  • [ – ] AxxL_Afriku reply I want people to succeed in my yard aka Vidme
  • [ – ] ExcalibursZone reply I have some followers and are therefore successful in my eyes. I create the content I create in order to fulfill my happiness, because I enjoy it. Instead of being jealous of people who are trending or have more followers, use them as inspiration and learn what they do in their content to improve yours. Comment and upvote on videos that you watch and enjoy. Communicate with other creators that create content you enjoy. Learn how to network as ZenGamesTV suggests.
  • [ – ] Westley_Nash reply It's true, comparison is often the root of most misery. We each have success & failure. But whenever we look at others success we typically compare it to our failures & so we will always feel lacking. Count all of your victories no matter how small. I agree with you totally sir, celebrate yourself! It's the first step towards self love 😊 I think anyone who builds a channel with a focus on either money or popularity alone they will always struggle to find the energy to push through those times we aren't getting either. Passion for your medium is the power that lifts you, even when you don't see or feel any return. This is a fantastic video! 👍 Inspiration is a great way to help support ourselves & each other. My channel will never be a big hitter, I accepted that ages ago. But not out of sadness & unrest, but through confident choice. Once I did that I immediately took the pressure off to meet others standards & expectations & it let me focus on my creativity instead 😎🎩
    • Westley_Nash parent reply Quitting solves nothing other than securing a definitive end. While you are trying there is possibility. Giving up offers nothing but end!... (love the Shia ending by the way 😁)
  • [ – ] Badger_Wild reply I started on youtube and I'm now trying vidme, youtube took me a full on two months before I saw one sub, vidme I have 4 followers in less than a month I also love the community youtubes is very toxic at times I'm thinking of putting my videos on vidme first then putting them on youtube at a later date because so far vidme for me could grow much faster my advice just push on as Tom hanks once said, "it's supposed to be hard, if it was easy everybody would do it. The hard is what makes it great"
    • [ – ] ThreeHeadedBoy parent reply We're in the same place. Several years on YouTube and haven't cracked 30 subscribers. Less than one year on vidme and we have almost 50. Would we like more views and followers? Yes. Because it means we're creating content people like.
      • Badger_Wild parent reply Yes more veiws would be nice I got more folks whatching than I got following right now so I'm happy knowing folks are getting what they want.
    • [ – ] ZenGamesTV parent reply thats a good idea, i also have a youtube channel , but i give vidme the most attention cause there is a community here to care about, unlike yt which is mostly fending off trolls lol
  • whako reply Everybody eats we all gotta eat and feed inspiration into everyone. Good vid really enjoying these vids where we see a focus on smaller channels or just giving hope overall.
  • DGTLONE reply great video bro The attitude you are expressing is so positive wish you the best of luck and the same to everyone grinding to get those views. Peace DGTLONE
  • [ – ] Hoshi-Hana reply This is wonderful listening to in the morning. It's so true and positive. It's always a great reminder! I'm trying to find a way to be able doing shout outs for smaller creators as well. Probably gonna be art related. :)
  • [ – ] ZenGamesTV reply I i personally would rather grow my channel slowly over time than quick and fast over a short time because when you grow slowly your followers would be more invested in your content
  • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas reply The only way to help out the small content creators is content creators that has a large amount of followers to get the small content creators featured for them to have a good chance of being in the spotlight and I will be featuring 10 small content creators on my video next week.
  • walkingforweightloss reply Good thoughts ZenGamesTV. However it might be helpful if @Vidme created at least one page dedicated to giving creators an idea how to best succeed here - basically a shorter, Vidme version of YouTube's creator's academy.
  • o_OFrosty_BrosO_o reply Zen is giving out knowledge in this video. Great video man.
  • Calibri_Funtimes reply Best advice for content creators but also should apply to your life in general: STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHER PEOPLE! I know it's easy to feel envy or shame when you see yourself next to someone, STOP IT! I'm aware it's easier said than done because we're told to lead and live by example. When we feel like we've failed to meet that expectation, it's hard to NOT compare yourself to others. I get it. But seriously! Just be yourself and grow your content at your pace. Your chapter 1 does not need to coincide with anyone else's chapter 1.
