In this video I talk about the effects of PS VITA firmware 3.65 which was recently released, such as how it blocks ARK-2 so prevents your system from being able to run PSP and PS1 backups.
I also offer advice on how you can keep your Vita running low firmware, and still use the content manager to transfer files to your system. As well as temporarily access the PSN on low firmware so that you can download a PSP demo or game for ARK-2, and make sure your system is activated.
The final things covered in this video is a preview of my upcoming Vita video schedule, as well as some information about an upcoming Discord server being set up for my Youtube Channel's community to make use of.
The HENkaku DNS trick to spoof access to PSN will most likely stop working in just a few more days or weeks, then only 3.65 systems will be able to access the PSN without a special HENkaku spoof which of course is only possible on 3.60 firmware.
HENkaku DNS settings which trick your Vita into thinking 3.60 is the latest firmware are as below:
Primary DNS: 22.214.171.124
Secondary DNS: 126.96.36.199
To keep using Content Manager to transfer files to your vita running old firmware, make sure you have the QCMA software installed on your PC and then tweak the settings as I show how in the video. Also if you are using a portable Vita, make sure you put the device in Flight mode (or disable the WIFI) before connecting to the PC.
You can download QCMA software from the following URL:
