  • [ – ] SinglePlayer reply Now I really want to see your reaction to some stronger coffee... like Death Wish coffee. I like my coffee about as strong as I can get it.
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Death Wish coffee huh? Sounds absolutely terrifying...I don't know if I could handle the taste of something super strong either! I like the sweet, caramel flavored drinks more usually, but that is just me
      • [ – ] ShinyBigBoo parent reply I've tried that stuff!! Kept me up for almost 48 hours... Daniel great vid! I mae an introduction video for your 1K. It's pinned to my channel! :D <3 keep on rockin!!
        • [ – ] danielamann parent reply No way dude...48 hours!?!?! Ugh that has to mess you up real bad! I'm already always bouncing my leg while sitting at my desk or tapping my fingers on something, without coffee! I can't imagine what would happen to me if I was hit with that kind of energy. Thanks for the video dude! Downloaded it!!! =D I appreciate your participation in the collaboration!
          • [ – ] ShinyBigBoo parent reply Yeah!! It was nuts! I didn't stop moving for several hours. No Daniel, thank you!! You are a big part of the community!! :D
            • danielamann parent reply Ugh that sounds ridiculous!!! AND wow! You're so kind =D I love this community, the people here, what it means to be a creator on this site, etc...I'm humbled to be here and be a part of what is going on
  • [ – ] ElCidDos reply Great advice.
    • danielamann parent reply Hey thanks! Hopefully it has meaning to at least a couple people who end up seeing this video =D Thanks for stopping by!
  • [ – ] KayToons reply Coffee isn't for me either. The most I'll do is an ice coffee at Dunkin Donuts every once in a while. Usually is I need a boost of energy I'll eat a banana
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Glad to see so many people are on the no coffee train! That's awesome! I'm not as alone as I feared. I didn't mention it, but I also only like iced coffee, not hot! However, bananas are disgusting and you shouldn't eat them...Actually you should eat them, but I really don't like them (although sometimes I do eat them just for the sake of it)
  • [ – ] Mister_Shots reply This was a nice vlog man :)
  • [ – ] Rawman reply The font really is cool i like it. Eyyyy!! That Starbucks part was sick!!! Loved the way that happened great edit. Does it really rain for you every day? In London it goes through all 4 seasons each day lol. Sometimes it rains, snows and is super hot out. For the QnA. If you could do one thing and make a change in the world today (even if small and if even only it's only temporary) what would it be?
    • danielamann parent reply Hahahahah hey someone mentioned the font! I can't decide at all, but it is different and I was thinking different is good! It hasn't rained every day, but our weather has been wack. We have all fours seasons in one day too...It snowed and was a nice warm sunny day in the same day in one of my vlogs last week -- almost makes it look like my footage is from completely separate months. It is weird. Thanks for the Q&A question, that's a tough one. I'll have to think about that for a while
  • [ – ] Calibri_Funtimes reply I haven't finished watching the entire vlog, but I ADORE this intro song!!!
    • danielamann parent reply Oh I am in agreement with you there...That song is top notch! Got to love DJ Quads -- he makes some really good tracks and I use his stuff a lot for these vlogs
  • [ – ] crissymoss reply Coffee doesn't really wake me up either, I just love it. And I work in a call center so if I don't have something hot to drink I get a sore throat all the time. So coffee it is. (Thankfully my job gives it to us for free.)
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Oh I can imagine being stuck talking literally all day on the phone that you would need a lot of liquids to make sure that nothing happens to your throat. I can't imagine doing that day in and day out
      • [ – ] crissymoss parent reply I couldn't imagine it either until just recently. I always said it would be the worst cause I hate talking this much. But I needed a higher paying job, so here I am.
  • [ – ] GHondo reply This was fantastic advice! I'm the type that helps everyone out, but so many people just take advantage - they'll have me do something for them, then I'll never hear from them again. It's sad. I just wish everyone would follow this! Anyway, thanks for posting this! :)
    • danielamann parent reply Hey thanks so much, glad that you enjoyed the video and can apply it to real life! That is so awesome to see. Thanks for such nice words and for supporting what I do. I wish more people followed this as well =D Cheers
  • [ – ] scottwebb reply I like what Seth Godin mentioned just the other day: "We get what we invest in. The time we spend comes back, with interest." It's the same kind of thing you're bringing up. It's brought up a lot even, but many people still struggle with the giving first aspect. I can't wait to share a video here about something awesome that relates 100% to this topic. Power of giving! Great vid. Should have got a Unicorn Frappuccino though, ya savage.
