I want to comment on verse 53, because it is so dramatic. KJV Bible renders it this way: "Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law." he uses the word "horror". "Horror", really? Yes. Because we as believers know of the Judgment of God! People may forsake the law of God out of ignorance, or worse yet, they may know better, but choose to ignore it anyway. This reminds me of a verse in 2nd Corinthians: ..."Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men"... I talk to alot of Christians who sorta have the idea that it's kinda OK if unbelievers sin, because they don't know any better. Actually, it's not. I know we don't want to come off as self-righteous or judgmental to people, but the other side of that coin is that; we have a duty to speak God's word to unbelievers in love. It's not as difficult as Satan would make it seem. I ...morehave found that if you pray about it, God will give you just the right words to say in the right way at the right time. I guess the main thing we have to worry about is, that we're not guilty of the same sin (whatever it is) ourselves. Anyway, I could go on and on about Psalm 119. I love Psalm 119. If you ever get the chance to read it in KJV version, I would encourage you to do so. The language is much more dramatic. Take care, JohnnyAppleseed2
