  • [ – ] weiggie66 reply 1984 censorship is right around the corner. We will soon have to look over our shoulder and hide what we watch on TV and what we say or risk arrest or job loss like the CBS lawyer.
  • [ – ] weiggie66 reply I appreciate your English and thank you for making all of your videos. You are more talented than you think and should give yourself more credit.
    • sowhat-vidme parent reply Thank you for watching the videos. I like to talk English and I know that even native English speakers make fun of each other's accents. I will link a video by the Resistance Chicks. They are nice women who, in this video, make fun of English accents
  • [ – ] Inaflap reply Most politicians are clueless. Onion skinning (easy with a TOR browser) will grant you anonymity. It's slower, but you can watch videos that way. I imagine. Or for a fee you can have all your traffic tunnelled down a VPN. I'm sure those with something to hide will hide. If the video web hosting service is abroad, and you access it anonymously, through an encrypted tunnel, then they can't stop you watching. Goggletube might have hundreds of billions... and could detect a flag. Then again their AI flagging system seems to flag a lot of innocent content. From what I've seen... when it wasn't illegal of course... these videos were not on Goggletube. For now we still have a legal standard of evidence that is required for a criminal conviction. Guilt must be proven beyond all reasonable doubt. Say you live in a shared house... do they convict everyone who has access to the network/computer? What if you had kids and they viewed something the government prohibited.... would both...more the parents be jailed... or just the dad? Say you hacked your neighbour's network.... and didn't bother with TOR. The ISP would have the neighbour's details... their IP attached to packets of data for that video. Does the neighbour then serve 15 years in prison? I'm thinking lawn-mower man. What if it happens to that politician... will she serve 15 years?

      • sowhat-vidme parent reply I swear, it is entirely possible to take over a W-Lan connection. Google and other companies are acting against the law, same as the ISPs do, who gather data and violate the privacy of their clients. That is illegal, but they do not care, of course. They made billions of profits, like you rightfully said. Maybe somebody should tell these fuckers that doing the same crime millions of times is accumulative. People like Eric Schmidt or Mark Zuckerberg could theoretically face prison until the end of their lifetime. Or worse things.
    • [ – ] sowhat-vidme parent reply I cannot upload my videos anymore now, seriously. I do not know what is going on anymore. Maybe my computer has been infected. I use Tor to watch videos that are censored in my country, yes. I am angry now.
      • [ – ] Inaflap parent reply Yeah I know you use Tor. Maybe Vidme is having trouble with storage... you do upload a lot. I've noticed quite a lot of YT users are now posting on Vidme too... so storage will be gobbled up fast. Just have a break from it, and see if it works tomorrow. I don't think an infection would target your system that specifically.
        • sowhat-vidme parent reply You are correct, I think it is the server capacities. Lots of people are moving over to vidme now. I may not even like their videos' content very much, but I like it that many big German youtubers are here now. Most of them are still on both platforms, but that may change in the future.
  • [ – ] British_Patriot reply 1984 was a warning not a guide..politicians know nowt....
