Over 60,000 pets are buried at the Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park and Cemetery in Calabasas, California, a nonprofit run by the public since 1928. It’s a final resting place for every animal from lions to cats, horses to pigs, and even dogs who helped rescue victims of the September 11th attacks. Board member Ellen Newth, who has four pets buried there, explains why she sees the community pet cemetery as a place of love and remembrance, not just death or loss. Never miss an episode.
