  • duffy reply hey dude! thanks for the feedback. these are great ideas man. will share with the team today!
  • [ – ] alex reply There's a new Vidme Android app in the store — now with comment replies. Check it out and let me know what you think.
    • [ – ] alex parent reply Also has a fix for the landscape squishing issue.
    • ArcadePunch parent reply Yeah I really like it and I'm glad they addressed the nested comments (using it now). I know vidme will be compared to YouTube for a while but the one thing I love about the YouTube app is being able to minimize the current video I'm watching so that I can browse other channels and videos. Other than that I'm very impressed with it.
  • ArcadePunch reply I agree and think the revolving content/carousel of what is trending/hot is the most important as of now, especially to attract new users especially during the YouTube fiasco. I definitely understand vidme is a new platform and I think showing and cycling through new content will help grow the user base. That was the first thing I noticed before I joined. @vid.me
  • ScribbleSeal reply I think the carousel would be super useful! It would also keep the "hot" videos from getting stale. I also know that Vid.Me is really good about accepting criticism and wanting to grow as a platform. :) (By the way, you have really good verbal skills. :D)
  • [ – ] alex reply Really amazing feedback. We're going to take action on most of this. Thanks again.
  • [ – ] ChaosPPE reply Agreed with all the points, ALTHOUGH YOU WOULD NEVER GET COMMUNICATION LIKE DUFFY WITH YOUTUBE! Keep it up x
  • [ – ] OVlogick reply I really like all of these suggestions. I think it'd be really cool if vid.me became the alternative to youtube.
  • Calibri_Funtimes reply Great suggestions! Be sure to also leave feedback at Reddit/VidMe so the awesome people behind VidMe can take note!
  • RetroMillennia reply Let's get this to the top so the Humans at Vidme can see it! <3
  • TheCrossSpace reply middle click will open a new tab from the link your mouse is over. This works on chrome but not sure about others.
  • gabmcking reply carousel would be awsome but instead of tumbnail i rather have 5 star system
  • Ms_K reply awesome ideas
  • MrATAndreiThomas reply These are pretty good suggestions you have made I've noticed that on my Sony xperia XA that there are no comments replies on the vidme mobile application I hope they'll fix that soon. I also I want to see on vidme is annotations for video outros so the viewers can select the videos what they want to watch
  • Rawman reply I think these are great ideas, but i actually really like the notifications its very convenient to reply etc...try right clicking the notification box and open it in the tab that might help. makes it easier to see and stuff. Pinning is very important, i would like that too even if its for my own comment it might be important, people really seem to read comments over a description (we all do it lol). great video, i have a list of about 40 things...haha
  • EthanSmith reply I agree with all of these!! great ideas!
  • kendrakane reply What about Trending videos? Do they just disappear after awhile? Someone i watch videos is complaining their trending videos disappear too soon.
  • TheDebraSanchez reply These are all really good suggestions. I would love to see Vid.me have a streaming service. It's also nice to see that the community is active and the people at Vid.me are also listening to us and taking our feedback into account.
  • abbeygaro reply I 10000% agree with all of these. Such genius :)
  • clidefrog reply 1. Chromecast on the app 2. share -> hangout / sms 3. vote DOWN
  • Rickyyvaldez reply Awesome suggestions I was thinking about some of these things as well, and you hit every single point i was finding that vid.me can improve and being new to this platform i really enjoy it, but can always get better!
  • YamiryuuZero reply Really good ideas! Even better is seeing the moderators also liking your ideas! :D I see I'll end up loving vidme!
  • epicDoC reply I like the suggestions, would defo improve the platform
  • PUREGAMINGDNA reply Brilliant suggestions bro! 👌👌 I would like to see a categories section included and your links to Twitter etc showing on mobiles on your banner somewhere, as well as the amount of followers and your YouTube. The mobile version is great but can be improved further. 😀
  • Good_News_This_Morning reply ads something you could introduce but make it individual - ie though vidme (so vidme takes a cut) but the video uploader finds the advertiser (maybe through a list vidme provides). This would bipass the attempts at censorship that Youtube are forced into since the advertiser would have OK'd the advertising with the channel. Or is it a silly idea?
