  • [ – ] MrOneTwo reply There is something fascinating about building from stone. Just 2 days ago,I start making reservoir for rain water and seedbeds from big sandstones.
    • [ – ] MaitreMarkScully parent reply There is nothing I like to build with more than stone. I have so much on my property, one of the reasons I bought it. Sandstone is beautiful to work with, you are lucky.
      • [ – ] MrOneTwo parent reply I am. Those sandstones are 30kg blocks (and some other shapes) from ruins of really old wall. Maybe older than 100 years.
        • MaitreMarkScully parent reply Wow, I wish I had some big old blocks like that.
        • [ – ] MaitreMarkScully parent reply wow..... the closest thing to 100 years old around my place is George my neighbor. He is an old retired blacksmith from the rail yards, a real treasure to have about. But we do not have the building history of Europe.
          • MrOneTwo parent reply Well you just making them, right? On one of my trips through forgotten places I found something similar to your tower and from trees on top of it must be very old.
  • MarzieMalfoy reply I applaud you, good sir. You do build good walls. When do you plant the grapes?
