I briefly share some thoughts about the shooting that occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 1st, 2017. I then discuss a similar event that occurred at the University of Texas in 1966 and conclude that more gun control is not the answer. Rather, an armed populace is the only thing that can deter gun violence.
