  • [ – ] SamEarl13 reply Sad thing is its not just big YouTubers that jump ship for stupid reasons, there's plenty of people that didn't interact in any way and soon quit when they don't get much views. I was willing to ignore Weirdest News until that recent video, I can't trust anyone that goes on about making money and calling themselves a brand.
  • [ – ] theoldsparrow reply I do it for the comments, DMs, and having good conversations not the money. Rawman is a potato but a nice one like sweet potatoes with marshmallows.
    • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply Really? I was thinkin he's more of an old potato that's been left out too long and now he is hard as a rock and tastes like garbage and if u eat him u get sick @itsonlyrawman
    • Rawman parent reply Sparrow you are the best.. thanks for the compliment!!! That is really nice. See rocky you will not make nice people do bad things. I used to be very nice before Rocky changed me into a bad person.
  • [ – ] Rawman reply ....did you actually put a drop Shadow and outer glow on your TEXT on the intro!!! Well done! I'm gunna make a Content Coup De Grace!! You stole my IDEAS!!! this is MY YARD now!!
  • [ – ] AmandaFood reply I see a lot of people who are trying new things and improving their skills here on Vid.me. They care about their work and those who watch and like it. That's why I love it here. I like your suggestion on trending and people with lower follower count.
    • HeroicVillain parent reply I used to be a wild free-range troll, but vid.me peeps tamed me...now I do well to get out a third-grader insult here and there - @CrazyRocky @itsOnlyRawman Poo poo heads.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Thanks hopefully something similar to what I suggested could be implemented, and I agree I have seen so many people improve their content so rapidly here on vidme it's awesome
  • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy reply AskACryp!! Haha! Now that's gangsta lol That would be a good change in the algorithm to have so people don't have to get so discouraged about not making it to trending once in a while. Oh you called Charlton out!! Hahahah #RawmanIsAPotato #Praisebetorocky #iamjustwakingupsoiwillbebackwithmorehashtagsbeware
  • [ – ] BrianAiya reply it's an interesting idea, with the trending. The number of your upvotes to be relative with the number of followers. Also, i was wondering where did i hear weirdest news. I remember in YT his channel's name was The Prank Reviewer, but i guess aren't any material for him, so he moved to something more broad. LOL this is the 2nd video he got mentioned in your channel. He deserves something special. Yea, it sucks that he made a video for vidme but then forgot the community. People need to understand that it's not just that he uploaded little vids. You can be a creator in Vidme and upload on 2 videos , but if you are also active in the vidme community like in the comments, upvotes, twitter or reddit, you are considered a vidizen. There are 2 reasons why big YTers come to vidme. 1: they want somewhere to backup their vids for storage. 2: they notice that their channel's revenue is not enough, and they want more. Great video talking about things that matter. Good job Rocky.
    • CrazyRocky parent reply Thanks Aiya and you are right it's not about the amount of videos you post it's about how you interact with the community
    • Xexor parent reply That's exactly it. Big YouTubers have this tendency to want sympathy when their actions don't warrant it. They use Vidme as an alternative for money (which isn't really there yet). I also don't like his whole "holding hands" metaphor. Ridiculous. One of the things that makes Vidme a much better place to be is the community. There are a lot of amazing creators here, and there are even more amazing vidizens who haven't uploaded a single video. This, over anything else, is precisely why I continue on Vidme.
  • [ – ] WolvenMedic reply I like that upvote idea, would certainly encourage people to be more interactive with the creators they enjoy and would help out the small guys a lot. giving them a chance to be seen. And hey hey hey.... Don't diss potatos man, I love those damn things :P Especially when roasted ;)
  • [ – ] linktheinformer reply Great video. Shame Ask a Crip had to die. #rawmanisapotato #praisebetoduffy #praisebetolinktheinformer I worship myself. Because Rawman is a potato.
  • [ – ] lambdog76 reply #Rawmanisapotato I think @WeirdestNews was being real, and I can respect the honesty he shared about big youtubers (can we call the boogers?) that is to say professional internet access content creator requirements. I will say the point of any platform will be to make money, at minimum enough to cover staff and operating costs. I get that, I also get that Vid.me is intended to be a cross between a multimedia sharing platform and a reddit style forum. Personally, I do not feel that our audience is a finite resource, online population is projected to grow in the billions as internet access continues to expand. It is a little weird when "Boogers" apply their YouTube strategy to Vid.me it has worked for @WeirdestNews but that is because he is an engagement and community oriented type of creator. I dont know, I guess it is up to @Axxl_Afriku as it is his yard afterall..
