Blog Post Covering The Course In Detail
Many of you guys have been asking me if I would coach you on Importing, Private Labeling, and Amazon Selling. Many of you have also asked if I could recommend a course.
If you watch my videos you know I'm a big fan of self education, just getting started and trying it yourself. I think that is the best way to learn and is superior to buying a course. That said I realize many of you want some guidance and want to cut down the learning curve.
I find many courses to be ridiculously priced, sometimes costing thousands of Dollars, upwards of 5 Grand even!!! Recently I was even contacted by a guy who said I want to start selling on Amazon, I need some help, but I have a small budget because I spent $2500 on a course and coaching. If this guy shelled out $2500 for a course why is he still comming to me for help, at that price he should know everything, unless the course sucked that is. Also, I'm not a fan of someone spending their bankroll on coaching as they then have no money for the most important part which is actually sourcing your product and advertising it!!!
I recently had a chance to try out The Import Dojo. Overall I'm impressed. The teacher and creator of the course is in my opinion well qualified, he seems to know his stuff. The production quality of the course is excellent, and he covers pretty much everything you need to know. I also like how the lessons are taught in the form of a case study of you actually seeing over his shoulder how he launches a French Press Coffee Maker on Amazon.
While I like the course, I feel it's more geared towards importing than it is Amazon so I would consider it to be an importing and private labeling course more so than an Amazon course, though it does give a lot of great info on AMazon. I feel a total beginner would want a little more info on the AMazon aspects though.
Really the only other weakness of the course IMHO is the community isn't as active as I would like to see. The creator Manuel makes himself available via Skype, he also offers importing services for those who want a more hands on approach, at an added cost of course, but the Facebook group and community could be a bit more robust IMHO.
Aside from that I would recommend the course, I feel what you get in terms of importing and private labeling info alone is worth the money so the Amazon aspect is just icing on the cake. Just go into this knowing the Amazon side of things isn't as big of a focus as the importing part.
Again, I can't stress this enough, my advice is to get started on your own and don't hire a coach or buy a course until you hit a point at which you can't move forward on your own any more, however if you are someone who needs a bit more guidance this is one of the better and one of the cheaper options available to you.
