  • [ – ] MFKraven reply I hate when it a show that starts off great just negates storyline to "please" the viewer. Thats the main reason I stopped watching Supernatural. Question- what anime would you recommend for someone that hasnt really seen any other anime besides Pokemon & Deathnote?
    • [ – ] theoldsparrow parent reply That was part of the reason I gave this second season a scathing review. I really didn't like the second season at least after immediately watching the first. As for recommendations it really depends on if you want to watch it is Japanese with subtitles or not. For a decent English dubbed anime I would recommend Trigun. It has an interesting setting, great characters, and enough action and mystery to keep you excited and intrigued for the duration of the show. If you don't mind or actually like subtitles that opens up a lot more possibilities.
      • [ – ] MFKraven parent reply I'd prefer subtitles to be honest, I live about 5 mins away from Little Tokyo and when I was in high school I'd go over there and this spot would turn into a J-Horror bootleg shop. I realized then that I loved to feel the authenticity of the actor's emotion in their voices.
        • [ – ] MFKraven parent reply having a ton of gore would be a plus too lol
          • [ – ] theoldsparrow parent reply Oh wow. That's a nice attitude to have if you want to get into anime. I would highly recommend Basilisk. Think warring states period Japanese Romeo and Juliet with ninjas and a lot of blood.
            • [ – ] MFKraven parent reply im gonna put that on my to watch list, i saw a trailer for it and it looks pretty badass and i love the warring states period, i had no idea what they were called lol i always just said Total War Shogun 2 period lol
              • theoldsparrow parent reply lol. Japan loves the warring states period and their historical dramas. You'll see lots of characters from this period, especially Oda Nobunaga, used in anime, manga, video games, movies, and books. If you like the setting there's plenty more. :D