  • [ – ] GunDoctorTV reply Great video man you made some good points. With these large channels I think if you don't interact with the community you shouldn't get verified or something like that.
  • [ – ] BlaisStudios reply The trending idea is pretty smart. I have to admit you are pretty smart.
  • [ – ] Iannis_Hour reply I dont like when big youtubers come there and take all the space... I am not gonna be racist between platforms BUT Computing Forever came there and he got 10K followers ! NOBODY has even 7K followers WTF
    • [ – ] Iannis_Hour parent reply and computing forever just came there with an audience that dosent check anything else , no support to someone else , they just have the link of his channel and go there THIS Soooo............
      • [ – ] mathphysicsnerd parent reply I'm sorry you think that lowly of people like me who found this amazing site thanks to Dave :-(
        • Rawman parent reply I might not agree with CF content all the time. But yes he along with others have brought huge audience.
        • Iannis_Hour parent reply I didnt say that 7K people do the same thing...They are not robots so if u ever chack other channels and give your support then my comment dosent aply to u
  • [ – ] BaronMan reply There's some good ideas there. If they won't go for your idea with upvotes, perhaps having a separate trending sections for smaller channels. #rawmanisapotatoe
  • [ – ] WeirdestNews reply Really, fuck me.... a personal attack? I got you.
    • Rawman parent reply You done the crime and your time... And this guy brings it up again!! Crazy Rocky (aka Francois Bershwack) must be stopped. #EndTheWeeklyHarassmentShow everyone put out videos angry with him and his nonsense. It's time to stop him.
    • lambdog76 parent reply another obvious scam, now you and @CrazyRocky are in kahoots with the guerrilla marketing. @Mr2ndopinion will be on the case shortly... I see you two collabbing.... We would still have our bots if it wasn't for @CrazyRocky !
  • SharkPlaysGames reply #crazyrocky is a potatoes.... did i do that right?
  • SharkPlaysGames reply let Vidme do Vidme. that's what i've been saying for a while. god damn it.
  • YousefArt reply Exactly YouTubers will steal small channels chances... And Vidme don't care about small channels
  • [ – ] NateToons reply Dang it @itsOnlyRawman ! Why did you have to kill AskACrip? D:
  • sapphiredskye reply I fucking hate YouTube
  • [ – ] ItsRaditz reply i'M On WeirdestNews's side
    • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply Yea I'm racist against big youtubers so I see why
      • lambdog76 parent reply Cultural Missappropriation of Branded Content Creators smdh...
      • [ – ] ItsRaditz parent reply Watching your videos your a funny Guy Keep up the good work man :)
        • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply Thanks man! And thanks for bein one of the good ones
          • [ – ] ItsRaditz parent reply I'm very new in this community. I don't know what's going on but I heard this a lot of drama between you and couple other creators I'm just sitting back enjoying myself listening to the the videos and the diss tracks and stuff, Ohh i wanted to say that E-Girl dis thing was a good song, Content like that I personally think you deserve more exposure
            • Rawman parent reply I'M THE DRAMA LORD!!!! Lol. Any drama you heard from rocky and others (me etc) was fake diss tracks and comedy roasts. It was just Comedy and entertainment.
            • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply Thanks man that means a lot! Yea I'm kinda known as the drama guy so I created the Vidme drama crew lol. You need help with anything vidme related (since you're new) just hit me up in the dm's
  • [ – ] USUandS reply I think there's a lot of YouTuber's who want to expand and build audiences in places like Vidme, but don't understand how it'll effect the site or maybe they do and take advantage of their popularity. I don't need to mention YouTubers who don't bring a productive and valuable attitude when they show up, cause we all know who they are. There's those that show up with an open mind and reasonable point of view though, and it's pretty vital that when they do show up that the community responds in a way that's welcoming yet constructive because it sucks when one of these YouTubers just leaves without knowing why they're not making money here. If they decide to leave, so be it. The growth of the community isn't dependent on people like that but rather on people who take the time to get to know the circumstances, creators and viewers of Vidme. It's only a matter of time til well-known people like that start to show up and start effecting the site in a major way. The community has also been ...moreextremely good at bringing all this to light and will continue to do so, which is why I like videos like this. Great stuff Rocky!