  • JamesPawson reply Yeah, I do put a fair bit of effort into my thumbnails, I agree on that one. I am personally not bothered about the other stuff, but great video anyhow!
  • Mr_Ripman reply YES! I'm not the only one who thinks Vidme should have streams! Huzzah!
  • evesea reply Also, having the ability to view more on the sidebar would be great.. Also would fill in a bunch of the space on the right.
  • evesea reply Notifications being easy to reply and keep track of my comments chains are huge. Youtube has made it harder and harder for me to do that and that would be a legit selling point for myself and I'm sure many others as a viewer.
  • [ – ] CrazyKrys reply What's your background song called?
    • RetroMillennia parent reply It's called Dream Castle (Holder Remix) By Snail's House! You can listen to it on Snail's Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/ujico
  • Babyman-Jr reply Great suggestions i hope these get added!
  • StellyAndTheMonkey reply I think the most important thing for me and probably other creators it to show off your best playlists and shows to people like you can do on Youtube. People want to watch your best work first and if they like it they continue to your other things. So I would love to have the option as default to have my featured shows as playlists show up as the first thing on my channel.
  • sandia_mesa_mlh reply These are some really good ideas actually! I, personally, would like to see: 1. CC/Subtitles (even collaborating with other users to work on translating them) 2. Streaming (of course) 3. Not using autoplay in the iOS app 4. Custom thumbnails and cover art for albums 5. Ability to implement custom icons and/or new icons for different social media websites, like on the tab bar of the channel (e.g. Discord). 6. Connect to Facebook pages, not just the user itself Awesome video, man! - Sean King
  • rumjar86 reply Awesome ideas man. Can't wait to see what happens here. YouTube's loss is vidmes gain not to mention that creators have a chance of being noticed here and a chance to grow considering YouTube saying that all newly posted videos get placed on recommended videos for 7 days.... which is probably not true. Well from my experience... keep up making videos bud. Can't wait to see what you come up with next
  • Revvilo reply You can middle click to open a link in a new tab :P
  • slaughtz reply I'm new so don't know if it works at all the way I think, but maybe categories should be like hashtags. Also, there can be promoted content/ads on certain categories maybe, as extra revenue for the site. So, for example, I can post a video and then pay to have it 'featured' at the top of the #gaming category. Everyone else who paid can have their own featured video cycled in/out with others who bought the featuring. Also, for the color coding of notifications, they can just color-code the text that's already there... 'Derpdude just [RED]followed[/RED]" and 'derpdude just [GREEN]liked[/GREEN]'.. pretty easy temporary implementation
  • TheMichaelJShow reply Presently, I only have use of the mobile app so it is my main way of using VidMe. I comment on most videos I watch and like to post positive comments. I see that someone responded to a comment but neither see comment nor who responded. It world be great to not only see comment but be able to click on the name to send response. Unlike YT people seem a lot more friendly and it would be great to engage in actual conversation. Why else would you be on a "social platform"? OH, and the ability to edit my comments after I post. As an idiot, I always find my typos, spelling errors and grammatical fuckups after I post. So editing my posted comments and responses is essential to life in a civilized online community.
  • Brologic_Productions reply I like the idea that trending videos had their own little panel or something on the front page instead of having to go to each category individually unless I wanted too. I'd also like to see the search engine have the ability to only search for tags in a given category. I feel like that would enhance the experience for searching for particular videos, though I wouldn't be surprised if that's later down the line.
  • katradMLGPRO reply Cool i agree everyone do #justdoit
  • StayandPlay reply All good suggestions
  • countrymusing reply These are some great suggestions. Thanks for the video!
  • BrianAiya reply these are good suggestions, gonna tag @vidme so that they can see this.
  • [ – ] TheGamingCentaur reply Definitely send them this on feedback friday :)
    • [ – ] RetroMillennia parent reply Why specifically Friday? Is that when they listen to the community for stuff??
      • TheGamingCentaur parent reply Yep! On Reddit actually. The only reason I know this is because they usually post it on Facebook. Here's an example of their posts: https://www.reddit.com/r/vidme/comments/62nii9/its_feedback_friday_all_your_thought_are_belong/ & It's probably on fridays because letter puns