    • danielamann parent reply You aren't even the first person to mention the Unicorn Frap, which I find completely hilarious! I agree with that comment, because it is true. If you're willing to put in the hard work and effort and put others first, eventually it all comes back round to you (maybe not always, but generally). Can't wait for your video about it Scott!
  • [ – ] BrassCandy reply As a flaming Mormon, I can't touch a drip of coffee. I run the risk of being banished or burned at the stake...
  • [ – ] Zimbo_Gamer reply Starbucks is such a white thing
  • [ – ] AvinashAshok reply Another great video man! Your first 10 seconds draw the view to watching your videos! Loving the cinematic :) good choice of music and video idea I am gonna be starting to vlog. A blogging style which I like and is a bit unique... if it sounds cool to you you can check out my channel give a following or sub or whatever! Keep it up! Looking forward to the next video!
    • danielamann parent reply Hey thanks a lot! They say that the first 10 seconds or so of your video is the most important to seeing if your audience is going to want to keep watching or is going to click away, so I try to get right to the point =D I definitely have a style that has evolved and changed over time, and it really has begun to suit me and what I want to accomplish as a vlogger. I'm happier now with my content than I ever have been, and have a long way to go as well. So glad to hear that you like what I do =D
  • [ – ] KeiserHTTC reply Bro you need to thank your friend for helping you with your work. Any success you have through your study you will always remember that help to put you where you are. That's just the kind of guy I judge you to be m8. Now the rain bro I am Scottish as you know which means I'm basically a water pokemon it rains here so much 😁. But if you are ever stressed just sit in the car 🚗 in the rain lay back and listen 👂 so calming I love the sound of the rain ☔
    • danielamann parent reply Water Pokemon!!!! HAHAHAAHAH -- To be completely honest one of my favorite things is falling asleep in the summer listening to rain with the window open at night. That is one of the most relaxing sounds I have ever heard
  • [ – ] UnarmoredForce reply If I lived in the US I'd order Kimera Coffee, because that brand is badass! It's too expensive to ship across the Atlantic (at least for me).
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Never had it! Maybe I will have to look it up and give it a try sometime. What makes it so special?
      • [ – ] UnarmoredForce parent reply They market it as high quality coffee infused with nootropics. The nootropics they use are natural amino acids. So it's kinda like grabbing a few BCAAs w/ your coffee. Oh snap, they've got a EU distributor now! :D
  • [ – ] jaexe reply You know Casey Neistat, right? If so, it really shows in your Videos. ^^ Anyways, good Video!
    • danielamann parent reply Casey who!?!?! Hahaha yeah Neistat is a huge influencer of what I do, though I've tried to have my own style a tad. Hopefully that shines through as well ;D Thanks for the nice words
  • [ – ] SpeakingOfGames reply Wise words indeed, and most definitely the way to live by
  • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy reply It does feel better when you get something in return without expecting it but I never do. Whenever I help someone, it's an instinctual thing. I just jump right in if I can lol
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply I think you've got the right attitude! If someone needs help with something, just jump in and start contributing. Most the time that's the end of it, but once in a while it makes a real difference to someone and they return the favor in a big way
      • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy parent reply When I was working as a security officer at a college, one of the teachers was sick. I found out that she had diabetes and stayed with her the entire time until her husband came to pick her up. It was DC so it took a few hours. I gave a dollar to my partner to go get her something from the vending machine and he kept saying that this wasn't part of the job description. He did it anyways but kept complaining that I shouldn't be staying with her like that. He did have good points in regard to the job where if she did fall and I intervened I'd be liable. But I don't think like that. If something happens and I can help I'd rather get in trouble for helping than guilt for not. Plus we are given first aid training for a reason. And then I have my military combat aid training to boot. (Although, I do suggest when it comes to medical stuff to not do anything if you don't know what you are doing because it could cause more harm. I was trained for stuff like this.) The next day, her husband come...mores in and hands me an envelope. It was a Starbucks gift card because that's where she saw me everyday before going to work. He thanked me for watching her even though I was being pressured not to. Sorry this was long-winded but it involved a Starbucks gift card and I wanted to share lol
        • [ – ] danielamann parent reply That's truly amazing! I've heard tons of stories about people who were punished for doing what would more-or-less be considered 'doing the right thing' and I agree with the choice you made. Sometimes rules, regulations, etc. just have to be thrown out the window in order to take care of what is correct in our hearts and in our minds. That is a really great story you shared and I really enjoyed getting to know something like that from your life. Thanks for sharing Marzie
  • [ – ] PopcornLobotomy reply I just quit coffee a month, was totally addicted. I felt severe depression for about 4 days (like a bad hangover that never ends) and my IQ has since dropped about 20 points, I reckon. I feel really sluggish still, although I think I'm getting back to normal. My mother is like you. She can drink a cup before bedtime and still sleep soundly. Funny how different people react.