  • [ – ] mathphysicsnerd reply I find myself concerned with the people who are rocking the boat in the community, not following the rules or just being dicks in general. My hope is that the majority of people wen end up with aren't like that and I'm doing my part to ensure people are aware that they'll get more positive interactions by being nice and following the rules
    • [ – ] CrazyRocky parent reply Im a dick tho :,(
      • mathphysicsnerd parent reply Maybe, but you're a dick who cares about the community and who bothers following the rules ;-P (Also, to be serious for a sec, I get the feeling that you're just a damn good actor. You seem like a smart guy who just knows how to meme and video well)
  • [ – ] BlaisStudios reply I do like how you reply to all your comments. That's detication.
  • AxxL_Afriku reply Don't worry kids, the G.O.A.T. is here to help fellow humans take down YouTube. THIS IS MY YARD NOW!
  • [ – ] BlaisStudios reply Dude, you are so toxic.
  • [ – ] Rawman reply YOU DO THAT HASH TAG AND BE READY TO EAT YOUR OWN WORDS ON MY NEXT DISS TRACK!!! THIS IS MY YARD NOW!!! (lol that guy is pretty fun but I promise there is a good reason for all these AxxL references).
  • Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply Sometimes you just need to get those feelings out! The headgear was silly. That was great! I get a lot out of being on Vidme. It's fun and I get to watch cool videos and connect to people. I don't see Vidme turning into a YT clone. Vidme has it's own style. You're right that it's okay for big YT people to come here, but they should be respectful. They won't make a ton of money here. If they know that going into it, then they won't feel let down when it doesn't happen. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
  • Goldtooth_Fuckknife reply EXTREME MESSAGE TO CRAZYROCKY ON MY CHANNEL ! DONT FUCK WITH ME . I AM GOD !
  • Fable_ reply I got to be honest, I did dump off my content from Youtube on this site just for the money. (Which I have never monetized yet while some are copyrighted due to the music I used) But as I stayed here for a while, I do realize the same point that you said which is that this community is small and it's not really much to make out of from the current source. But I started to value more onto the aspect of "for the fans" and "for the money" just from staying here because of how creators interact in this website so it made me decide that I'll just try to make different content that will help improve myself in the future. (i had no idea why i typed that but i felt like it so i did typed it)
  • SpesOwN reply That's true my friend. I'm a youtuber too! But i'm not here just for money, but for the creation.
  • Xexor reply I can see things a little from Wierdest's perspective, meaning that if you make a living off of ads on YouTube, it would be very hard to stop that to go to a platform currently not making much money for you. If you *truly* believe in a platform like Vidme, though, you would find a way to make money in spite of / outside of this site. Trying to garner sympathy b/c you posted to both platforms doesn't work; there are many people here who were never big on YouTube who have posted to both platforms. Do they work any less hard than Wierdest (who, btw, probably doesn't actually make that much based on SocialBlade stats) or other big YouTubers?
  • Naturenerd1000 reply Agreed ads will be good for the site and help it to stay free and run their servers, also motivate and help support content creation. With the current donation and subscription system in place we all ready are not as controlled by ad companies as YouTube. Also just because you're a big YouTuber doesn't mean you'll be successful on vidme. Other content creators thrive and we have the advantage.
  • [ – ] November_Fox reply I subscribed to Ask A Gangster the day his last video posted. I realized about a week or so after that he wasn't likely going to post another one. I feel like an idiot for subscribing to him in the first place. Fortunately I have since unsubscribed and I can promise you he will never get any of my money again!
    • [ – ] AsKaGangsta parent reply I'm sorry people just been saying i left but that was a lie.
      • [ – ] November_Fox parent reply Making a few videos and then stopping for several weeks without any heads up seems a bit flaky. Perhaps I will follow you again in the future, but I can't subscribe to someone who's flaky like that.
        • [ – ] AsKaGangsta parent reply perhaps i have a life outside of the internet.. I didn't have much time to create exclusive vidme videos until recently and I'm not going to stress myself out. btw i don't need anyone to sub to me, that's irrelevant.
          • CrazyRocky parent reply Thats a good way to look at it man. Subs mean nothin t
          • November_Fox parent reply I of course have a life outside of the internet as well. I'm not sure what your life is like off line, so I'm not going to try to judge your situation. A bit of a pet peeve of mine is when someone takes a long break from content creating without taking 5 minutes to make a video letting people know what's going on. Perhaps that's bad on me for having that expectation; I'm not sure. However, let it be known that I'm not trying to tell you how to run your channel. You as a creator can come and go as you please, and I as a viewer have the right to come and go as I please. I also still respect you as a person and I'm not trying to start any drama.
  • roshugaming reply Ads can help the community to grow and help the site to grow and improve the site a bit faster
  • ITSnippets reply Having invested about £2 grand in my setup, I'm obviously not about making money...my YT revenue... is less than $1... (£0.50)...
  • TheBaconFromHell reply You cant talk shit about me crazyrocky, i have been supporting vid.me since April 2015. Come at me. *gets stronk* ;)
  • Albert_Fuller reply You seem like a bright young man and that intro was funny as he'll bruh 😅😂😂😆. I'm new to the community and so far so good. I'll be checking in soon ✌
  • MartyReactions reply We want money nigga
  • ScammerRevolts reply Seems like you just don't want the site to grow. small creators won't keep a site that has to keep itself growing. and you seem a bit mad that other people get to choose what they want to do XD
  • FreshSocksFox reply Nah. I'm here because you guys are nice and think I'm cute *noms on cookies*
  • cartergamegeek reply I'm here on Videme because i wanted extra traction. As a small YouTube Channel i just want an extra way to show people my content.
  • KJOzborne reply I am a ´Big Youtuber´ and I believe you have great points. I personally am just trying to branch out and try new platforms. The biggest difference I have found between YT and Vidme is...wait for it...heart. Yup, heart! I have been on YT for over 7 years, and maaaan has it changed. It really has become toxic. The ´´Community´´ there is mostly filled with ´´fake Channels´´ which means they have no content, and they are only there to troll and make people miserable. YT has lost it´s ´´heart´´, where it seems here, you guys have a GREAT and loving community. So, good on ya. I am hoping it stays cool here. From what I am seeing, it should not be a problem. Thanks Vidme, for being cool.
  • Zimbo_Gamer reply Ads are good so are big youtubers. Although their reputations are bad; i bet u $2 i still wont be over 100 folls by then.
  • Noodle_KING reply I came to Vid.me just to entertain people lol. If people come here just for views then oh shittt dawg you're going to have a bad time. Gotta take yo timeeee
  • TheCynicalCypher reply Agreed here. The big YouTubers coming and leaving kind of feel like a slap to the face of the community if you ask me. There's already the issue of them taking up the spotlight from other, smaller creators, thus making them appear here feel like an absolute waste of time. Those that stay around, I appreciate. However, they also seem to be the ones that promote the site the least. I don't know, just kind of the way I see it. As for the ads, I really don't see it becoming a bad thing, at least for a while. I doubt that ads would be implemented in the exact same way that ads on YT work, therefore I doubt that the majority of the issues that arose from the YT implementation would appear here. I could be entirely wrong, but I've got faith in the Vidme team. They've got a great product here and I only wish to see it continue to grow. And the implementation of ads will certainly do so.
  • HeroicVillain reply https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4XAUdxfF3Q
  • Temmie19 reply I really like your suggestion for Trending. I think it gives a more interesting aproach for smaller channels to get recognized and grow. It also allows the bigger channels to make better content so they can stay Trending. As for ads, I don't see it as much of a problem especially if Vid.Me really cares about their creators as much as they say they do.
  • Aaronshy reply I was small time on YouTube. I admit I posted some vids on YouTube again but I prefer the friendlinest of Vidme.
  • JohnnyAction reply Good points. YouTube is our enemy.
  • Westley_Nash reply I must admit I get hacked off with the people who are only about the money on these sites 😒 I mean, ultimately it's their choice, they can chase money if they want & I'm not going to fight them on that, but it's that they act all humble & say "it's not about the money" when their behaviour clearly states otherwise! That old saying: "Don't piss in my pocket & tell me it's raining!" jumps to mind 😎 I've never ever made any money on my videos even on YouTube, so it's not about the money for me (whether I like it or not 😂) I came to VidMe for the views & the community, two things I was struggling with on YouTube. As for Follow4Follow? It's as lucrative as Sub4Sub.... As in not in any way shape or form!! It's almost delusional to think that this practice holds long term prosperity for your channel. I really love the kind of conversations you guys & gals get going here on VidMe, it feels real, it feels relevant & everyone feels free to join in; YouTube never felt like that ever.
  • ZTV_Productions reply Very good points. Vidme now is like how Youtube was back in the day, before they got bought out. I would hate to see this place turn into another soulless corporate appendage with NO community, and creators that only care about how much money they can make.
  • MultiKillerjoe reply i like your Idea honestly i do both youtube and vidme i came here to get more known cause i go unnoticed on youtube. And it gets to me but on here everyone friendly but i do think advertisements on here would be great cause then it would be the top competitor to youtube but i hope it will not go to vidme's head like it did to youtube. Also i hope they don't start making new shit rules and stuff like youtube started doing cause i love vidme and the community is full of nice people that comment and upvote and i don't won't it to be filled up with trolls and i pray that keemstar never decides to come over here cause there are just some high-up youtubers that blow! I am mainly here to get my content notice me and to make sweet gaming content for my viewers so thanks for making this video it does talk about questions on peoples minds!
  • Tentacle reply While your intentions are perhaps pure, you’ll find that most people are motivated by the idea of fame and money, especially when it comes to creative content online. With nobody actively placed as the “figure head” to VidMe, many outsiders will see that as an opportunity to turn what they do into a brand and become the websites version of say PewDiePie, iDubbz, h3h3 etc etc. A wave is coming Rocky and it’s filled with shit personalities and obnoxious requests to smash that like button.
  • sandia_mesa_mlh reply It's really weird, I'll be honest. First off, there's already some YouTubers who've posted a few videos on Vidme and then left it and continued with business as usual. A good example of this is Drama Alert (who only posted an intro video Lol). TBH, if people like him think they're gonna start making money on Vidme and getting a million followers like magic, they need to poor a bucket of ice on their head, and then stay away until they can think logically outside of the "branding mindset." - Sean King
  • EquallyWorthless reply I think one day, maybe not in the near future, dependence on ads is going to be very low. The rise of adblock and Patreon seem to indicate that people, at least a smaller more affluent portion, are willing to subsidize smaller creators to make content free and ad-free for everyone. I imagine an internet where all you see are a few unobtrusive banner ads and some sponsored content. People just aren't willing to put up with ads worse than TV or radio commercials. Vid.me should put some advertisements on the site because we just don't yet have the infrastructure to financially support a website like I described. Youtube's apparently having pretty good success with Youtube Red and super chat. The more sites support themselves in ways that are beneficial to the user and not excessively exclusionary or hostile to the non-paying user, the more that will embrace this approach. Ads should be a crutch until you can walk on your own feet.
  • Max_Evel reply You make some excellent points about the so called, "Big You Tubers". The reasons I had chosen to use Vidme to make videos was to have fun, and share my brand of horrible videos. You know... for laughs with like minded people. So far, it's been great here, and I only wish the best for Vidme in the future.
  • Trap_Luverz reply Sort of like your trending idea but to me doesn't it sort of go against what trending is or should be? To me trending would be something actually trending with 5k+ views or something. I'd say the 'vidme team picks' should pick more smaller channels than larger channels to showcase. I also like the idea of ads and hope they come up with a good system for them. Nice video!
  • whako reply This isn't a damn paycheck as I have said people here at Vidme are here to have a love to produce content for their audiences. If you are here for just the pay and not giving a damn about your viewers gtfo you won't last long here. Great video again my boy Rocky.
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply I'm getting sick and fucking tired of ALL the BIG YOUTUBERS, They ALL NEEDS TO FUCK OFF, Vidme
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply Fuck all big youtubers they all mean nothing to me.
  • CrazyRocky reply By the way the editing in the beginning where the intro at got fucked up somehow just ignore it! The song was supposed to fade out and it didn't
  • [ – ] CrazyRocky reply Someone will always get shot at the beginning of content coup
