  • [ – ] ShinyBigBoo reply Those drone shots!!
  • [ – ] BrianAiya reply That's a high standard for your 1st video :P Drone footage and good camera :P i still use my phone to film my vids. lol :P Great to see your progress and it's not even a year. It's always good to see how far you came so that it gives you motivation!
    • SamEarl13 parent reply I use a phone as well lol, as long as you use the camera on the back you usually get ok quality.
    • danielamann parent reply Nothing wrong with using your phone!!! I mix my phone and shots from it in alll the time into these vlogs believe it or not! I just do it in a way where people tend not to notice for whatever reason! It's about what you use, just about how you tell the story
  • [ – ] JustHypeVibe reply whoa! That Tripod though. Also you truly deserve all this success in a span of 4 months Daniel Congrats. I'm here A witness to prove all of that. :D
  • [ – ] theoldsparrow reply You looked so young in your first vlog. :p Just a joshing from a person with bad taste. :D I don't want to even think about my first video. Totally unscripted, nervous as hell, and I didn't even have editing software. It's a good thing I got some early advice from @Y2JayDoesAsia or I probably wouldn't even still be making videos.
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Isn't it crazy that just four months ago was the first time I ever did this? It's mind boggling!!! And to think that people actually watched!!!! I'm even more mind blown now than I was then
      • [ – ] theoldsparrow parent reply It was good in the beginning but has come a long way since then. Wisdom comes from experiences.
        • Y2JayDoesAsia parent reply One thing to keep in mind is that success in online video is fleeting. When you stop creating content, your audience will stop following you. If you change your content, part of your audience will stop following you. I've been making Youtube videos for 9 years and made 5 different genres of videos over that time. Honestly I wouldn't consider myself "successful" at any point in time with videos. It's a tough struggle no matter what genre you make. The most successful I ever was, was making WWE wrestling Videos on Youtube about 5 years ago, and I got 100-200 views at that time and had about 500 Youtube subscribers. But the problem was that I built "my brand" ontop of the "wwe brand" and when the wwe brand got boring and stale and I just got sick of it, I had to stop making WWE videos. And all that hard work pretty much dissappeared. Lesson learned: Building your brand ontop of another brand CAN catapault you into success, but there's a lot more liability with it too. Like people that ...moremakes channels about The Walking Dead or Game Of Thrones. What happens when the day comes that those shows aren't on TV anymore.
        • danielamann parent reply Much appreciated my friend!
  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply It's always fun to see the improvement of our work. You had talent for vlogging from the start, you just needed to find your groove. The drone shots were impressive! Your new tripod pan was nice, especially mixed with the zoom. It's amazing how our creativity can let loose when we have the right equipment. It was funny to see you drive away from your camera, knowing you would have to drive back to get it. Putting in that extra bit of quality for us! The new view in your room is good too. Hi, my name is Daniel and I am a fidget spinner aholic. "Such a cool drone shot. I haven't..." [Blurry Daniel enters the frame] "Okay..." [Sigh] I love your reactions to your earlier video! Thanks for showing us this reaction video. Great idea!
    • danielamann parent reply It's crazy to me how far I've come over the last four months. I think the biggest thing for me is that I was never afraid to at least try, even if I didn't know how it would turn out in the end! I definitely LOVE the new ability to pan and the opportunities that opens up for me in the future! That was a cool little thing I thought I'd try out. So far as driving away, yeah I did have to come back eventually, and it was probably further than it looks!!! I haven't spun yet today surprisingly, but the last two days I did a lot ;D I was so disappointed to go from such great drone footage to that :/ Really just threw me off there! I'm glad I've made my transition from scene to scene a bit smoother since
  • [ – ] FrostyGalaxy reply Awesome video
  • [ – ] Voxgizer reply Those drone shots are AMAZING. I always wondered how you got those! Yes, I noticed the Betta setup as a matter of fact xD I worked for PetsMart for a few years, so I was curious if it was a fish or a hermit crab, but you answered that lol You've improved so much over such a short amount of time. You're an inspiration, my friend! :) Also, if I ever start a vlog, I'm totally hounding you for snowy-over-highway-drone-shots. I can't get over how amazing those look.
    • danielamann parent reply Thanks so much! I got a lot of good drone footage over this winter which was fun (and cold!) I love my Betta and I got him from PetSmart! I had a hermit crab when I was a little kid too =D I've continued to improve rapidly over the last four months and can't wait to see where I am in 4 years! We'll have to get you flying a drone one day!!!
  • crissymoss reply That's hilarious. I love it. It's amazing to see how far you've come.
  • MarzieMalfoy reply Haha! You gots a fidget spinner! Wow! That intro early on is great! The snow on those houses (or are they big cabins?) is beautiful. Vlogging and driving.. seems safe lol Those are great drone shots! "You guys have really bad taste." Lol!!!! You are so honest! Hahaha <3 You really have come a long way. Improvement is what matters most :)
  • Brannie reply Impressive achievement brudda well done on you 👊
  • FrostyGalaxy reply Daniel I have been having a problem where I have ideas on what to upload but I can't be bothered to get up and film them. Do you have any idea on how I can be motivated?
  • TiffanyVonGravely reply Really love the editing on this!
  • JustABloke reply The video's you make now flow so well and it's like you were born to vlog. Then we watched your video and your reaction, I was thinking, wth, your 1st ever vlog intro was beautiful, and then you walked in, out of focus. Bam at that point, I would've followed you, because there my friend you are just like the rest of us, a normal human being. From this point on every mistake that YOU pointed out, I'm looking forward to doing those mistakes myself, that way I can say "See Daniel did it, I'm on the right path". Good to see @hailstorm get in that 1st vlog (even if it did take her a LONG time to get ready LoL shhh). Sorry to disagree with you, but that video was very interesting.
  • USUandS reply DAYS OFF, WOO!! It's insane to watch things we've first made and compare them to current videos. Nonetheless, a blurry Daniel Amann is still a great Daniel Amann. The drone shots over the highway were pretty neat to watch as well. I think you were just recapping that day, like you said. Plus, you've incorporated topics, added a variety of different shots in your videos and have a rhythm of editing. You've made lots of progress, and there's much more to come!
  • pianoelectro reply From the shy, "Hi, I'm Danny," to, "Hello America, I'm Dan Amann, and today, I want to talk you about Golf and how to properly reprimand your caddies." Just keep going until you meet Julia Roberts and Tom Cruise, for dinner, in Iowa, because they like reprimanding their caddies. - Ss
  • SeafoodBuffet reply The greens of the field and the orange of your shirt at the beginning worked perfectly together. Great shot.
  • CloudKnight reply keep it up homie !
  • JustLife reply Great vlog keep it up!
  • SamEarl13 reply Sort of inspiring that you managed to go from recording silly vlog's like that to the ones you do know by self teaching, you sure loved recording your feet lol. Also did you mean to say "up on vidme" instead of "up on video" around -8:04 lol :P
