  • Fighting_Zenith reply Your critique of this summarizes Cartoon Network's Uncle Grandpa, which was also considered a bad show that did get good on its last season. To be honest, I stopped watching the Star Trek TV series after The Next Generation.
  • deejf reply Starship Troopers wasn't a 9/11 allegory. It was an abortion of a film adaptation of a great novel that was an exploration of the ideas of civic duty, with some Pearl Harbor analogs included. Which is appropriate, since Robert A. Heinlein participated in the Naval war game that basically gave the Japanese their plan of attack, because the brass of the US Navy dismissed the results of the 1934 war game as "unrealistic".
