In April 2017 we chased the BNSF track geometry train around northwest Washington. Starting out at Burlington, the train comes off of the Sumas Sub and heads south on the Bellingham Sub before reversing direction and crossing the Skagit River bridge. Next, it's a reverse movement down the Anacortes Spur and across the Swinomish Channel drawbridge and returning to South Mount Vernon, where the train meets regular freight activity.
