As evidenced by the legacy that followed, this was a successful one. Let's take a look at Mortal Kombat for the Sega Genesis.
