  • [ – ] sneaky_bobo reply I chose to start my new channel here instead of youtube. After I saw most of my favorite content producers struggle with rigged algorithm and demotization I do not want to let them profit on my work.
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply I don't blame you man which I have to agree I don't want youtube to profit my own work as well for them to make money for themselves out of someone else's content is just plain wrong and it is theft it just sickens me to death for someone to make money for themselves out of your videos that you put your own effort into
    • girlreadingbooks parent reply Same! I had one video uploaded to YT and then found out about VidMe. After scoping it out, I haven't looked back. Now more than ever we need people to be creative with how they monetize and support independent sites like VidMe!
  • [ – ] Lawborn reply Youtube is a drag. Boycott sounds fine to me.
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply I agree, I'm just glad i left youtube at new years eve 2016 because I knew at some point to a degree that youtube were continuing to mess up big time.
  • [ – ] Calibri_Funtimes reply Part of the problem is that YouTube is trying to be the new cable TV. Well, viewers purposefully go to YouTube because it's NOT cable. They're slowly killing themselves and they don't realize it. So long as VidMe stays true to it's own mission statement, this implosion of board room agendas will be avoided.
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply That's exactly indeed true and thats when karma will bite youtube on the back side for turning their back on us content creators all to become cable TV when we all ready got cable TV that we are trying to escape from and the media doesn't like it.
  • [ – ] TheMichaelJShow reply I'm spending this weekend unfollowing content providers on YouTube and following them on VidMe. It's sad that so many YouTubers will put up with their bullshit than take a risk and move to this wonderful site.
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply Yeah well i gave up youtube last year at new years eve 2016 not only because of the Advertising friendly guidelines and their heroes program but by the fact they have lied about the unsubscribing glitch which they already knew about the issue.
  • [ – ] RobbieRotten reply YouTube is falling from it's grace several years ago. I love it here and on VBF more than YouTube.
  • [ – ] Anyeti reply I agree big YouTubers who had an easy life and no worries caused this....
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply Exactly and they are the same big youtubers that cause drama for the sake of getting more views and more money for themselves is damn right disgusting, for them to make drama videos is completely boring.
  • [ – ] MakeCrap reply I don't think YouTube will completely fade away. I am still going to upload there as well as here. All we can do is support each other now.
    • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas parent reply Youtube may not fade but they have clearly shot themselves in the foot many of times to the point that small content creators like myself are getting tired of youtube's selfishess and neglect.
      • [ – ] MakeCrap parent reply How long have you been uploading on Vidme and what do you think the future of Vidme will be? I started a channel just today.
        • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas parent reply I joined vidme in February 19th 2014 the same year that vidme was created, at the time I couldn't remember when I signed up to vidme until they revealed the date of year that I joined which really jogged my memory then right after youtube have stupidly implemented the advertising friendly guidelines I saw vidme's confrontation video of the statue of liberty persuading uses like myself to join vidme so I joined as I couldn't remember if I signed up as my main username was already taken so I typed in the URL of my username and it was already existed on vidme so tried logging in and I got through to my main username as MrATAndreiThomas and that's when I started to post videos on vidme from late 2016 right after youtube's advertising friendly guidelines Bullshit. And This is when I'll keep posting videos here through generations to come as I left youtube at new years eve 2016 because they lied about the unsubscribe glitch issue.
          • [ – ] girlreadingbooks parent reply I love that VidMe keeps comment character cap really long. It's time we were able to express ourselves in full sentences again.
            • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply I agree completely
            • c-159DC parent reply The way they fuck the comment section algorithm that the top comments don't even show up properly from highest to lowest isn't really unintentional. It's an easier way for them to manipulate the comment section. Especially those they deemed politically incorrect.
    • [ – ] girlreadingbooks parent reply Investors and Google CSuite/BoardofDirectors will hold on to the very end. You can bet on it. A dog is only more vicious when backed into a corner.
  • [ – ] MrRonlivingstone reply What I also hate about youtube is. when you upload a video that contains a music song. it sometimes includes copyright content
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply I know what you mean bro, it's youtube's Stupid Content Identification System, given the Big corporations and the mainstream medias the ability to block your videos that you created and sticking their ads on your own video just so they can make money for themselves while the content creators get nothing and it is so wrong and annoying, this has happened to me in the past when I uploaded a number of my speed Drawing videos with music to fit my drawing videos and its on some of my Thrill seeking POV videos and that pisses me off. I hate it when these greedy Bastards are making money for themselves out of my own videos that I created, it's really disgusting, that's one of the reasons why I hate youtube and I not going back to that pathetic website ever again.
  • [ – ] Misogynazi reply Boycott youtube!..... youtube is anti-Male...... youtube is anti-free speech.... youtube is run by feminazis and their mangina slaves...... youtube is destroying itself.... Just look at what youtube is now doing to close down MGTOW channels while it promotes femtard channels..... youtube femtards are running scared of the growing MGTOW movement so they are trying to silence us, but we will simply move to other sites, sites that still believe in Free Speech such as vidme.