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Wow that is quite the story! Caffeine is addicting as can be, so I totally understand, but it's still crazy to hear that it is like that. Do you think you will be a happier person not relying on coffee? Also, I agree. Very strange how it doesn't change me at all, but some people can't even feel normal without it
      • [ – ] PopcornLobotomy parent reply Honestly, I think I'll eventually get back on coffee, but I'll try to moderate my intake a little and take regular breaks to ensure I'm not too hooked. It's a good way to regulate my energy levels so I can be awake when I need to. I just quit as an experiment because my friend told me I would withdraw and I didn't believe it would be so severe! Boy was I wrong!
        • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Cool experiment to be honest, and I think it's cool that you tried it! Makes for a good story too and a real life 'case study' of the effects of caffeine. Maybe you really should stay off
          • [ – ] PopcornLobotomy parent reply May do, will see how I go. I am enjoying the occasional cup of tea at the moment, but it's somewhat emasculating! Why can't they give teas manly names like "Panther Carnage" or "Steele Warrior", instead of names like "English Breakfast" and "Earl Grey" ?
            • danielamann parent reply I actually also love tea, depending on the type! Hahahahah I love the names! Someone out there needs to start up the manly tea company and do this! = D
  • [ – ] TVG_GameZ reply not bad buddy!! :)
  • [ – ] LowLife-Gamer reply and my thing that I wanna ask. is how long you and Haylee have been together. and how you guys meant. forgive me if you have made a video on it and I have not watched it. for I am 2 weeks? in to your channel. keep up the good work. and look forward to seeing you grow above all on vidme. take care brother wish you the best!
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply I will save those for the Q&A!!! I haven't made a video on that yet, but I think I am going to sometime around our anniversary or something like that, because it is a good topic. Wishing you the best as well =D
  • [ – ] LowLife-Gamer reply dude. just wanna say we make 100% diff videos. but I watch you and you a awesome never stop being you you are gold.
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Oh wow! That's amazing to hear that someone who doesn't necessarily have an interest in vlogs (or at least making them) can still find entertainment and enjoyment in what I do! Seriously that means a lot to me =D
      • [ – ] LowLife-Gamer parent reply being honest man. go for it go al the way. I watch vlogs. but I keep coming back to you and wanting to keep track. your my age and you are down to earth. for real keep it up and your veiwers will follow. because you are very good at what you do. thumbs up from me!
  • [ – ] Proto reply I live in British Columbia, you think rain is a problem? I WAS MOLDED BY THE RAIN! On the topic of giving and receiving, it feels so nice to be selfless and do things for others. When you see their facial expression change, that is enough for me to justify what I did.
