Nina visited Lisa in London, and with their friend Rachel took a trip to discover The London Stone.
The London Stone is only the upper portion of a once much larger object, an historic landmark traditionally housed at 111 Cannon Street in the City of London. The London Stone is currently having "a spa retreat" at the Museum of London while the 111 Cannon Street building is reconstructed.
There's a lot of legends surrounding The London Stone, but perhaps the most famous is that which suggests it was London's 'Palladium' - an object which, like the Palladium of Troy (https://www.britannica.com/topic/Palladium-Greek-religion) was vital to the safety and wellbeing of the City. This theory first came about when Revd Richard Williams Morgan contributed to the journal 'Notes and Queries' (1862), quoting a supposed ancient proverb about London: "So long as the Stone of Brutus is safe, so long shall London flourish". Brutus was the legendary founder of London (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brutus_of_Troy). It seems Morgan made this up however, as it was never referred to as "The Stone Of Brutus" before he said it.