  • [ – ] Rayman327 reply YouTube has been steadily going downhill for the pass two years and I have to say I'm glad. I don't think it's the end of Youtube, they will still be around unless there's some mass exodus from the big content creators to Vidme or some other site, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
  • [ – ] FindingWonderment reply I agree with your points. Take away the censorship that YouTube brings and create a community of users for the people and by the people! We are our own advertisers!
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply Exactly, ordinary small content creators come first not advertisers and not censorship. On the Internet we run things our way and not the mainstream medias way, youtube got all messed up and now I don't trust them no more.
  • [ – ] BloodMoonGaming reply This is the End of the Internet as we know it...
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply It's not the end of the Internet buddy we can still defeat censorship, we have vidme a website that is paradise that respects all of us ordinary content creators without censorship.
  • [ – ] KrustyKrabEmployee reply Youtube has really fucked everything up...
  • [ – ] venuecam reply Susan Wojicki (YT CEO) should have been removed from her position years ago. If YT is losing money year over year and they haven't got rid of her then YT has them selves to blame. VidMe is to facebook what YT is to MySpace. So long YT.
  • [ – ] Tai_Moya reply 💯➡
  • Tai_Moya reply @sneaky_bobo same here bro.
  • [ – ] MrRonlivingstone reply I miss the 2008-2010 days of youtube. those we're the kick ass years of youtube back then
  • [ – ] WayneLeviPrice reply Thanks for the info
  • [ – ] CedricTV reply great video sir
  • [ – ] CitizenTruth reply Screw Youtube! I just left now!
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply yeah Screw Youtube! they are the most manipulative and untrustworthy platform ever, vidme is the new beginning for all of us content creators to rise.
  • [ – ] SubZeroAppleSauce reply It's not something that hasn't been said before, but YouTube gets worse every year.
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply exactly YouTube always gets worse every year and this is the final straw since they have lied last year about subscribing glitch i have to stop posting videos on youtube cause i could not trust them anymore and i just new they made things even more worse on their platform thats why i am glad i backed away from youtube and looked forward to vidme.
  • [ – ] girlreadingbooks reply It makes me feel invigorated that I see vlogs like this from people all over the world. We are all wise enough to see through the mechanics of censorship...
  • [ – ] LoveLiberty reply A group discussing youtube problems & alliance https://discord.gg/tfKetzd
  • [ – ] sandia_mesa_mlh reply Good video, man! It's not excusable that YouTube is implying stupid things like Restricted Mode without our notice, but also neglecting the very people that defined their website.
    • MrATAndreiThomas parent reply Exactly it's just plain pathetic treat their small content creators like crap I really got fed up of youtube's Bullshit and the fact they lied last year about the unsubscribe glitch issue just got me furious because they knew about the glitch which was the worst thing.
  • [ – ] BloodMoonGaming reply Matt Damon
  • Paul_W reply The "funny" thing about the whole situation is that YT pushed and promoted the channels that pushed the limits on decency. Then the advertisers catch on and YT drops the very channels that they pushed like a hot potato!
  • Ms_K reply great video and points
  • [ – ] lazyvirus reply keep our voice free vidme! fuck you tube
  • [ – ] GoldenWizard77 reply Wrong. They haven't made videos promoting racism, terrorism. You sound like a PC, SJW, BLM type. The fact is they have been pointing out the hypocrisy of the left, and the leftist media, companies, do not like that.
  • [ – ] MassReflux reply I don't really mind the content creators as long as they don't do anything wrong no matter how big or small they are and there communities, I just wanna check out videos of my taste, and it is pretty diverse, sure, I think some channels are pretty uninteresting or just aren't for me and I think some are aids and unworthy, but I don't think they shouldn't be able to have there crap on there as long as they don't do anything wrong, they can go for it, but they should be aware that if they do something scummy, the community may call them out, especially the commentary community, I think the problem only is the people behind YouTube, the users are one thing, the people who provide the site is another, I do wish we were at the Channel 2.0 years, I think those were the best times, the channel layout could be customised pretty nicely, video responses, a video tab that came in handy when Channel 3.0 was around considering if you used it you'd have a playlist which made things quicker if you wa...morented to watch more of that users videos, Channel 2.0, brilliant, click on videos to watch them while being on the channel, so you didn't have to leave the channel to watch a video and as a result you didn't need to go back and forth spending time and keeping track, granted they did have there little thing that shows you've watched the video, and also granted that there is now the useful progress bar thing on every video you watch and they can help you keep track, but it doesn't stay forever and it isn't the same without the Channel 2.0 layout, it was pretty easy to understand and we could add whatever we could on it, at the beginning, things weren't too bad, the only thing I could complain about is the video bar changing and still then it was a minor complaint that I could shrug off, then more things changed and then things got less minor and a little more suggestive, instead of shrugging the changes off, I was thinking, "no I really don't like this" but that wasn't the end of the world, back then layout changes felt like the biggest thing we could complain about, but the more this happened, the more I stopped trusting YouTube, granted 2009 had problems, Content ID is pretty