    • danielamann parent reply Ahhhh, friends from even more north than myself! I'm only about 2 hours (maybe less) from the border, so it's pretty similar but I know you've got it even worse! Especially this year! I absolutely agree, there are so many great feelings that come from helping out others who need it =D
  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply Hey, another great vlog! Caffeine overamps me and then causes the dramatic loss of energy, so my body is way too sensitive to it. You are fortunate to not need it. As for Q & A: What are your favorite authors and why? If you could start your own business, what would it be? And if you could live anywhere on Earth, where would you choose? So, three questions for now. Here in Hawaii it gets so hot that the rain is the only thing that brings cool temperature relief. I like that you include a user comment at the end of your videos. That's different. And you choose fun music. Anyway, thanks for keeping the wisdom coming!
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply Ohhhh so it like is an energy boost followed by a crash? That sounds awful! Thanks for the questions, I've got them stored for the future!!!! I would really like to be in Hawaii...I could handle the hot I think a lot better than I could handle the cold. Also, I too love the Fan of the Day segment of the videos. I think it is important part of what I do every day =D Thanks for the kind words
      • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas parent reply Oh, yeah, the font. It's kinda cool. It's fun to experiment with different ones. Oh, and the look you give the camera when talking about the rain! I guess for the Q & A I don't have to ask what your biggest pet peeve is!
  • [ – ] XandyPants reply I think the font is cool! Q: what do you want from a good font? xD
    • danielamann parent reply Glad you like the font! I still remain undecided. Hopefully I make my mind up sooner than later! Hmmmm....A good font...I'll be thinking about that one!
  • [ – ] MutantPixel reply I'm not a coffee drinker my self. But whenever I do get it I'm super hyped for about 2 or 3 hours lol. And all there is to say is people should be nice to each other and help out. Especially if they're helping you out. People are selfish creatures these days and it can get annoying. But hey there are people like all of us here on Vid.me and we seem to be a good lot :)
    • danielamann parent reply I agree, Vidme is a great group and there are so many people here willing to go out of their way to teach or answer questions, or whatever we need! It's one of the reasons I love it here so much to be completely honest. Also, definitely have to say that the world would be a better place if people were all a little nicer and a little more willing to help one another out, just saying ;D
  • [ – ] JessicaMartwin reply In all of your videos you just keep proving that you are a really nice guy! Oh, and another great vlog.
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply NO! STOP! I'm rude, and awful, and never nice to anyone =C HAHAHAHAH! It felt weird just typing that. I'm far from perfect, but I try to be kind and respectful and attribute a lot to my parents and the way they raised me! Thanks for such kind words and nice praise. That was really nice of you Jessica
  • [ – ] CiliRat reply I went 43 years hating coffee. then two years ago that changed and I loved it. Two weeks ago I started getting sick every time I had any... I can't win! LOL!
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply I'd never had it until about 2 years ago. Then I decided that I really like it, but it's almost just kind of like a treat for me. Going and getting a coffee is like going out and getting an ice cream cone. It's not something I do very much, but when I do I really like it. Also, wow it really does sound like you can't win! What is going on there?
      • [ – ] CiliRat parent reply No idea. It's almost as if I am developing an allergy to coffee.
        • [ – ] danielamann parent reply I've heard people can develop allergies to anything, so I suppose it is possible!!!
          • [ – ] CiliRat parent reply As you get older Allergies can pop up you never had before and some can actually fade. When I was a kid, I had two allergies, Penicillin, and Bees. Now The tests say I am ok with Penicillin but I can add Cat's Cashews, and apparently Coffee to the list...... Maybe I should avoid anything starting with the letter 'C'. I also carry an Epi Pen due to the Bee allergy but I have never had to use it.
            • danielamann parent reply Yeah I've heard that before! A friend of mines grandpa was allergic to tons of stuff as a kid and young adult, and then about in his 30s everything he could eat started becoming an allergy and a lot of things he couldn't became the new things he could have. Really weird
  • [ – ] hailstorm reply Q&A questions: how'd you get so handsome? What's your greatest accomplishment? Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What do you want for your birthday? 3 golf courses on your bucket list? How many dogs should I surprise you with 6 or 67? (Also I'm so lucky that you're so helpful and kind to other people, you're the best, hopefully you got extra caramel on your caramel latte cause you deserve it)
    • danielamann parent reply Some of these questions are probably impossible to answer ;D Gosh sometimes you're such a pain to me, but always in the nicest ways possible!!! Thanks for all the questions dork!!!! Also, there was a lack of caramel, but it was still quite good
  • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas reply It's good help somebody out for when they are not good at something the other person us their own skills to help them out.
