  • [ – ] Fighting_Zenith reply Robert Altman's take on Popeye has aged quite well. I do admit to liking the second Guyver movie. As for Disney's remakes: it may be their properties, and they are competent, but most of them are kind of pointless.
    • Fighting_Zenith parent reply As a fan of the original Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, Popeye, Disney, Terrytoons, Van Beuren, Felix the Cat (both Sullivan/Messmer and Oriolo), UPA (before Bill Scott left), Jay Ward (To an extent), and Screen Gems (also to an extent), I can see those characters working in a modern context provided that the execution is good. I also think that Disney should re-release their old films with few enhancements. Finally, you should look into how good voice actors tend to get shafted when it comes to animated features. (They either end up in terrible straight-to-video films or get turned down do to no name recognition.)
