  • [ – ] JustABloke reply I'm so glad I never joined Facebook, I've been hearing more bad things about it all the time. Do you guys have regular car boot sales ? Heres an example in NZ https://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2015/car-boot-sale/auckland There is a small fee $5NZ but the advantage is that there is more things being sold to attract a lot more people to the sales, just a thought ;-) PSST by the time you do your 400 Follower video, you'd be so close to 500. Hehe well done.
    • [ – ] zoldos parent reply What's wrong with Facebook? I just use it to find old friends. I've never had any issues with it.
      • [ – ] JustABloke parent reply Good for you, when people in my real life tell me of their experiences and why they left, is all I need to form my own conclusion.
      • JessicaMartwin parent reply I mainly use it to keep in touch with old friends too.
      • [ – ] RichardWendling parent reply MInd sucking life absorbent and Information hubb for the WWW to drain your reality and inform you of their lies? Oh no, sorry, Farmville is Bitchin! Much Love! https://vid.me/E4jw I am Not Embarrassed, That doesn't mean it isn't embarrassing!
        • [ – ] zoldos parent reply Okay. So all my friends are "liars"? lol BTW, I don't play FB games.
          • [ – ] RichardWendling parent reply I have Facebook, My MOM sends me Cows and sheep...I have no idear what to do with them. I blocked her....I use the account for login convenience...!
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply I joined in 2009 when I was a freshman in high school. It was the "cool" thing to do. Ha. Never heard of that?
  • [ – ] USUandS reply Really sucks about the yard sale but like you said at lest it was a nice day to be outside! Your exact experience on fb is kinda the reason why I stay off fb talking to people I don't know through selling and buying. Not worth the hassle honestly. Grats as well on 400 :) well earned!
  • [ – ] AmandaFood reply Aww you're awesome and sweet and nice and funny and the best <3 yay 400!
  • [ – ] Cl0mar reply We had a yard sale today too and nobody came :/
  • [ – ] HeroicVillain reply Did you put signs by the main roads? What about an ad in Craig's List?
    • [ – ] RichardWendling parent reply This is a must! Also, Churches before the SUnday before your sale! You would be surprised. Put an offer like 10% off if they mention such and such church. They will be fighting for your stuff!
      • [ – ] HeroicVillain parent reply Right! And whatever you do, don't list your garage sale on 'personals'.
        • [ – ] RichardWendling parent reply If you do, upsell those hoes that show up on another ad under craigslist gigs domestic, never lose traction because of others stealing thunder! Just Flip The SCript! Gigs Domestic Gives you Plausible deniability!
          • JessicaMartwin parent reply Yes, and we posted on craigslist. I just really need to get rid of some stuff... That's a good idea about the churches! Thanks for the tips :)
  • [ – ] NeckbreakerNadine reply That's why I sell my stuff on the internet
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply I usually use ebay but if i sell the stuff I have on ebay I will lose money due to the cost of shipping such cheap items.
  • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy reply Facebook has a marketplace now? Wow! That shows how much I pay attention lol Too bad about the yard sale and the rude people. That's why I just donate to goodwill or salvation army.
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Haha, yeah. I just found that out the other day. Mhm, but oh well. That's the way life goes sometimes :) I do plan on donating my stuff to goodwill. There are a few of them around here.
  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply That's too bad about the sale. Long and boring and nobody cared. I don't have patience for selling. I usually end up donating things that I no longer need. There's no reason for people to be so rude either. But that doesn't stop them. Getting the car washed is good, though. Cars like to be babied. I hope you enjoy your time together with family. Thanks for sharing your day!
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Mhm, but oh well. I'm going to donate all the stuff. I don't need and but I'm sure someone could :). The rude people always stick out to me, even when I had a day filled with nice people. Thanks :)
  • [ – ] theoldsparrow reply The only transaction I had on facebook went very well. I bought my violin for $600. There was a couple of scratches and very quick lesson on it in the parking lot of a neutral restaurant but it went well. I still don't know how to play the damn thing but that's due to my own lack of diligence. I'd rather have frets so guitar ended up being a more passionate experience even though at this point I'm not practicing on that either. I need to get back into the swing of things and it really just takes commitment to the craft.
    • RichardWendling parent reply Sparrows are awesome! Also Tailor Birds! YAY!
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply Oh wow, that's awesome! I have a guitar and keyboard that i swore I would learn to play but I haven't yet.. It really does take a lot of commitment. I used to be very good at playing the piano but when you don't use it you lose it... Anyway, I hope that maybe someday you can play the violin :)
  • [ – ] ohmightyvlog reply ah sorry the Yardsale was a bust, I remember in the past we went out and put signs at the intersections and announced it in the Pennysaver etc, but it really does depend on how much out of the way you are located, I usually like Ebay now.
    • [ – ] StefanJenkins parent reply In the Uk we have these things called car boots sales, its like a yard sale but you load your car up and take it a kind of make shift market and sell your stuff there its good because there are lots of people buying.
  • [ – ] zoldos reply My car is so old/dirty that it's not worth washing. Vacuuming the inside however, yes! hehe
  • [ – ] ExcalibursZone reply I'd rather do eBay than yard sales in most cases, but that's because the sun is a giant death ray to me. :) I hope you have a good time with your parents! I usually wish my mom a happy father's day because my dad doesn't really deserve it, she did all the work after they divorced. I also like to buy my wife and son gifts because without them, I wouldn't be a dad today. :)
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply i would much rather use Ebay. I have sold a lot of stuff on Ebay. I just want to get rid of the stuff quickly. So, I'll just donate it all. We had a great time with my parents :) Oh wow, I am sorry to hear that. Awe, that's so sweet!! :D
  • [ – ] Purzyckij reply we just had a yard sale. total we all made a combined over 1,000$ i was kinda surprised. i guess i all depends on what you sell
  • [ – ] FemFuryIRL reply Congrats on the 400 follows! That's awesome.
  • [ – ] Dos_Gaming reply Yard sales on ebay can be amazing! I've seen some awesome stuff people have practically just give away!
  • [ – ] Techstomper reply HOW ARE yARD SALES BORING??? yard sales are frigging fantastic where i lived xD
  • [ – ] Guy_In_Car_Radio reply Beautiful day to be outside, sorry it didn't work out better for you.
  • [ – ] bononoz1 reply Indeed they are.
  • [ – ] lambdog76 reply Good to be outside for sure. Dig the Sponge-Cam3000 by the way
  • [ – ] sowhat_vid_me reply I have no clue where you live, but it looks nice. Sorry that you did not sell much. Happy Father's Day to everybody.
  • [ – ] DrCut reply Jessica, try to sale on Amazon, it will be more faster! :)
  • [ – ] AxxL_Afriku reply I'm not selling my yard! Vidme is my yard now!
  • [ – ] basic_goku reply Gettin bread
  • [ – ] whako reply Many years ago we had a sale and got quite a bit of people did one last year and barely got anyone but there is better ways to advertise and such.
  • [ – ] therunningrebel reply That's what I do with all of my old clothes! I donate all of them. 😁 Lol it's easier than trying to sell them.
  • [ – ] RichardWendling reply I see crazy patterns in the texturing behind you!
  • [ – ] RichardWendling reply When first disabled and becoming homeless, I sold everything we couldn't fit in our car!I made $200-$300 per day selling crap and garbage. I advertised and gave people deals! It helps to have some big items like car top carrier or new air conditioner to draw people in!
    • [ – ] JessicaMartwin parent reply Oh wow, that's a lot of money!
      • [ – ] RichardWendling parent reply I was shocked myself...But when you sell everything, people seem to buy your little stuff, then when you make the 2 fer $5 table and the 2 fer a $1 table people start filling up on crap and leave giving you $30..it madness! I was bringing stuff home from the alley and it was selling just as well. I even told people I just found this or that. BUt the ad on craigslist listing good items and saying free stuff or what ever....I sold my Couch and TV the day before I moved and the people came and got it on my way out! Even helped us load up. Then the new tenants also bought stuff from us like my computer desk that would have just had to be dragged out anyway. It was a God Send! We were able to stay in a Motel until we could get situated, then flee Colorado for San Diego. We also had some kick ass stuff Denon Stereo, and Niles audio indoor/outdoor speakers, computers, parts, you name it! We sold our dishes, we were going to be homeless.
  • [ – ] HeWhoLaughsLast reply Wow, that view of the mountains is lovely! But yeah, people online are so rude, because they are behind their screens they think its fine to be an ass!
    • JessicaMartwin parent reply It really is lovely! It's a nice change of scenery for me. Yeah, I have noticed that.... Rude and mean people just ruin some days...
  • [ – ] RichardWendling reply I loved having Yard Sales, When I had a Yard! I enjoy it, advertise it, emphasize it! Bang Money out of no where for your old crap! I LOVE IT!
