The chase started in the Willis area after the driver, identified as Jessica Chatman, was wanted on a felony warrant for stalking, deputies said. The driver of a gray Ford sedan was heading south on the I-45 North Freeway from Montgomery County, then exited on N. Shepherd. At some point, the driver ran over spike strips and blew out the front driver side tire. She then passed 34th Street and the North Loop. The driver eventually turned into a parking lot near N. Shepherd Drive and 11th Street and police took her into custody. Chatman was charged with stalking in 2013 after she threatened to kill a man. She was convicted of harassment, a lesser charge, and ordered to serve a year in jail. There were no injuries during the chase.
