  • [ – ] duffy reply loved this! your channel is awesome.
  • JustHypeVibe reply Dragon ball All the way. 😆
  • ExcalibursZone reply I've seen the majority of what you've shown aside from Captain Tsubasa and the Ganbare Kickers. Yurusei Yatsura is about Ataru Moroboshi, a kid who has a dream, a dream of having a harem of beautiful women. It's not a love triangle at all, it's a story about a lecherous young man trying to get into every woman's pants. Just reading the synopsis doesn't do it justice at all. There are several movies and OVAs as well. Rumiko Takahasi is the creator, she did Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha, Ranma Ni Bun no Ichi, One Pound Gospel, Maris the Chojo, and several others. Watch all of these. You will not be disappointed. How did you come up with your list? A survey? Asking around? Or did you look at old anime and compile the list from synopses? My nostalgic anime? Gatchaman (Battle of the Planets), Robotech, Space Battleship Yamoto (Starblazers), Shogun Warriors/Force 5 (5 different anime rolled into a series from Mazinga Z, Spaceketters, and a few others), all the Rumiko Takahashi-related stuff (as ...morelisted above), Kimagure Orange Road, Bubblegum Crisis, and several others. There are so many shows that I've watched, I can't name them all... :) Nice video overall, disliked seeing the videos in reverse, I guess that's to try and confuse copyright bots?
  • Hoshi-Hana reply This was an amazing mix of animes I know, have seen pictures from or are completely new to me. There seem to be some interesting shows among them!
  • Ckrap reply I didn't watch a lot of Anime as a kid. But I warched Pokémon, Sailor Moon, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (Silverfang) and Kimagure Orange Road. Idk, I guess I didn't experience much haha
  • DouglasESL reply Wow thanks some of these I have never seen!!!
  • TheHentaiMan reply I remember watching Shin Chan and Heidi when I was kid. Shin Chan is also really popular in the Netherlands, but the ecchi stuff pissed off a lot of parents. Great video btw.
  • SidDoesStuff reply THANK YOU!! been looking for taiyou no ko esteban for AGES!! had NO clue what it was called!
  • NvanzGaming reply Fascinating list, I have only heard of a few of these anime myself. Thanks for sharing this, it's always great to learn about new things :)
  • basic_goku reply i watch gundam and Evangelion
  • USUandS reply Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Dragon Ball, Crayon Shin Chan and Gundam Wing were my favorite shows I'd love to watch after I came home from school, Hakusho probably being my first. I remember having the biggest crush on Botan, 100% no shame. Ninja Hattori Kun was one I actually wanted to watch but never got around to it, and I may take a peep at it after remembering it from this video. A lot of what I watched came from Toonami if I remember correctly. Sometimes I'd look up "Shows like ___" online to find some stuff, but a lot of it was just curated through watching Adult Swim. This was an awesome blast from the past honestly haha
  • SamEarl13 reply Great to see a list that has some truly older anime, quite a lot of them I have never even heard of before.
  • Jmusic-singerandsongwriter reply i need to re-watch this on my free time..will love to watch some new un-heard of anime
  • [ – ] DiCello reply Has anyone seen an anime movie (not a show) (I know it was famous because I rented it at a major chain DVD rental) , that has a scene where a bunch of people are on motorcycles , and there also is a (supernatural) character that shows up in a tree on the side of the road when the motorcycle group stops for a while; this guy has a huge red cape / or jacket that was flowing all over the place and dark-red... I believe his name (in English) was something like "Red Cloud" or Red "Sky? or something like that" ... in that scene I remember some cool piano music showing up , I remember this scene kept flipping back and forth between another important character in another area / and this scene with the motorcycle people and "Red Cloud ? " and someone on a motorcycle coming up fast ... and this built to an important action scene ... I looked all over the internet and some "anime character database" and found nothing ...
    • [ – ] BobSamurai parent reply are you talking about AKIRA?
      • DiCello parent reply Thanks for writing back / , I watched all of AKIRA just to be sure since i was told , that was most famous Anime movie with motorcycles / .it wasn't it , but the motorcycle scenes were similar and I thought I would hit on the one I was looking for , but no go - it was either a similar time , or advertised in conjunction with or it was in the Cannon-Fodder/ magnetic rose / memories series / or just released around the same time , or it was a quick scene in one of those / though I don't know which one / I say that because either one of the other of those had a "preview on the DVD" for the other ... like cannon fodder/memories/ magentic rose , had a preview for this one / or vice-versa ... is there anything with that scene in Mag-Rose/ CannonFodder/Memories? I few more details / I believe it was a group with motorcycles and there was some sort of battle or big fight , just about to happen / If I remember right , it was on the side of a road at night / and this supernatural guy ...more shows up out of nowhere , (though he looked somewhat "normal" ) supposedly he was a powerful-spirit named "Red Cloud , or Red something "shows up out of the sky or something and has a huge flowing red cape like-thing on , face like a man / maybe longish / rock-star hair , this part , was a big part of the movie ... the thing that stuck out is how the scene quickly changed / so did the music , in a rough edit / like peaceful music for 3-5 seconds , then crazy heavy music , then mellow piano music , then crazy music , --- and the scene would change from the motorcycles guys , to another guy in a different area , --- sorry , I watch movies and hear sound/music , that's how I watch things ... hope I can find it again someday ...
  • Renegade1 reply Urusei Yatsura is hilarious. It reminds me a lot of Ranma 1/2. The girl, Lum, is not a demon, she's an alien.