rubbish and those ads pissed me off, but hey I get why they are there, but I didn't like it, mostly because they were in the way, but I thought Channel 2.0 was the best layout that meant so much, but then we got the Channel 3.0 layout and the cosmic panda layout, I didn't like that, I wanted them to go back, but the video tab thing and video responses were around, so that was cool, but then they went and Google + came, well, that was a fail, I got pissed, then Content ID got updated which meant lots of dangerous injustices, we know how it works, that shown me that no, layouts aren't the number one priority, privacy and copyRIGHTS is, something Content ID put in a lot of trouble, It's like YouTube gets worse with a few good bits here and there that don't really fix the bigger problems, fast forward to this day, and all I have to say is, Boogie2988 did say "You've made some decisions that shuck the love and trust we had with you, and now you have begun to effect the user the same way, they do not trust you anymore, once the advertisers stop trusting you, that's when all of this crumbles like a castle build of sand" that was said 3 years ago, now maybe the advertisers might come back one day idk, I'm seeing a bunch of stories about this situation, there's also sponsors and crowdfunding, so from the looks of it, all those decisions were done by YouTube and not the users, so I don't really have much to say about the users other then think of what I think of them, but YouTube does promote the shitty ass users that are just a bunch of trendy fags, such pandering fuckers, and YouTube may well be a bunch of liars who hide there plans, even with a community who is happy to help (no not YouTube Heroes) I believe that YouTube is put in control of the wrong hands, but if YouTube dies, I'm not really bothered, I hate it, I only go on it because the people I like are not on here or whatever, maybe they'll be a archive at the end like Vine, sure I might lose some people I like but Vidme or VidBit (Future) or whatever will be there and everyone will be happy, I love all those kids on YouTube who say "everyone join Dailymotion" or "there needs to be a alternative" there are alternatives, now everyone should go on one or there will be no new YouTube (don't pick Dailymotion) there choice.
    • [ – ] MrATAndreiThomas parent reply I have no respect for youtube anymore after what they did to use content creators by keeping us in the dark, promoting some of the most striking lines, talentless big content creators on YouTube rewind, changing channel layouts to 3.0 cosmic panda back in 2012 to 4.0 the one channel back in 2013, both the cosmic panda and the one channel are the worst set of channel layouts that youtube ever created, youtube had messed up so many times that really pissed a lot of users off, the subscribing glitch began in spring 2012 which made me lost over 10,000 subscribers back then before they force implemented the cosmic panda layout, then in late 2013 right after they forced implementated the one channel they added a stupid new commenting system to merge with Google plus then in December 2013 they upgraded the content identification system which was last introduced in mid 2008 which got me to leave youtube, then I came back in 2016 to continue making my videos consistently until they implemented ...morethe stupid advertising friendly guidelines and the youtube heroes programme, which was the final straw for me and to top it all of they had lied to us content creators saying that they was no subscribing glitch when they was and thats when started to leave youtube again but this time for permanent as I left youtube at new years eve 2016 to start fresh with vidme, MetaJolt and Vidbit future and now all the advertisers are pulling their ads away from YouTube which I knew more shit was about to with youtube and you know what, I am glad I left youtube to suffer the same way treat us small content creators like garbage with their deceitfulness hence, karma just bit youtube on the back side, so I am glad I left youtube for good which I'll be more supportive to vidme, all the way to the end.
      • [ – ] MassReflux parent reply Lol who can respect YouTube anymore? First content creators stop trusting them, then the viewer, and now the advertisers, no one trusts them, I personally stopped trusting them when the cosmic panda layout was relevant because it looked like things weren't getting better. YouTube Rewind isn't good nor is it fair really, I only enjoyed 2012 and that's about it, they knew that we hated Google + but didn't do anything back then, and I know because the 2013 rewind had Bob at the end, y'know, that stick figure guy, it couldn't of been a coincidence, also, you'd expect "all" popular users on there, well there are popular people on there but you'd expect someone like Philip DeFranco to be on... nope, just given a excuse, if I remember right, he didn't get in because he didn't support something political, just shows that YouTube wants the users they want rather then what the community wants, perhaps someone should set up a project to make a third party Rewind and get everyone involved rather ...morethen just a compilation of there content. The main problem is YouTube makes bad decisions which make things very frustrating, they are taking away the "You" in YouTube, so we will never get the "You" feeling again, there will be no amateur sensations like Charlie bit me, or rising independent work just like that, there home page is mostly TV Shows, not very "You" is it? And if they do succeed on making a YouTube TV, they're probably gonna have the shitty pandering pussy people on there, they should be communicating with the community who again is willing to help, if them lying bastards shutdown, first imma join da YouTube is Over Party since it really will be over, I'm not gonna say anything positive to them, and second, my guess is everyone will be on Vidme or Dailymotion (I hope Vidme) since most people know them, everyone will be happy on Vidme that's for sure, at least they'll have people who interact with the community, Dailymotion we're not sure how they'll interact if they get a massive flux of users.