    • danielamann parent reply I agree! It's the way the world is set up to work too! We all have our own skill sets and talents and everyone can contribute in one way or another. It is by working together to accomplish our goals that we find success, rather than by trying to pursue it ourselves
  • [ – ] DoobelS reply Some Qs for your Q&A that you can A: Are you into any other sports than golf? Do you like gaming? And where do you want to travel? :)
    • danielamann parent reply Dude thanks for providing me with these! All good questions and I'll hold on to them! I appreciate it, and look forward to answering them ;D
  • [ – ] theoldsparrow reply I try to live by that principle, too. As for coffee I am very sensitive to caffeine. I usually drink two cups a day and It will keep me wired til mid afternoon.
    • danielamann parent reply Wow! Maybe it is like a genetic thing or something...Neither of my parents, nor my brother drink coffee...And we all do good without it. Even though it's normal, it always has seemed 'weird' to me that people rely on it to get through their day
  • [ – ] CrazyRocky reply Such good messages to live by man. I see your always at it with the top quality vlogs and core message (old meme :p) seriously though great video man!
    • danielamann parent reply LOL at that top quality meme! ;D Thanks for the kind words dude, I appreciate it as always! I try to make my vlogs something that not only creates a community conversation, but that can also help people out in some way or another, whether that be as a creator or just as a person
  • [ – ] dalestark05 reply great video that was nice of your friend to give u a gift card
    • danielamann parent reply Super nice of her =D Couldn't believe she did that, definitely not something that I was expecting! It was so nice of her to do too, and the coffee was really good...Trust me, it made my day! Thanks for stopping by man!
  • [ – ] KotaTail reply If you ever had a dream job based on the skills you have right now, what would you want to do for a dream job?
  • [ – ] BrianAiya reply I seriously can't remember the last time i drank from Starbucks. Give without expecting :) That's cool of your friend.
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply I hardly ever do, but when I do I drink it in about 30 seconds ;D I usually won't ever go out of my way to go there, but having a gift card was a special circumstance. I couldn't believe she did that, totally caught me off guard. Do you drink coffee?
      • [ – ] BrianAiya parent reply well i live in Greece. That's they only thing Greeks drink. Coffee for greeks is like wine for french people.
        • danielamann parent reply Welllll, I guess that answers my question then ;D And I learned that Greeks really like their coffee! Learning something new every day
  • [ – ] Mr2ndopinion reply It's a great method! I give you a comment and an upvote! Hope we both can become worldleaders this way! ;)
  • jrswab reply Cool vlog man. I've been debating on vlogging but keep hitting that wall of "what is really going to be interesting" since from my point of view I do the same things each day...
  • wolfalexzemla reply coffee by that company is an insult
  • [ – ] Brettkeanevideo reply Give something and get something? Sounds like it belongs in a movie not reality. Most of the time people don't get back what they deserve.
    • [ – ] danielamann parent reply This is true, a lot of times they don't unfortunately. I wish the world wasn't like that, but it is. For me and this video, I was more focused on the act of doing something with no expectations of return, and once in a while someone surprises you by returning the favor, like what happened to me. Cheers mate
      • [ – ] Brettkeanevideo parent reply What do you want? What do you expect in return?
        • [ – ] danielamann parent reply What do you mean?
          • [ – ] Brettkeanevideo parent reply The entire idea is getting back what you put in right? So what do you expect the return to be lol?
            • [ – ] danielamann parent reply I think the point of the video was that people say "Give something to get something" but that there is a catch....The catch being that sometimes you just do things to help people who need it that you can contribute to without expecting things in return, and that sometimes when you do that situations like what happened to me arise out of it anyway
              • [ – ] Brettkeanevideo parent reply Altruism or selflessness is the principle or practice of concern for the welfare of others. It is a traditional virtue in many cultures and a core aspect of various religious traditions and secular worldviews, though the concept of "others" toward whom concern should be directed can vary among cultures and religions. You believe this Dan?
