Hey guys, couple weeks back I made a video talking about how to make money using "Service Arbitrage" basically playing the middle man on service jobs like web design, graphic design, video editing, etc. If you missed the video you can watch it here...
Royce, had dropped a comment on the video recently and asked when contacting potential customers should you use template or form e-mails or more personal e-mails.
I thought that was a great question and wanted to address it so we address it in this video.
I know personally when I've reached out to CL looking to hire someone for jobs I immediately delete form e-mails because it shows me the person contacting me is just spamming Craigslist and didn't even really look at what I was trying to have done.
Someone who reaches out to me personally and shows me they understand my project, and maybe they even potentially offer some ideas or suggestions, I'm much more likely to hire that person. Sure it takes more time than sending a form e-mail, but youre going to have a MUCH higher conversion rate as well.
Lastly don't get discouraged if you send out a few emails and don't get hired for jobs, it's a numbers game. I would say if you get hired for every 10 people you reach out to your doing pretty good.
Lastly, I would recommend becomming somewhat fluent in the lingo and industry you plan on working in. Your not doing the work so you don't need to be an expert, but for example if your going to be providing logos for people at least have an understanding of different types of files, pnj vs jpg, what a vector file is, etc.
