Continuing my discussion about Gavin De Becker's The Gift of Fear. This is a series of videos that will discuss some of the best points of his book. I recommend that anyone who takes their safety seriously get a copy of this book. In this video I discuss Too Many Details. When people tell the truth, they don’t feel the need to substantiate their claims. However, when they lie, they know they’re lying and often have to convince themselves by adding additional details. Armed with this fact, it can become apparent when someone is adding extraneous details to a conversation in order to distract you. Book Info: De Becker, G. (1997).
