  • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas reply Sooo... The moral of the story - smoking is bad for you. And your kids. Just say no.
    • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy parent reply Yes! You take time out of your day to smoke... precious time. Time you can never get back. I used to smoke but I missed so much being outside and chain smoking. Now I use a vape pen and now I don't have to go outside :)
      • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas parent reply I chain-smoked for a few years and eventually my lungs said "no more!" Does the vape pen make it easier on the lungs? Not that I'm looking to start again. I think I have an addictive personality. I have a sign on the fridge that says "I'm an addict. Don't buy me sugar!" I just love it too much.
        • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy parent reply It does! I smoked for 15 years (I started when I was 12). I tried cold turkey but I nearly punched a pregnant woman in the face (she would have deserved it but the child was innocent). The military gave me pills but once they ran out a few more the later I went right back to cigs so quickly like they were going out of style. I even tried weening myself off but the prospect of having less made me so anxious that I needed more. But then my own lungs told me the same thing and a friend of mine had me try the electronic cigs (this was before the big vape pens and when you could only get them from China). It was hard at first but I got used to them. I did eventually go back to cigs bc the wait time to get them was so long. But once they started getting made in the US and at great quality, I went right back to them. I breathe so much better now. I hope you enjoy my book ^^^^^ lol
          • [ – ] Flying_Purple_Pizzas parent reply Extra information is always nice, and I like books. You must have had a lot going on when you were 12 to be drawn to the cigs. I always told myself I'd never smoke because my mother smoked and it was hard to be around her when she did. Stunk up the whole house. She drank alcohol regularly and I also told myself I wouldn't do that either. So of course I ended up doing both. It took not being able to breathe and getting sick to get me to quit the cigs and seeing the hit to the rest of my health to get me off the alcohol. My mother eventually quit smoking but only because the doctor told her it was that or she'd be dead shortly. I once read something that said the tobacco companies load their products with a hundred different chemicals or somesuch, many of them just for the purpose of keeping their customers addicted. Evil. Sad. I've known so many people who were desperate to quit but just couldn't. The vapes seem so much cleaner.
            • [ – ] MarzieMalfoy parent reply Yes. There are many poisons such as arsenic that are put in it to be more addictive. Nicotine itself is addictive so even smoking spirits won't help. Spirits are the all natural cigs that doesn't have thing added. But! Just like arsenic, Nicotine is a poison. It's the tobacco plant's natural defense against bugs that would eat it.
              • MarzieMalfoy parent reply All that's in a vape is synthetic Nicotine, a liquid base, and flavoring. And you can get the liquid without Nicotine too.
  • [ – ] theoldsparrow reply The blips were intensifying. This one hits a bit close to home so it worked on multiple levels. :D
  • [ – ] HeroicVillain reply Hey, is it normal to see my reflection in all the windows in my house at once?
