  • [ – ] MaitreMarkScully reply wow - you play the harp!! At 7!!! I just took my hat off to you ;)
    • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy parent reply Thank you!
      • [ – ] Star_Wars6collector parent reply I think NASA is hiding the real colours of Mars because it is 1/6 the earths oxygen levels and it is not a red planet like they digitally change, they tend to leave out the cloud coverage of most of there images, and you can tell when they photo shop the crap out of them,
      • [ – ] MaitreMarkScully parent reply I play bass and like to sing. I sang and played bass or drums in punk bands in my youth but now I do not listen to punk music anymore. Now that I am old and gray I like quiet peaceful music over loud raucous thrash. Tho, all music has it's time and place.
        • MarzieMalfoy parent reply I used to listen to all screamo type stuff because it relaxes me. Still does, really. But I enjoy soother tones to my rock now lol
    • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy parent reply I was just playing around with it and the piano at a field trip. I was sick and stayed behind while the rest of the class took a tour of Salem. My mom and one of the other mom chaperones stayed behind to watch us. The other mother asked mine how long I was taking lessons. She had to explain that we couldn't even afford lessons and I've never even seen a musical instrument before.
      • [ – ] MaitreMarkScully parent reply you must have a god given talent then ;)
        • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy parent reply I donno about that lol I just wish I could sing. I'm trying to teach myself but I just can't get it right.
          • [ – ] MaitreMarkScully parent reply I think voice is the easiest instrument to play, my cousin is an opera singer, she says 'listen inside your head - and move the sound to reverberate in the best place'. Once you get that concept it becomes easier. I also try to visualise the notes on a scale and some times use my hand to conduct myself- I can not read music for anything but voice because I know where the notes are in my voice but pointing out a note on a fret board defeats me.... humming scales is a good start point, and breath control by singing at a candle without blowing it out is another trick my cousin taught me.
            • MarzieMalfoy parent reply I love opera! That's a really good trick. I am going to keep trying, though. I have no desire to give up. And I can't read sheet music either. I used to when I was playing the oboe but now the dots and lines keep moving on me when I look at them lol
